This company is very small and does not have the capacity, talent, experience, expertise, and bandwidth to handle projects larger than one bathroom remodel. I do believe and hope they can handle very small projects but nothing more. They certainly failed us miserably. Because of their size & staffing, Rodas Constriction LLC lack basic structure, organization, communication, discipline, order and quality. Forget about customer service. For example, I visited my house four times during the renovation process. I found windows fully "open", doors unlocked and the air conditioning or heaters on without anyone present. This led to leaks and moisture penetrating various parts of the house afterward. I communicated these issues to Rodas ownership every time without a favorable result. Nothing changed. In fact, Rodas ownership did not accept responsibility and continued their work. Although small, Rodas ownership is "unusually" arrogant and will never admit to wrongdoings, will never accept accountability and will never own they are being negligent. On top of the mismanagement, negligence, and disorganization, the most important problem was that Didier Enrique Rodas and his company, Rodas Construction LLC, failed to apply for and secure construction permits for the structural work as well as permits for plumbing, electrical and other work they had performed. They didn't get the permits to save money and to avoid to doing their work legally, appropriately, and effectively. This act of non-compliance is against all rules and regulations. And...once you pay Rodas Construction LLC in full, they will forever ignore and avoid your issues and requests. They certainly did for us. We still have several exposed drywall openings they had created and don't want to fix. Rodas Construction LLC is very small company with only a handful of employees. But with their VERY small size, they do have a Director of Marketing who amongst other soliciting activities, he manages social media work. Strange...right? For example, this marketing director will soon respond to this post with an elaborate list of excuses for having failed a client who had paid them in FULL. He is the person who responds to all of my complaints to Didier Enrique Rodas. This company will never accept accountability for its faults, wrongdoings and they will NEVER fix issues they had caused. I can write many pages on the issues I had faced with Rodas Construction LLC. Aforementioned remarks are high level insights so consumers are aware. BE EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS! I do take responsibility for trusting and selecting Rodas Construction LLC. I should have known better. I was desperate. But do your research, check multiple references and do NOT pay anyone especially the people until you are 100% certain about the quality of the work.

Their pricing was very competitive with excellent choice of materials, such as the gate latch/lock mechanism that they used. The crew was top notch when they came out and were able to complete the job on the same day so that we can enjoy the freedom of letting our dog out in peace. We did have a slight miscommunication with the crew on the direction of how we wanted the gate to swing, but thankfully Jay was willing to work with us and have the crew come back out to resolve that for us. Definitely recommending them to my friends and neighbors and will work with them again!

She advised that Mr. Frye was out of the office, but that he would be back shortly and would call me back at that time. Wednesday (11/9): Afternoon... Sent James a follow-up email explaining that I was ready to purchase the materials as soon as he got the quote over to me. ...no response Thursday (11/10): Called and spoke to Jennifer again, and she said that Mr. Frye was not at his desk, but he would call me back shortly. She also added that if he was unable to call back, she would call me back herself. ...no call-back from James or Jennifer. Friday (11/11): Morning...Called and spoke to Jennifer yet again. This time, Mr. Frye was on a conference call, and could not be bothered. She remembered that I had called several times before, and again said that if Mr. Frye could not get back to me, she would call me back herself. ...no call-back (big surprise) Friday (11/11): Afternoon...Called and spoke to Anne. She informed me that Mr. Frye was busy doing estimates and could not be bothered to take my call. After informing her that I needed the quote by day-end, she said that would not be possible as Mr. Frye was on his way to the beach (clearly lying about him doing estimates). At that point I asked her to inform Mr. Frye that he'd no longer need to bother himself with the quote, as I'd be seeking business elsewhere. Excuses and lies are all I got from this company. Disregarded calls and email follow-ups are a huge red flag.

They were responsive, letting us know when they would be delayed. The fence looks great and they are very punctual. When an issue arose with our neighbors, Dan (the owner) emailed my boyfriend to let him what happened. His crew came back the next day and finished up the work, no wait to be rescheduled. Also, when I deal with contractors I usually get emails that more resemble text speak from teenagers. So I appreciated that Dan's emails were professional and well-written.

We also got quotes from other companies who had done the fences of our neighbors and all of the quotes for very close in price. Big Jerry's had someone out quickly to do the measurements (we preferred this to the online measure) and they were very communicative. They were also very helpful with sketches and measurements for the HoA. In order to get on the schedule, one must pay a 60% deposit. The schedule was about two months out for us. Big Jerry's also takes care of calling 811 prior to the installation date. The 811 person came about three days before the fence install. In the end, we had about 510 feet of fencing . Nelson was the main crew leader and he was excellent and friendly. The install took three days to complete (with 2-3 people working each day); we also had some rocky terrain. I also appreciated that Nelson reviewed the property lines again before installation and we came across a two foot encroachment along ~100 feet that hadn't been picked up by anyone. Thankfully the house next door was still under construction and we were able to rectify the issue quickly. Our yard slopes and Nelson and his team did a great job with installing the fence with the grade. We had a handyman here doing other work who also commented on the solid install job. We went with the Bellhaven model (pictured). My only complaint is that after sending the balance the day the job was done, I got a past due email the very next day! I had expected to have a few days to confirm there were no issues with the job prior to paying the balance. Fortunately, there was no additional "late" charge. I highly recommend Nelson of the Big Jerry's crew to do your fence.
