Sometimes the egg sandwich has an English muffin and sometimes it's a croissant. I don't see a way to tell which by looking at the package. Today this egg sandwich is gross! Why is the egg discolored?! Did I poison myself? I might see this sandwich again...but I'm never buying another one.

FYI - If you get a salad from the cafeteria they charge .65 cents extra for the dressing. Why? It should come with your salad.

Each individual restaurants (there are 5 I believe) offer everything from Mexican food, to American fare like burgers, to fried chicken, salads, fish etc. I ordered from the fried chicken stall and my food was phenomenal! Freshly made to order, nothing staged or sitting under a heat lamp. The bartenders were awesome and cheery. My son was with us and even though there is alcohol served here all of the patrons were kind and polite. No drunken riff raff. The dining area is set up like cafeteria seating where you just grab a table anywhere and eat. There are waiters who will also bring food/drinks to you and collect your dishes after you are done. The restrooms were also clean and well maintained. This is a great family friendly place or if a group of friends wanna hang out have a few drinks and chat. There's food options for everyone here, so you're not stuck picking 1 restaurant where everyone in your group might not want to eat the same thing.. I will definitely be back!

I went there with a small group of families/kids after an outing at the Children's Museum; it was great to be able to walk over to an easy lunch that was better than the museum cafe. We'd probably come back just for this convenience. But I can also see how Federal Galley could have a sports bar feel when a Bucco or Steeler game is going on nearby. That said, the food was just ok. Portions were huge, but the dishes were kind of basic with a ton of sauciness/goopiness. My burrito from Mijo had a ton of chicken but not much in terms of beans and rice and no veggies or garnishes. My wife got a huevos rancheros bowl that just had mountains of sauce; it filled her up, made her very thirsty, and made a huge mess. The kids cheese burger and fries from Triple S was just fine for my daughter but, again, basic.

The focaccia was warmed, but definitely warmed way too long, it was like toast. Portion was also small. Not impressive, but not enough to leave a bad review over. Then came the pizza. It was literally so overcooked. The bottom was black. It tasted charred. Sometimes margarita pizza's crust is a little too cooked for me, but I expect that and just eat around it. This was entirely different, it was the whole thing, especially underneath! I don't know why they even sent it out, it felt borderline disrespectful to even serve this to someone. I don't know if it's because I paid the tab right away and left an 8% tip instead of a 20%? That felt appropriate given the way the service is here, it doesn't seem like 20% is necessary. Anyways, I'll post a photo of what we left behind. Went home to eat dinner instead. I did l eat the chunks of cheese off before I took the photo so ignore that part of the image. With how burnt this was I felt borderline offended that they'd even send this out.

They had live music, farm activities, and a lot of stuff for kids to see. There is a big slide area which my son loved. There is also a second slide behind the building where there is outdoor seating. It was a nice area that allowed parents to eat while the kids continued to play. We all split a bunch of the food options. We had the whole chicken, ribs, cabbage and noodles, Mac and cheese, and potato salad. Everything was delicious. You can tell it is all homemade. The ribs were my favorite. The meat was so tender, it fell off the bone. The bbq sauce was also delicious. The cabbage and noodles were also really good. Before leaving we got some of their ice cream. I had the chocolate peanut butter and it was amazing. It had so many peanut butter pieces and the chocolate flavor was perfect. We also took a gallon of their fresh chocolate milk to go, which did not last long at our house. Highly recommend stopping here, especially for those with kids.

It was a typical retro-vintage stop inside, and I was forewarned by the veteran waitress they were open only for the next half-hour. I reassured her I was not planning to stay long. It must've been the end of a long shift for her because she was grumbling to the busboy about the other waitress who decided to leave early. This other woman, clearly the 'Kiss Mah Grits' type, alienated me by calling me Mr. Miyagi and cackling about it to the rest of the staff. I thought I might be expected to recite lines from "The Karate Kid". Instead I ordered the $11.25 Grilled Meatloaf Melt, which came with quite a slice covered in fried onions and melted Swiss cheese barely held together by the toasted rye bread. Overall, the Lawrence Hall was beautiful beautifully put together. I love how opened it is, the multiple restaurants there's ice cream, a Sushi Spot, Tacos for taco Tuesday and also there's Cuddy's soul food. Also have a bar pretty nice size bar. LOVED our dinner at this place…read more We came here for dinner while visiting Pittsburgh. The first thing that struck me was the interior decor. Very industrial and moody with an open kitchen/preparation area that adds some intrigue. I do like to see the happenings of what's going on as someone with zero attention span. Service was excellent. George was fantastic. He kept a close eye on us without being overbearing. He anticipated what we might need so we didn't spend one second waiting to order anything. The menu is not endless or overwhelming which, presumably, allows them to focus on the items that are listed. I have decision panic so it was kinda nice to have less things to choose from. They asked if there were any allergies or dietary restrictions so I mentioned my vegetarianism. George went through the menu and pointed out the vegetarian options including what seems like it is vegetarian but isn't. They had TWO vegetarian entree options and fortunately the non-mushroom one was something I probably would have ordered anyway: pesto with walnuts, arugula, and a very generous amount of grated cheese. To start, I ordered the Brussels sprouts whichc I was warned had fish sauce. This was fine but nothing that blew me away. GF, on the other hand, loved this. GF ordered the wedge which was brought to our attention as vegetarian with the bacon on the side, which was her request. We ended up sharing both, a large part of that was because hers came out first and I couldn't wait but I'm so glad because the wege was FANTASTIC. The dressing? holy fuck pure ecastasy. The wedge was more like a filet shape which was much easier to eat. Who decided on the wedge shape anyway? The lettuce was so fresh and crisp and went wonderfully with that orgasmic dressing and breadcrumbs. Back to my pasta. Also delectable. Noodles were al dente. The sauce was creamy and packed that pesto umami flavor. The walnuts were a really nice contrast in texture. Everything about it absolutely fucking slapped. GF ordered the mushroom entree which came served on a bed of barley which, don't mind if I do, had a few forkfuls to "sample" for "my review". Again, so fucking good. Because it was my birthday, George provided a dessert (yuzu maybe?) that was served inside a meringue-esque igloo, creamy perfect balance of sweet and tart custard with some berry business underneath. Wonderful. I almost forgot their spectacular cocktails! Holy shit, literally they have a CORN CHIP cocktail that I could not pass up. It comes with two massive cornchips on top of a flavored foam. When you bring the glass up to sip, the cornchips are right in front of your nose and their aroma sets the stage for the drink which was STRONG. It wasn't as corn chip forward as I expected but I understand that flavor is probaly hard to create. For my second drink, I ordered the blue one which was refreshing, light, and really good. GF ordered a spritz which was gorgeous "it was good". For second round, I picked out some uranium thing that was very cucumbery, GF says, "it was good". I just read it outloud to her. "it's true!" Fantastic meal at a great place.
