    Traditional Lamb Gyro
    Melissa T.

I was in McMurray and decided to stop to check this place out. I got the traditional lamb gyro extra tzatziki sauce and a side of fries. The ladies behind the counter were very nice and personable. The place definitely seems to have a constant stream of customers. My gyro was packed!!! Lots of flavorful meat and veg. Pita was warm and delicious. The fries were hot and ready, they reminded a lot like the fries you get at fairs which who doesn't love fair fries. What's pretty cool is they have an outside seated area that is surrounded by tall pines and makes you forget that you're next to a pretty busy road in McMurray. I did see a lot of people walking off of the Montour Trail (please correct me if I'm wrong). Totally gonna have to try that some time!

We had a good experience here. My mom and I took advantage of the beautiful December weather to take a walk on the Montour trail. Knowing that Parea Gyros is right along the trail we planned our walk accordingly so we could treat ourselves when we got done. We both ordered the traditional gyro salad. I was very happy with how big the portion was. My mom was responsible and had some leftovers to take home, but I ate the whole thing. The salad was really good, it came with dressing and tzatziki sauce, and the pita was warm. We really like that there's a terrace where you can eat outside right by the trail.

Was here a few weeks ago. I stumbled in, parched from a sweaty 20k run that was not going well. I needed a cold drink. Unfortunately, when I tried to pay I realized I only had my ID. Long story short, the girl was kind to give me the drink. Of course I didn't forget. I just came back to buy another Gatorade, and discovered this is a gyro shop. Listen, I was barely coherent that day, I thought I was going to die of a heat stroke or something. Anyhow, I came after my run and discovering that they sell food was an added bonus. Of course I got food, have you met me?! Lol. The service is fantastic. Thankfully, the girl who gave me the drink (Halley) was there last week, so I was able to thank her again. One of the other customers noted how happy and full of energy she is, I completely agree. It makes the whole experience much more memorable. The other worker, Tessa (?), took the time to prepare my meal while her teammate took the orders. The food was delicious. I got the lamb platter (lamb, pita, hummus, salad, fries). So good. It definitely did the job when I was in need of something to fuel my body after a long run. I came back again today to get a drink in the middle of my run. So thankful for this place! If you are ever in need of friendly staff, hydration, or good geod, definitely consider checking this place out!

    Grilled Chicken Salad

The grilled chicken salad is very filling and delicious. Even though it is pretty pricey, the chicken was cooked properly and they give you two different dressings and pita. I will be back again.

So I've given this place a chance before, but it was a complete flop. We walked in to order and the employees told us they were done taking orders for the night. It was 7:20 and their sign said they closed at 8. They claimed they didn't have enough product, which I didn't understand, so we just left. I decided to retry it down the road, which was a HUGE mistake. So I walked in and one of the employees took my order. While ordering I noticed one employee had a gator mask wrapped around their neck, which is the worst mask you can wear. I saw another employee, who was supposedly the manager, did not have a mask on and did not have gloves on. Another had a mask, but removed it while on the line making food to vape. Also, there was someone on the cash register, taking phone calls, and cooking on the line, and didn't change her gloves once. While making an order and vaping, the employee just put the vape back in his pocket, didn't wash his hands and didn't change his gloves. There was a couple in front of me waiting for their order and they felt so uncomfortable, as they should, they said they didn't feel comfortable eating there and wanted their money back because of the lack of care and hygiene. The worst part about this was when the manager came over to give them their money back, she says "yeah we really not big on wearing masks here, but please come back and see us when this is over". After I heard this I assumed they were doing more than vaping on the job. Whatever you do please do not go here, for the safety of you and everyone else. If this is what we see as customers, what are they doing when no one is around. Do they use gloves? Are they clean? Are their products fresh and kept at appropriate temperatures? My guess is no, I would trust a gyro from the dollar store before I trust them. Please take my word for it.

My kids and I checked this place out today. It's a quaint spot with friendly employees that I thoroughly enjoyed. We each had a gyro and fries. My goodness were they amazing!!!! And huge! I can honestly say that it was the best I've had in over a decade! The meat was hot and juicy and flavorful and all of the toppings were SO fresh! The perfect finish was the Baklava cheesecake, it's to die for. Try this place out and you won't be disappointed. Keep up the good work Parea! I will definitely be coming back and telling all my friends and family about my great dining experience today!

First time here. Just finished a 4 mile walk. This place is tempting when it's along the trail in Peters Township. We stopped and was greeted with two friendly faces. Shared a chicken gyro. They provided us napkins. Meal was cheap for a gyro. It was very good. Hit the spot. You're able to BYOB if you're 21 years old. I will be back. Cute small quaint place.

$50 for just 3 average gyros. Totally insane. On top of that, they aren't even nice to you.

Friendly people. Prices are a bit high. Food used to be a lot better but still okay. Not a bad stop on the Montour trail.

But once you step inside, you feel it -- you know there is care here. And once the food arrives, there is absolutely no doubt about it: this place is something special. We started with the appetizer platter, and I can say without hesitation that it was one of the best I've ever had. The grape leaves were perfection -- tender, delicate, and layered with flavor. No bitterness, no heaviness, just beautifully seasoned, comforting bites that tasted like they were made with tradition and love. Then came the falafel, which truly shocked me. I've never been a huge fan of falafel because it's usually dry, dense, and in desperate need of drowning in sauce just to get it down. Not here. These were moist, tender, and overflowing with flavor. Honestly -- the best falafel I have ever had. The entire platter was so fresh, so vibrant, and so alive that my entire family kept going back for "just one more bite"... and then one more again. Next up were the pita wraps, and my gyro was an absolute work of art. Overflowing with perfectly seasoned meat and tucked into soft, warm pita, it was generously filled to the brim -- no skimping here. It makes perfect sense why they charge a small sharing fee because one could easily be split between two people. That said, I strongly recommend getting your own... and then taking half home for later (if you have the willpower). My sister ordered the sleek with shrimp, and WOW. I'm typically not a fan of sautéed greens -- it's usually a texture thing for me -- but this completely changed my mind. The shrimp were tender and perfectly cooked, and the greens were flavorful, balanced, and beautifully seasoned. Even as a self-proclaimed non-fan, I was blown away. One of the most memorable parts of the experience was the heart behind the counter. The ladies in the kitchen were clearly cooking with love and pride. You can taste the tradition in every bite. Our server was a bit quiet at first, but she quickly warmed up, became very helpful, and offered a recommendation that turned out to be one of the highlights of the entire meal: the seasonal Pumpkin Mamonia. Now let me explain what mamonia is for those who don't know -- because this dessert deserves its moment. Mamonia is a traditional Middle Eastern dessert, similar to a semolina pudding. It's warm, creamy, gently sweet, and infused with spices and aromatic notes like cinnamon and nutmeg. The pumpkin version at Sittay's takes this already-comforting dish and turns it into a fall masterpiece -- velvety, lightly spiced, and incredibly comforting without being overly sweet. It was, in my book, a home run... or the Mediterranean equivalent of one. Unique, cozy, elegant, and absolutely unforgettable. If it's on the menu, do not skip it. As for the baklava, the flavor was tremendous. For anyone unfamiliar, baklava is made of delicate layers of flaky phyllo dough, filled with chopped nuts (often pistachios or walnuts), then finished with a fragrant honey or sugar syrup. It's crisp on top, sticky-sweet inside, and the perfect finale to a Mediterranean meal. My only small surprise was the portion size; for $7, the piece felt a bit smaller compared to how generous everything else was throughout the lunch. That said, the seasonal baklava was divine in flavor -- rich, fragrant, and beautifully made. At the moment, Sittay's does not offer cocktails or wine. There is a tap house next door, but beer wasn't what appealed to my family that day. A simple white wine -- perhaps a Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc -- would be a lovely addition and a perfect complement to their vibrant Mediterranean dishes, especially for indulgent holiday lunches with family. All in all, Sittay's is a hidden gem in Greensburg -- one of those rare places where the food, the heart, and the hospitality come together effortlessly. Make the trip. Take the time. Try something new at Sittay's. You will NOT be sorry.
