Baked Bibbee, Fattoush, Red Pepper Hummus with fresh pita
    Julie R.

We stopped at this small and quaint place for lunch. We shared a few Lebanese specialties - red pepper hummus, fattoush salad, and baked bibbee. Our waitress was attentive and helpful and brought our food out relatively quickly. We enjoyed all three immensely. The fresh fattoush salad had a delightful sumac dressing and crunchy pita pieces. The hummus was well balanced and flavored. The bibbee was hearty with a unique sweet and savory taste.

    Moussaka

Shouf's has always been a go-to option for my family. This was my first dine-in experience and I felt right at home. Parking was easy and didn't have to wait at all for a 5pm table on a Saturday, but it certainly got busy shortly thereafter, and I can understand why - I don't remember our waitress's name, but she made it seem like we were family! I ordered the moussaka - I've never had it before anywhere else, so I don't have much to compare it to, but it was very rich, filling, and flavorful. We waited a while for our food but didn't have a problem making the delicious plate of baba gannoush and pita disappear in front of us.

    Lamb shank, me to thank.

Outstanding and authentic food. Love the Lebanese salad. All of their sauces (Tahini, house red sauce, etc.) are distinctive and delicious. Try the lamb shank or really anything on the menu, you can't go wrong. Mint ice tea is legit good. The staff is extraordinarily kind and friendly. A Bridgeville treasure.

First time here. Our food was great. There are lots of vegetarian options. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous.

My husband and I ate one lunch here. Indoor and covered outdoor seating was available. The employees promptly greeted and seated us, and I appreciated that they recommended specific menu items to help me choose. After a reasonable wait, the foods were brought to our table. Here are my ratings for what we ordered: Grilled Shrimp - 5 stars - Several large, juicy shrimp were on skewers and had been perfectly cooked. Sides were mixed vegetables and a mix of rice and bulgur. Chicken Shish Kebab - 4 stars - The chunks of chicken were large and juicy and had a mild seasoning. On the side was rice pilav. Turkish Tea - 4.5 stars - This black tea was a good size and was served hot. Packets of sweeteners were available. The total price was $55 plus tax and tip.

Falafel appetizer was very, very hard and chewy. Even with a serrated knife it was difficult to cut! Shepherd Salad was fresh but was mostly red and green bell peppers. Very little tomato or cucumber or onion which I was expecting. Not their fault but mine for not knowing about this salad. Again they were super nice and offered to take it back. Donor Kebab was over cooked. Dry. Chewy. Tzatziki sauce was fine. I ordered two extra mini-cups of tzatziki to help me finish the donor kebab. (Extra $1). Bread was very good. I ordered the Turkish Tea but it never came : (

Their menu is extensive and for me specifically it is the most amazing joy to have vegetarian option after option when so many other places are limited for me. I have made a meal out of the vegetarian combo platter before, which is an appetizer platter perfect for splitting between two people. Tonight we did exactly that and everything is evenly portioned for two which is so nice, nobody getting more of one thing than another. It has grape leaves, baba ghanoush, hummus, falafel and tabouli. Perfect combo of flavors and comes with pita for dipping or piling it all on. Our absolutely lovely server also offered some hot sauce which seemed to be homemade and, although I am not a big hot anything person, smelled delicious. Along with other platters, rolled pitas and salads, they have a long list of pita pizzas which I had never previously tried so we decided to go with one of those to split. We got one with garlic butter, roasted spinach, banana peppers, tomatoes and feta and it was a very good choice. The pita itself had a somewhat smoky flavor from the char and I liked how that was thin and kept the focus on the plentiful toppings. They also have some fantastic desserts here. Just look at the case and you will be convinced. There were a couple of chocolate cakes that looked delicious but we went for the carrot cake and it was fantastic with visible pieces of carrot and walnuts. We were very full and thinking about skipping dessert but splitting this was worth it. There is ample inside seating, just a simple no-frills environment but comfortable, and during the summer they set up a few tables outside on Washington Road which I have enjoyed eating at before. Overall this is an extremely solid Mediterranean spot, and I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered here. Pro tip: if you can't find a spot at the meters on Washington or the nearby side streets, the public parking garage across the street isn't as expensive as you would think, about $2.50 for up to two hours and a flat rate of $2 evenings after 6 p.m.

However, they were also out of a lot of items when I ordered from them. I ended up trying the baklava and chicken platter with rice and garlic sauce. The chicken was delicious. Warm when I picked it up. It has a nice bit of spice coating it too. Very flavorful, and super tender, not too dry either. The rice that came with it was soft and not overly buttery, which I quite like. The garlic sauce was very tasty and went nicely with the chicken. Has real garlic flavor and the perfect hint of creaminess. The baklava was pretty standard. I was originally hoping to try the namoura or rice pudding but they did not make them at the time I went. Baklava was alright, crunchy, but I would have preferred it to be a bit sweeter and with more syrup. All in all, a nice little food truck serving fresh, homemade, and healthy Mediterranean food. It's simple food, but it's definitely done well here.
