This little family owned and operated spot serves absolutely perfect food. The last two times we dined here, we ordered the exact same thing, and our server (the owners' daughter--who is so great and efficient, working the whole front of house by herself) remembered us and our order. Falafel sandwich--delicious, crispy, perfect falafel, but I order it as much for the homemade pickles and turnips in there as I do for the falafel. The thing is huge, by the way. Two people could share it but I never do. Chicken shawarma is also great. The house salad is fresh and cold and loaded with finely grated feta--I forgot to take a pic before we shoved it in our faces. A small one is plenty to share. You're going to be full--the portions are plentiful, but don't sleep on the rice pudding anyway. Suck it up--you don't find subtly sweet rice pudding like this every day, lightly touched with orange blossom water and rose water. Just go for it; let them shake some cinnamon on there for you and get to it. Next time, I'm ordering the mujadarra. I saw it come out of the kitchen today and it looked amazing, topped with tons of frizzled onions. Two diners next to us had the lamb shank and I watched them both pull out the perfectly clean bone. And finally, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the iced mint tea, because I literally went to Kabob-G tonight because I was in the mood for that tea. Icy cold, not *too* strongly minty, and perfectly refreshing, it's a nice complement to a terrific meal. Never had a bad experience here. read more

The grape leaves here are my comfort food. Just like my nana made me before she passed. The hummus and baba ghanoush are so good! Very vegetarian friendly with vegan accommodation. My other favorite thing is the falafel sandwich. My husband and I eat here once a month, sometimes we get extra pita to take home. The owner works directly in the kitchen with his wife and you can tell he takes a great deal of pride in the place. It's a small place, with a lot of heart. One of our favorite restaurants. It is casual and BYOB. However, during the last year we have only had take out. Miss eating in the restaurant with friends and talking with the waitress. We sometimes get the Mezza plater and just take it home to enjoy or when we have some friends over for a casual happy hour. Recently called to see what the specials were and ordered the lamb chops. Kabob-G didn't disappoint! The restaurant is rather small, but there weren't too many people dining-in during my visit. However, during the hour or so I was there, they probably got about 6 takeout orders. If you like baba, you've got to get it here. It's so smooth and creamy, I absolutely love it. Had not even considered this little place on Willow Ave., but my friend suggested it because we were looking for something casual. It's also BYOB so the bill is pretty reasonable. The kitchen offers familiar Lebanese dishes on an extensive menu. We went for the hummus and baba ghannouj - great smoky flavor. The waitress was friendly and helped with decisions. I stopped by here for lunch at this nice small cozy restaurant. I was first pleasantly surprised when my iced tea was delivered and it was not just normal iced tea but was flavored with mint, which gave made it much more flavorful than regular iced tea. It's a good sign when a restaurant pays attention to small details like their iced tea. This was a very quiet Tuesday in December but there were several other tables filled, indicating this restaurant has a following. The waitress was very friendly and service was good. I got the falafel sandwich. It came burrito style with the pita bread wrapped around the falafel and other ingredients. It was very flavorful and I'd order it again.
