One of my favorite places to eat at. The food is top tier and very authentic. You can literally see the owners making your food back in the kitchen and they are so kind and welcoming. Kabob-G's has a very comforting and nostalgic feel when you walk in there. read more

I have never had a bad dining experience there! Great food. Friendly service. Even great for takeout.

Great food and service! Lamb chops are excellent! Love the the rice and the best grape leaves around!

This little family owned and operated spot serves absolutely perfect food. The last two times we dined here, we ordered the exact same thing, and our server (the owners' daughter--who is so great and efficient, working the whole front of house by herself) remembered us and our order. Falafel sandwich--delicious, crispy, perfect falafel, but I order it as much for the homemade pickles and turnips in there as I do for the falafel. The thing is huge, by the way. Two people could share it but I never do. Chicken shawarma is also great. The house salad is fresh and cold and loaded with finely grated feta--I forgot to take a pic before we shoved it in our faces. A small one is plenty to share. You're going to be full--the portions are plentiful, but don't sleep on the rice pudding anyway. Suck it up--you don't find subtly sweet rice pudding like this every day, lightly touched with orange blossom water and rose water. Just go for it; let them shake some cinnamon on there for you and get to it. Next time, I'm ordering the mujadarra. I saw it come out of the kitchen today and it looked amazing, topped with tons of frizzled onions. Two diners next to us had the lamb shank and I watched them both pull out the perfectly clean bone. And finally, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the iced mint tea, because I literally went to Kabob-G tonight because I was in the mood for that tea. Icy cold, not *too* strongly minty, and perfectly refreshing, it's a nice complement to a terrific meal. Never had a bad experience here. read more

always order our mid eastern food from kabob-g, always wonderful. love the veal shank, grape leaves, salad and hummus. the family, as owners, are very nice. They work hard and serve really good food. read more

The grape leaves here are my comfort food. Just like my nana made me before she passed. The hummus and baba ghanoush are so good! Very vegetarian friendly with vegan accommodation. My other favorite thing is the falafel sandwich. My husband and I eat here once a month, sometimes we get extra pita to take home. The owner works directly in the kitchen with his wife and you can tell he takes a great deal of pride in the place. It's a small place, with a lot of heart. Best middle eastern cuisine I ever had since the last time I stayed with my nana and baba. read more

The Food is fabulous! Service is great! Just like my grandmother's kitchen! Love them like family!

This place is fantastic! We only ever get takeout, but it is a special treat and my wife lights up whenever I mention the place. We personally love the Fattoush salads, and their unbelievably delicious baba ganoush. Family owned by great people. Check it out. read more

One of my favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh and one of the most consistent dining experiences from visit to visit. No one does lamb better than Kabon-G. What an awesome hidden gem! read more

The shawarma was excellent and the meat was seasoned very well. The owner was quick to give us menus and brought out our food with no delay once we ordered. The decor in the restaurant could use a little work, but the food made us hardly notice it. read more

Kabob-G has been in our regular rotation for years. We tend to order moussaka, steak shawarma, stuffed grape leaves and hummus, and all are dependably delicious each and every time. Other menu items have been equally good, but we are hooked on our usuals! This is a family-run restaurant with great comfort food! read more

About as authentic as you can get in the South Hills. Family owned and operated - Kabob is sure to knock your socks off. Tiny restaurant, which accepts reservations - BYOB. Large portions, flavorful food, and reasonable prices make this place a real hidden secret. The parking is behind the building - the T runs directly in front of the restaurant. read more

The food is outstanding but the staff is incredible. Family restaurant that makes really great Mediterranean food. I always welcome here.

Hidden away on a small backstreet in Castle Shannon is this Gem of a Restaurant! We dined there last Saturday to some of the most amazing Middle Eastern Food. This is a small space with maybe 8-10 tables so make a reservation or go early. The menu is full of delicious options and the serving sizes are large. VERY! Don't pass on the hummus (the best we have ever eaten) and be sure to get the salad. You can't go wrong on any selections. This is a BYOB so enjoy your favorite beverage...... read more

One of our favorite restaurants. It is casual and BYOB. However, during the last year we have only had take out. Miss eating in the restaurant with friends and talking with the waitress. We sometimes get the Mezza plater and just take it home to enjoy or when we have some friends over for a casual happy hour. Recently called to see what the specials were and ordered the lamb chops. The chops were cooked perfectly, very tasty and came on a bed of rice. We also ordered the Shawarma which is one of our favorites. Oh boy, we enjoyed our meal. Actually, we had enough to save half and have another meal. read more

I've heard such great things about Kabob-G-Grill, not only from Yelp reviews, but also from people from around the area. Therefore, I've really been wanting to try the food here. Kabob-G didn't disappoint! The restaurant is rather small, but there weren't too many people dining-in during my visit. However, during the hour or so I was there, they probably got about 6 takeout orders. If you like baba, you've got to get it here. It's so smooth and creamy, I absolutely love it. The shawarma platters are also pretty good, both the chicken and steak. Perhaps the best part about the restaurant is the service, which was friendly and very quick. When our Mediterranean craving strikes, this is our go-to. read more

Little family owned Mediterranean/Lebanese joint...and the best of its kind in the area! Lamb chops to die for, tender lamb shank just falls off the bone. Had not even considered this little place on Willow Ave., but my friend suggested it because we were looking for something casual. It's also BYOB so the bill is pretty reasonable. The kitchen offers familiar Lebanese dishes on an extensive menu. We went for the hummus and baba ghannouj - great smoky flavor. The waitress was friendly and helped with decisions. Besides kabobs we ordered salad and sleek. All food was made fresh and was delicious. I especially recommend the sleek which is perfectly sautéed with sweet onions. I stopped by here for lunch at this nice small cozy restaurant. I was first pleasantly surprised when my iced tea was delivered and it was not just normal iced tea but was flavored with mint, which gave made it much more flavorful than regular iced tea. It's a good sign when a restaurant pays attention to small details like their iced tea. This was a very quiet Tuesday in December but there were several other tables filled, indicating this restaurant has a following. The waitress was very friendly and service was good. I got the falafel sandwich. It came burrito style with the pita bread wrapped around the falafel and other ingredients. It was very flavorful and I'd order it again. This is definitely a nice local neighborhood restaurant I'd like to visit again. read more

Wow, what a gem! Family owned and friendly. Careful, the portions are LARGE. Had the mezza platter with baba, hummus, taboulie, pickles, and feta. All excellent. Also had the felafel. WOW! Flavorful and light. Some of the best we've had! Barely had enough room for my kafta platter, whoxh was also excellent. And then the owner brought out baklava for a free dessert!! Super good and fresh all around. Oh, and the salad dressing is killer too! Chris read more

we love this place! it was so hard not being able to eat there, take out is just not the same! the food always tastes better in person! so when we were able to eat there again, we were thrilled! welcome back my friends! we say we're going to try something different, but we always get the same thing-the lamb chop dinner with salad with cheese & rice pilaf. they are some of the best lamb chops we've had. the salad is covered in a mountain of freshly planed feta cheese & a creamy dressing that, all i can say is garlicky, but garlicky deliciousness! the pilaf is so perfect. the tomato sauce filled with some amazing spices, is great with all of it! pour it on top of all of it! give them a try if you're over this way! byob baby! read more

Hooooleee molee! We got a ton of takeout here tonight - our first visit. Everything was fresh and delicious, beautifully packed up, and did I mention delicious? The mezze platter, salads, kabobs, so good. There's enough left for an entire other meal and we ate a lot. Kudos to this small family-owned place, we will return soon. read more

Eat here! Good, now that I've got your attention, this restaurant is wonderful. It's a small family owned restaurant that serves authentic Lebanese food. I took a group of 8 here, and everyone left happy. Highlights were: 1. Hummus 2. Baba ganoush - some of the best I've ever had 3. Chicken shawarma 4. Kufta 5. Baklava 6. Rice pudding - best I've had. Tastes like there is rose water in it! Lastly, the couple that runs the shop is incredibly friendly. I love supporting local restaurants, especially ones with such wonderful staff. read more

I returned to Kabob G today for takeout this time. My food was ready in 15 minutes. It was hot and just as good as when we ate at the restaurant. I give a 5/5 rating for the delicious and flavorful food which I will be enjoying again in the future! Especially the mezza platter which includes all my faves including tabbouleh, hummus and babaganoush! I maintain a 4/5 for the overall rating because of the decor.
