The are the best / legit shawarmas around! It's a fast-casual spot and the food is made to order. The store now has a wine bar featuring a large variety of wines from their vendor, alongside a delicious new mezze menu.

Stopped by while walking around Lawrenceville and needed something to eat fast. The chicken shawarma was so flavorful from the seasoning of the chicken, the garlic sauce, and the tangy pickles. There was just one guy working, and he was very nice and helpful in my decision of what to get. It's a very small spot with not a lot of seating, so definitely best for a quick in and out bite. Apparently they have a tapas and wine bar in the evenings, so I would definitely want to come back to check that out.

I ordered Pita My Shawarma and had it delivered so I definitely want to try this place again in person. Based on what I ordered and what I received, I think it's slightly overpriced but I'm wondering if it's different in person. I ordered the chicken and rice bowl and it was $16. Fine, but it was a very small container and the portion was definitely on the small size. Almost $10 for a cup of fries was a bit much to me too. Overall, the food was pretty good. It was cold but that's because of delivery. So like I said, I want to try again in person because I'm hoping I'll have a better experience.

Everything was very delicious! Service was quick and the meal was very filling. Would definitely go back!

If I could give this place negative stars I would. It was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had!!! The service was terrible. The young man at the counter was extremely rude and clearly didn't care about customer service. The food was not good either. I had a chicken shawarma salad that had very little chicken and the bacon was so hard you couldn't chew it. The shawarma wrap was very dry and not good either. I definitely don't recommend.

You can definitely tell that this food is good for you! Very fresh and makes you feel good when you eat it. Showed up at my door and couldn't wait to dig in thanks to insider eats!

This place looks cute but I was pretty disappointed. There was no AC inside on a super hot summer day. Everyone says it's expensive here and it is for a basic chicken pita wrap since it ended up being $14 for just chicken and lettuce in a pita. I am low fodmap and the food here isn't really that low fodmap friendly. I had the garlic sauce on the side that I didn't end up using. Inside the stale wrap was chicken and lettuce. It had little to no flavor and the chicken was not what you normally get at Shawarma spots I've been to in NYC. It felt more like grilled chicken. It didn't feel like the pita was heated up either, the whole wrap was kind of cold. Definitely have had better shawarma from a cart on the street.

You walk in and immediately smell deliciousness and can see meat on a spit being made at Pittsburgh's most authentic shawarma. Pita My Shawarma located in Lawrenceville, serving up Lebanese street food, falafel, Halloumi fries, hummus and more. Started as a food truck and has evolved into that plus a storefront. Absolutely incredible food. They have some seating indoors, some outdoors, offer pickup and are available on food delivery services as well. Super clean space, very friendly staff and you can watch them make your meal as the kitchen is exposed. Tried their hummus dip and pita which is fresh homemade hummus with two loaves of fresh pita bread- may be one of the best homemade hummuses I have had! The Chicken Shawarma & Rice is a fresh, hand stacked, & rotisserie shaven chicken over Lebanese rice with fresh veggies and a garlic sauce. This was delicious and the portion was a decent size (I had leftovers)! Had to taste their hand-cut Zaaatar fries- wow were these good. Hand cut fries with sesame, thyme seasoning and kosher salt with a side of ketchup and aioli to dip! Couldn't leave without tasting their Baklava- with an order you get two pieces of this sweet dessert made with filo dough, walnuts, simple syrup and pistachio crumbles. I am jumping on the bandwagon, Shawarma Is Life!!!

Food was super bland. I got the chicken and hummus and it was not great. The food had no seasoning and it didn't taste like anything. Service was also not great. Definitely not worth the price either. I got a combo and it was almost 30 dollars for a small portion of essentially hummus topped with a quarter cup of veggies and a few pieces of chicken. On a positive note the outside of the restaurant is cute and the pita was good. I definitely won't come back.

This was my first time trying this restaurant. I'm a big fan of shawarmas in general and had heard from some of my friends that this was a spot worth investigating. So like the food detective I am, I decided to stop by on one of my walks and take it home with me to properly savor it. I was not disappointed. The first bite let me know everything I needed to know. Pairing it with extra garlic sauce was a great decision that I recommend. You can tell the chicken is fresh and spiced very well. I know it's a small thing, but I also appreciate how they heat up the pita bread before assembling the shawarma. It's a small detail but I think it adds a lot of value. This is definitely a spot worth stopping in and grabbing a shawarma to go. I wouldn't say I was particularly inclined to sit in the restaurant. In my opinion, this is a more grab and go type of establishment. Nonetheless, I think it's a restaurant worth trying if you haven't already. 4/5

Easily the best, THE best shawarma fries I have ever had. The guy at the counter was chill and made the food fast. I could talk about these fries for days. The seasoning, the hummus, the chicken, absolutely phenomenal. Top notch in every field imaginable. Great drinks too. I personally got Mexican coke, but they have a wide variety of other stuff.

Ordered to-go food from here last week. Everything was quick and so, so fresh! I got a salad, hummus and the baba ganoush. Love that the pita they serve is from a local business also!

Falafel Wrap, fries, and Baklava

We just had a chicken shawarma and a falafel at Pita My Shawarma. The owner was very friendly and the food was delicious. I had the falafel, which was fresh and tasty. I love the Pittsburgh twist of fresh crunchy pickles in the falafel. I heard that the chicken shawarma was good too. The fries were good too. But the best part of the meal was baklava. It was crunchy with a tinge of sweetness.

This restaurant is located right on E Carson St in the South side. Whenever we entered the restaurant at shortly before noon, we were the only patrons there. As you would expect then we were promptly greeted and given our choice of tables. The inside of this restaurant had a number of tables, murals on the exposed brick wall, a bar and then a display case for some of their baked goods. For lunch on this day I decided to go with the moussaka while my wife went with the falafel sandwich. Since I had ordered an entree, I got a salad while my wife did not and that came out first. It consisted of some heavily dressed lettuce and then a couple of slices of both tomatoes and cucumbers. The dressing had a slight mint flavor which I enjoyed and was refreshing on the salad. I also enjoyed how heavily dressed it was but can imagine others who would not. Once I had finished with the salad the rest of our food came out. My moussaka ended up being decent and I really enjoyed the bechamel on the top. Then while I liked both the meat and eggplant, I wish that there had been a bit of a thicker layer of each as most of the moussaka ended up being bechamel and potato. My wife enjoyed her falafel pita with her favorite part being the crunchy falafel. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. It has been a long time since I have had moussaka and so it definitely hit the spot for me and I would be interested in trying more of their food in the future.

It's got a nice location on the central road in Squirrel Hill, but it's a bit hard to find parking. When I got there, I got to try their shish tawouk (chicken kabob), mujadara, salad with feta, and iced mint tea. The tea was pretty alright. Refreshing and a nice mint flavor; I think they might make the blend in house. They also brought out some nice pita before we started the meal. For my main course, I ordered the shish tawouk. You usually get this meal with the rice pilaf, but they were out, so I got to try the mujadara. I'm actually quite glad! The chicken was tender, and the portion was very fair. They served it with a nice tomato sauce, but I also asked for some garlic sauce on the side. The sauces both seem to be homemade, and definitely go well with the chicken. The mujadara was surprisingly delicious. They top the dish with crispy sweet onions. It's a mix of lentils and some other grain. Very good! One thing to mention generally is this place closes quite early, usually around 8 or 8:30 PM, so do keep it in mind. It is also very clearly a family endeavor, with the mom managing most of the tables and the kids always helping out. Very nice place!

The employees promptly greeted and seated us, and I appreciated that they recommended specific menu items to help me choose. After a reasonable wait, the foods were brought to our table. Here are my ratings for what we ordered: Grilled Shrimp - 5 stars - Several large, juicy shrimp were on skewers and had been perfectly cooked. Sides were mixed vegetables and a mix of rice and bulgur. Chicken Shish Kebab - 4 stars - The chunks of chicken were large and juicy and had a mild seasoning. On the side was rice pilav.
