Lawrence Hall is a food hall that contains the restaurants Kazoku Sushi, La Palapa, Loaded, Cuddy's Soul Food, and Scoops & Cones and the bar Dear James. The food hall is uniquely inside a repurposed warehouse from the 1890s. My husband and I were customers here one time. We could order either from a QR code on our table or from the individual restaurants' counters. We ate vegetable spring rolls (4 stars) from Kazoku Sushi; a smashburger and fries (4 stars) and a bacon-ranch corn dog (3.5 stars) from Loaded; and a sweet-potato pie (3 stars) from Cuddy's. All of the employees spoke very nicely with us, and we did not have long waits for our foods. A free water station was available to use. Plenty of self-serve seating was available in the two-story building. I recommend Lawrence Hall to people who want to support local businesses and try a variety of foods.

Stopped here for lunch on a Friday afternoon while in the area for shopping and running around. What brought us here was the search for a sushi place in the Lawrenceville area. This is a cool concept: several food options, a bar, and community cafeteria seating which allows you to order via QR code from all places and staff serves the food and drinks. Staff was nice and friendly, as well as informative.

Pretty empty food hall with occasional events and deals for the weekdays, including Taco Tuesdays. There's a lot of tables upstairs and downstairs. You have the option of ordering from a table via QR code or go directly to the restaurant booths and ordering there. They also have some classic arcade games and pinball machines upstairs. It's a very self-service vibe with napkins, water jugs, water cups, and utensils available at certain stations.

Stopped in after the Lawrenceville cookie walk! it's a dining hall concept so lots of choices. We went with "loaded" and got the smash burger and a bacon ranch Korean corn dog to split. Food took a bit to come out, but once it did everything was incredible, hot, fresh and delicious!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Lawrence Hall! We were there on a Friday, sat at the bar, drank, ate, and watched some sports. We ordered several drinks...the bartenders were amazing! We then ordered from Kazoku, Loaded, La Playa, and Scoops and Cones. Our favorite was the Korean corn dog by far. The atmosphere was so laidback but everyone seemed to have a great time. We loved the decor and the garbage stations and bathrooms.

I stumbled in here after a failed attempt at trying to watch a dodgeball game across the street. I ended up at the sushi vendor and got shrimp dumplings. It was $7 for a plate full. The service was quick and I even enjoyed a beer at the bar. I'm gonna have to come back for happy hour. I also loved that they had live music. It almost feels like it's not Lawrenceville.

We came through on a Monday evening to grab $.75 wings at Cuddy's. Come to it there was trivial night at the Lawrence Hall. When I said packed, it was packed. Apparently trivia night is every first and third Monday every month. It really look like they was having a good time. They downstairs and upstairs were packed with people, however onto the food. We went and got the $.75 whole wings from Cuddy's. Ended up taking them to go due to how crowded it was inside when. Wings at Cuddy's were delicious, so crispy and so flavorful, cooked to perfection. We got the Cajun seasoning, which was very good. There were multiple options to choose from when it came to sauces and dry seasonings for the wings. Overall, the Lawrence Hall was beautiful beautifully put together. I love how opened it is, the multiple restaurants there's ice cream, a Sushi Spot, Tacos for taco Tuesday and also there's Cuddy's soul food. Also have a bar pretty nice size bar. We will be back again next Monday to enjoy the wonderful wings.

Great experience at Lawrence Hall! We went on a Saturday afternoon for brunch. I started with a mimosa and my husband tried a Bloody Mary. My only disappointment was that only one kitchen offered brunch, so I ended up getting lunch instead. I enjoyed 2 tacos from La Palapa & my husband and I split a Korean corn dog from Loaded, and my husband had a burger from Loaded. All of the food was incredible! The server that was working the floor was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. All of the food came out pretty fast. It's a family friendly spot with high chairs and stroller "parking." This is such a cool spot with lots of tables and a beautiful bar. Definitely will be returning for dinner, more cocktails, and ice cream!

each restaurant has its own storefront/stall and you order on your phone from your table and they bring it to you!

I love this place!!! I can't believe it has taken me so long to try it. I actually saw an advertisement on a billboard on 28 and that is what prompted me to check it out, we've been here multiple times since! I love the ambiance in here. Lawrence Hall is a classic food hall housing multiple restaurants that you can order from. There is also a decent bar too. You go in and find a table (first come first served) and then use your phones and QR codes to order. I love that you can get various things from different restaurants. This is great for a group where everyone can find what they want or for anyone (like me) who has a hard time making decisions and wants to try it all. Once you order the food is brought out to you which is great. They also have a self serve water station, but the servers are kind and often bring you some as well. *edited to add - Since la palapa does not have its own page, I have to take the time to comment on their food. We love it!!! we at the very least get the chips and dips every time we come here. Very good guac and queso, and the salsa is pretty good too (although tomato heavy).

First time going and tried Kazoku with my lunch date. The vibe in there is so cool! There's about 5 different restaurants and a bar to order from. I got the kazoku bowl and they got the crunchy California roll. We'll definitely be back, possibly to try the soul food next time !

I found Lawrence Hall to be mediocre for my first time. I ordered the shrimp tacos and there was next to no flavor and the tortilla fell apart right away. The side of potatoes were okay but nothing to rave about. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing because there were plenty of options! I saw a Japanese place is being put in the hall which is exciting. Overall this place has a fun atmosphere but there are much better places to go for food.

So we've been here about 10 or so times since it's opening and I think we have a good handle on how things work. Sitting at the bar for drinks is great. You don't have to use the QR and can order like a normal bar. Drinks are always great. No complaints. Food... not so much. The ordering is a pain and nothing is timed well. Most of them are slow, others are slower. I feel like the food hall hype died about 8 years ago so this place feels out of touch. There isn't any restaurant that stands out as a must have like Iron Born pizza use to. Instead it's more food court quality. It's also frustrating when one person's meal arrives while others have to wait another 15-20 minutes. Every time we order food, we always ask ourselves "why did we eat here?" So go for drinks at the bar, but plan dinner somewhere else.

The bar serves cocktails, wines, beers, and mocktails. For dinner and late-night bites, the restaurant focuses mostly on small plates and shareables, including charcuterie, chicken wings, pizzetta, steak, and salmon. They also have a Sunday brunch that serves lox bagel, shrimp and grits, French toast, mimosa, bloody Mary, etcetera. My husband and I ate one lunch here. The best aspect of The Finch was its beautiful views of downtown Pittsburgh's skyscrapers, Monongahela River, and subway trains. The foods and drink were a mixture of quality, and my husband called them "garbage" (eek!). Here are my ratings for them. Berry Mint Spritz - 4 stars - This mocktail (I could have ordered it with alcohol to turn it into a cocktail) contained strawberries, mint, lemon, syrup, and soda water. All of the flavor had settled on the bottom of the glass, so I could have used a straw to mix the drink, but I did enjoy the flavors. Summer Crab Cakes - 2 stars - I received two crab cakes, and they were some of the worst crab cakes that I have ever received anywhere. They contained too much breading and too little meat. I did not even like the flavor of the cherry tomatoes on the side. I usually love crab cakes, but with these ones, I could take only a couple of bites, and then I had the waitress throw away the rest. Hawaiian Pizzetta - 4 stars - This small pizza consisted of four slices that had cheese but no gooey cheese-pull. Other toppings were BBQ sauce drizzle, pineapple, ham, and red pepper. I thought that it tasted good. Ember Steak Skewers - 4 stars - My husband said that the steak was not the highest quality. At least the chunks of steak, peppers, onions, and mushroom (we counted one piece of mushroom!) were marinated and seasoned nicely. The total cost for this one mocktail, three foods, and one soda was $79 *plus* a 3% credit-card surcharge, tax, and a minimum tip of 18%. We asked the waitress for a receipt, but she did not bring us one, so we walked up to her to ask for it again, and we did receive it.

It's cute but crowded with plush seating. I can't imagine being here on a busy night, it must feel like there's no breathing room. Service was fine. Our order was correct and servers were friendly. The best part about this place is the cocktails but don't expect them to be strong. My drink was absolutely delicious but with the mood effects of a mocktail, meaning nothing. I ordered two because why is this almost $20 with no buzz in sight, are we not a lounge? The menu was plentiful though I think the chef may be a little off about the origins of some of the menu items- just be Greek, friend, it'll be okay. I didn't try the pizza, which is almost half of the menu because I wasn't impressed by the small plates. How can you get pickled cauliflower wrong in Pittsburgh. That should be a sin. The hummus was okay but could use a little more ancient influence... like maybe 4,000 years worth, idk. Overall, I wouldn't be back and wouldn't recommend. It's trendy in it's ambience but doesn't deliver anything better than 25 other spots along the same street. AVVA in Aspinwall is a better option. I came here based on reviews by Elite's and this place was incredibly misrepresented.
