Upbeet is a healthy food place with things like grain bowls, salads, avocado toast, and charcoal infused lemonade. I had the curry bowl and my wife had one with apples. It was a generous portion of food and each bowl was around $12-14. The atmosphere of the place was very modern and minimalist. The homemade pesto dressing was bomb and the highlight for me. Grass-fed beef was extremely flavorful and smoky. All the vegetables are fresh. This option is more akin to like a rice bowl with many fresh vegetables since it doesn't come with a salad. I was surprisingly full from the grain bowl and it just tasted so good. Enjoyed a quick dinner at Upbeet tonight! Upbeet is located on Howell mill right near Barcelona and other regular sports. It's a fast casual restaurant that makes rice bowls, salads, and smoothies chipotle style. There are standard dishes you can order or assemble your own. Most salads and bowls range $9-14 depending on various toppings and protein add-ons. The portions are fairly largely. If your familiar with Sweetgreen this is a good substitute. I wish they had falafel but other great organic proteins are available. I came around rush hour at 630, was a bit overwhelmed by the options and didn't want to wait in line so I went with the Hale Cesar. The grilled chicken was plentiful and the croutons were deliciously seasoned. I also added a glass of Malbec which was only $6! Unfortunately only the manager can serve wine so I waited awhile for it but the staff was lovely. Parking is tight for a fast casual joint but I was lucky to find a spot right at the door. Upbeet has removed my favorite bowl (Kale Caesar) from their menu, but they can still make it :) I get it with grilled chicken, which is always fresh. For those who have not been, it's the same fast-casual model you often see, where the staff makes your order from behind the glass. Most of the veggies are organic, and I'm pretty sure all the proteins are organic. The veggies get sort of messy (I assume because they're so busy!), which is a little bit scary for someone with veggie allergies. Sometimes there's a stray carrot in the cabbage, or a corn kernel in the edamame. And that's ok, because life's a risk. JK, I just avoid! The prices are not exactly cheap, but the food is really good quality and worth it. I add a half scoop of bamboo rice and a half scoop of the forbidden rice. Pro tip: It's always enough to feed me for at least two meals, and I only get greens that will reheat well. read more

This is such a cute place in west Midtown for healthy grains and salads. Parking- they have a full lot available, but sometimes there's just too many people and all the spaces are packed. I would just circle once or twice and something should open up. Ambience- Very open and clean, they have plenty of spacing and I believe wifi because I've. noticed many people work here. Lots of sunlight. Food- Fabulous! I always get the pesto manifestó with tofu (their tofu is DELICIOUS, and you can replace any of the meats with tofu, so don't limit yourself on the premade bowls or make your own). Their juice/lemonades are delicious as well. I've never. tried the smoothies mainly on account of it would cost the same amount of money to buy the ingredients in the smoothie as to purchase it there. Pricing- horrendous. I came in for lunch on a Friday and as expected the place was crowded in the line was out the door but luckily I think by now they are used to the lunch rush in west midtown and things moved along quickly. I got the very vegan bowl and it was delicious. The pomegranates gave it a really nice crunch and the chick peas made it filling. Im not a fan of tofu but this was the most juiciest tofu I've ever had. It was seasoned very well. I even had enough to take some home. I got Brussels sprouts added to my salad because why not. It was unfortunate that avocado/guacamole were extra three dollars it would've been a great addition but that's pretty pricey for an add on. When you arrive, you text the number on the sign with your name and parking space and they bring it right out. I'm glad I ordered before, because the line was long. I don't know how many people they were allowing inside at a time, but the line was out the door and about to wrap around the building. It did seem to move efficiently. This recent time, I ordered the Guac it Out. Everything about this bowl was great except for the chicken. My chicken was cold and dry. Out of all the fast-casual healthy food concepts I've tried in Atlanta so far (e.g. Kale Me Crazy, Salata), I think Upbeet has the most delicious food and among the tastiest smoothies. This place is quick (most of the time) with high quality, healthy, and yummy food and drink, and service is very good. The restaurant opened June 10, 2017 next to the Westside Ironworks development and across the street from Westside Provisions District and Northside Tavern. It shares a building and parking lot with a veterinarian's office. The lot is free and relatively spacious for this part of town which is a plus. Upbeet was created by the same folks who started nearby Yeah! Burger. It's California-inspired. They serve salads, "grain" bowls (bamboo-infused, brown, and purple rice, and quinoa), smoothies and smoothie bowls, juices (including cold-pressed juices), sweet and savory yogurt bowls and toast, coffee, tea (including kombucha fermented tea), "superfood lattes," beer, and wine. The ingredients are local and organic (mostly -- if an ingredient isn't organic, it's marked with an asterisk), natural, humane, whole (not processed), and gluten-free. There are no GMOs (genetically modified organisms); artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, or preservatives; antibiotics or added growth hormones; or high fructose corn syrup. And the business practices sustainability. For example, there are separate areas to discard waste (trays, bowls, and glasses; composting; and recycling) just like Whole Foods. This is a casual place with a Chipotle-like assembly line setup and self-serve fountain drinks and utensils. Additional fruits, veggies, and dry toppings are an extra $0.50 each. There are 8 proteins to choose from, from citrus shrimp to vegan meatballs, that cost $3.50 to $5.00 each and premium toppings like nitrate-free bacon, local goat cheese, and non-GMO vegan Parmesan cheese that cost an extra $0.50 to $2.00 each. If you don't want to build your own bowl, there are 8 pre-set grain and 12 pre-set salad bowls to choose from. These range in price from $8.95 for the "Very Vegan" salad to $13.95 for the "Steak Out" salad and "Oh-Mega" grain bowl. A couple grain bowls I've tried and really like include the Oh-Mega and "The Bachelor." The Oh-Mega ($13.45) comes with brown rice, quinoa, spinach, edamame, watermelon radish, cashews, hemp seeds, and a housemade ginger miso dressing with sustainable steelhead (coastal rainbow) trout. You can choose to have the trout mashed up and mixed in with the other ingredients in the bowl or have it served whole on top (I prefer the latter). The cooked trout sort of resembles salmon though not as orange-pink in color. It's a boneless fillet that has good flavor. The tasty dressing is what really brings the bowl together. It's terrific. The Bachelor ($12.45) is excellent. It's made with brown rice, red onions, heirloom cherry tomatoes, basil, charred broccoli, roasted mushrooms, roasted fingerling potatoes and a housemade pesto vinaigrette with grilled grass-fed steak. The steak is chopped into bite-size pieces. It's tender and savory. My favorite ingredients in this bowl are the roasted mushrooms and the colorful heirloom cherry tomatoes. The dressing is quite flavorful and, like the Oh-Mega bowl, really ties everything together. It's a satisfying bowl. In general, the ingredients are fresh. Sure, you can get a more filling chicken, steak, or pork burrito bowl at Chipotle for only $6.50-7.50, but you don't get the quality or selection of ingredients there that you do here. Unfortunately, there's a premium when it comes to eating good quality, healthy food. There are 10 different kinds of smoothies priced at $9-12 each with optional $2 upgrades like grass-fed ghee (Indian clarified butter) and MCT oil (medium-chain triglycerides). I've tried the Strawberry Basil smoothie made with strawberries, basil, pomegranate, banana, and vanilla almond milk. It's delectable, cold, and refreshing, and not too thick either. I miss New York and I love sweetgreen. Yes, this is the right review for Upbeet. I'm glad they've opened up Upbeet, although my wallet may not be saying the same. It brings me a little close to Manhattan without having to pay for a plane ticket or lodging in the city... I decided to order a grain bowl, because I'm NO LONGER ON A LOW CARB DIET WOOT. The Bachelor seemed filling and meaty and delicious, and with the Bachelor and Bachelorette on my mind, I went ahead and ordered it to go for lunch the next day. I decided to skip out on hoping a raw fish bowl would hold in the fridge for the next day. The Bachelor was everything I wished it would be, and even better, it fed me two meals! It was a meatier version of the Shroomami bowl I ordered at sweetgreen. Ugh, I'm definitely on a shroom fix right now (not the hallucinogenic kind) and Upbeet is doing nothing to stop me. I decided to also splurge on a smoothie, because after consuming a wine flight at Barcelona next door... why the hell not?! I ordered the Green Day, a happier combination of a sweet greens (see what I did there) smoothie without having to consume an unbearably healthy tasting sludge. Just wish it didn't cost me an arm and a leg to do so... Overall, Upbeet would be very dangerous if I worked or lived nearby - thankfully, I do not. This place looks like something you would imagine to be in a movie about celebrities and what they would request if they could have anything they wanted to eat. It didn't help that the weather was sunny and breezy and as I was walking in light filled the room. The first thing I see is "Good Vibes only" and i'm already like, 'Is this place divine or what?' As I proceed to the beginning of the line though I have a moment of panic. 'Wait, I have to choose one of these bowls? There are so many great options!!' Then it gets worse-- I can build my own bowl or salad?? The choices are endless!! This was/is both an amazing, but difficult situation. It was only scary for a minute as I quickly peruse the menu and ask someone behind the counter for help. I was lucky that day because I was sticking to a specific diet so I knew what proteins to lean on. Everyone behind the counter is helpful in making decisions too. I finally go through all the steps of making my own bowl and like puzzle pieces fitting together my bowl ended up a great assembly. It probably did not exactly fit the theme I initially was going for, but it still tasted great -- I got some hot veggies and some cold ones with the miso ginger tempeh and the thai peanut dressing. Yummmmm. It ended up being very filling too. I would recommend sharing a bowl with someone if possible. The salads are a little lighter though. Then it got even better - they have all natural lemonades with agave and with one cup you can try all the different ones that they have -- charcoal, cayenne, ginger, and they probably circulate some of options at times. *One thing to be careful though is that the meal does quickly add up. So I easily spent about $20 for a lunch here. It is worth it every now and then for a quality, healthy, delicious bowl, but not the most accessible for frequent eating. The young girl today came up talking about short staffing and I look around sand state that I'm literally the only person here as she was filling up sauce cups...she then proceeds to say well we have other things we have to do as well and I totally get that but what does customer service have to do with being short staffed??? Did my research and the founder of Yeah Burger has brought this cool, fresh salad establishment right across the street from "Yeah Burger" in West Provisions. Upbeet looks very trendy and has the cali-vibe that's very clean and minimal. Lines are always long and never-ending after 1PM that mad props are due to the staff on keeping their cool. There is designated parking within the plaza and though I never had issues finding a spot, it does seem limited as some are dedicated for the eye clinic or was it animal hospital(?) next door. Menu is pretty extensive from salads, rice bowls, to make it your own along with healthy juices and etc. It's hard to figure out the whole menu so make sure you check all the choices from online menu or from my pics, especially if you're making your own bowl. So far, I've had the Yelp favorite, Aloha bowl, and macro bowl, Oh Mega, and Very Vegan. Just to warn you, I did not like the Aloha bowl. The first time I had it, I ordered this, while my friends ordered the Very Vegan and the Macro bowl and I was just eyeing theirs the whole time. While Oh Mega had more veggies on top, similar to Aloha bowl, wasn't my favorite at all. I have been coming ot this place for the past 2 - 3 years (maybe longer). Why? Because it's consistently good tasting food AND it's good for you. Organic. Healthy. And abundant. The service is always excellent and the restaurant is always clean as a whistle. I'm writing a review on this day to give a special nod and shout out to one of their managers: TANJA (or is it TONJA?!). For me, she has been the face of Upbeet ever since I started coming here. Whereas other workers have come and gone, her friendliness, work ethic, swift service and general effervescence has been a constant.
