Tassili's makes my favorite wraps of all time. I am not vegan but I absolutely love eating here. Their wraps are massive, delicious, and make me feel like I'm eating healthy too. I got the South of the Border wrap. The full size is enough for two people. It is stuffed with kale (I get the spicy one and it has a nice kick to it), avocado, black bean hummus, and couscous. I highly recommend! I usually order ahead of time and come to pick it up because service is slow. Online, it will say your order is ready in 10-15 minutes, but that is not true. Wait at least 30-45 minutes to pick it up. I finally made it to Tassili's after hearing only positive reviews. I had a weekday off and wanted a healthy wrap. There were about four customers in line when I arrived but it moved as slow as molasses. I recommend ordering online if you don't have extra time to wait. Also know what you want when you arrive, it helps move the line a little quicker. This is a raw vegan restaurant that is known for their kale mix. You have your choice of wraps, spicy kale, mild kale or you can do a 50/50 blend. The spicy has heat which i love but I'm glad I did the 50/50, it was perfect. There is a free parking lot a few steps away from the business and it's large so you shouldn't have a problem finding parking. I had the south of the border with a chili wrap and all ingredients. I had the half size which was extremely large and enough for two people to share or enough for two days. It's such a beautiful wrap but personally not my favorite. All the ingredients were very fresh but it was something that I just didn't enjoy about it. Maybe it was the Moroccan couscous flavor. I'm willing to try another wrap and will probably go with the OG or Dat Ish. Prices were okay for the serving size you receive. There are tables outside. So I gave a positive review in 2017 after Tassilli's had an overhaul and it has just been up-and-up and up. The line is wayyyy faster (yay!!!!!). I used to skip going there simply because I couldn't handle the line, now it's closer to the speed of being at a Chipotle, which is doable. Also, in 2017 when I gave my other positive review the food was fresher than it had been before the overhaul and now it is even fresher than then!! Fresh fresh, so tasty & important for a raw restaurant. The recipes are still amazing. My favorite is the mixed kale wrap on seaweed with no soy with soy free Mayonnaise. I love that there are so many soy free and gluten free options and so many alkaline options. I think it's awesome, I also still love the raw Pad Thai, and they have added some additional sides that are yummy, I always seem to come when they're out of their tasty seasoned popcorn I hope that comes back because it's bomb.com as well. For Tasilli's overall, I haven't ever heard anyone say they tasted something that wasn't good and I've tried a few things on their menu and would say the same for everything I've tried, i have my favorites, but everything was tasty. When I say I wasn't ready, I don't mean that in a bad way, I just didn't have "everything raw" in mind. I love vegan and vegetarian food, but I didn't realize this was truly a raw experience. For example, I had my eye on the battered cauliflower and didn't realize it was raw, but I still gave it a try, and I'm glad I did! I love this place! I only wish it was closer to me. I always stop by when I'm in the west end to see my loctitian. I usually order ahead and it's always been ready. Sometimes, I'll have to wait for someone to see me at the pickup counter, but it's never a long wait. It's best to order ahead or get there when Tassili's opens; otherwise, you could have a long line and wait. The couple of times I've ordered and gone through the line, the workers have been nice and efficient. My favorite wrap is the punany, but you really can't go wrong with any of them. Even the half serving of the wraps can last me for two lunches, depending on how hungry I am. My body just feels good after eating here. Good to know- they have a ghost kitchen now at the Forrest Rd kitchen hall. Haven't tried it yet but hopefully it's as good as the original. On this particular day, this location did not open on time and the owner herself quietly walked past the line to let staff know to open up. Once inside, we were told that due to staff shortage no one is allowed at the back counter where orders are normally placed, all wrap orders must be placed at the front kiosk (guessing for accuracy), and all other items can be purchased at the front register. Unfortunately, this was a challenge for some of the older customers. I ordered the Sorrel, OG Kale wrap, and Mild Bagged Popcorn. The ginger overpowers the taste in the Sorrel so much, that no other ingredients can be recognized. Not too sure what the exact smell of the old house is, but it ended up as an after-taste in my OG Kale wrap. The wrap itself tasted like it was expired. What a waste of $16 + tax & tip! Update to previous review as I had never purchased the non-wrap options. Enjoyed my three item plate which included black love stew, curry plantain and okra. I do not have the detail ingredients on each, but the creations by Tassili and her staff were pleasing to my pallet. What I did enjoy most about my dish was the fact that it was not overcooked, something I am guilty of doing, especially with okra. The okra had a nice crispness and was complemented by the non-GMO corn (I inquired) and tomatoes. The love stew consisted of black rice, which was optional and mushrooms. The curry plantain was extremely delicious and gave me insight into different ways to prepare this Caribbean staple. My companion had the cauliflower and curry plantain as well. Both dishes were served chilled. I am extremely pleased to have options that are creative and tasty as I continue to eat more plant-based foods. Tassili's Raw Reality will be always be a go to for me. The food is diverse offerings and I always have a good experience regardless if there is a line or not. They frequently open later than the time posted and the employees will complain about their job the entire 30 minutes it takes to get serviced which I understand because they are under staffed.. We were in the West End to check out the Hammons House and Wren's Nest and Tassili's was at the top of every list for lunch recommendations. We ordered online ~15 minutes before arrival to avoid a wait, but the place was absolutely swamped (deadly combo of being understaffed and super popular). I think it took an extra 15-20 minutes to get our wrap. We couldn't eat it right away because we had a timed tour at the Wren's Nest across the street, but it held up just fine. My partner and I split it and ate it in the Wren's Nest yard. The wrap didn't seem like much, but it was fire The kale was seasoned well (I could taste a lot of nooch in it) and complemented the couscous, chickpeas, and avocado. Though the wrap is pretty pricy (IIRC it's around $20), eating half a wrap kept us satiated until dinner. I have been recommended to try this place a bunch of times!!!! Guys, I finally made it and got to try the Tassili Punnay Wrap mixed with mild and spicy. It had such great flavor with a hint of heat! It was very fulfilling. Cant lie, inside is small and the lines are long! But since driving 45mins I had to stay and see whats up. But i didn't wait long, i think i got through pretty quickly and i did get a juice from there not pictured but it was handmade and was really good.
