Lord, I finally got a chance to make it in to Soul Vegan/Planted Soul! Their hours had a brother struggling with my schedule and all, but I made it. I ordered via Uber Eats take out today, and it was great. They have a similar set up like Soul Box in the West End, but you will not find tradition meat on the menu. The food is so good. My order was ready on-time. Parking is ample in a private lot and the process of getting your order via pick-up was so easy. I felt the heft of the food in the bag immediately when I pick it up to deliver up out of it the deliciousness of everything inside. It felt like a heavy plate from the cookout or from Grandma's house after Sunday dinner. This is true food for the soul. I loved the sweet potatoes. I loved the mac and cheese. I loved, loved, LOVED the vegan chicken-like protein. I felt in love with it and the hot sauce that came with it. I was not a fan, in particular, of the collard greens--not because they lacked meat seasoning. They were a little too spicy for my liking. Otherwise, this is good food. 13/10 Best vegan soul food I have ever had in my life & I've been eating this way since 2018. Who makes the mac & cheese? They put they mf foot in that. The buffalo sauce??? Immaculate. I'm from out of town but I would definitely come back every time I'm in town. Thank you so much! read more

Decided to try this spot while I was in the area. It was just a vibe. We noticed people were coming and going, so I just knew the food would be good. When I got there I placed my order through their app. To my surprise they had and serve multiple restaurants from the location. Honestly, I think it's brilliant ! The plate was packed, stuffed with the side. The Mac n cheese is very good, you can taste the spices. The yams tastes like thanksgiving or Christmas. And the greens, yes lawd, add a little hot sauce and I'd think I made them myself. Chick'n nuggets are seasoned very well. It didn't take long to get the food and everything was contactless. There was a guy you could talk to if needed but ultimately, it was a contactless situation. Different but brilliant. There's like 8 restaurants in one location. read more

Three days into the Daniel Fast, I was over eating what I had at home and needed something comforting and filling. After a quick search of the area, I found Soul Vegan @plantedsoulatl was close by. However upon arriving to the address, I see that it's not a physical restaurant but, moreso an incubator for several restaurants; catering to food delivery apps. We'll, I was slightly disappointed because ya girl was HUNGRY! And wanted food asap. Lol. So, I placed an order on @ubereats and headed home. The food was delivered about 10 mins after I got home and I was NOT disappointed. The plate cost around $20 so, I definitely had high expectations. The portion size was excellent and the "fried chicken" was delicious!! Oh my goodness, the seasoning and batter was excellent!!! I didn't like the greens, but that maybe a preference thing ‍. Everything else was good! Honestly, I'll probably order for lunch today. Lol read more

This is a kiosk food hall. I got the rashsta pasta. HORRIBLE! It take like it had vinegar, semi sweet bbq sauce and a load of spice. This dish did not make sense! I have eaten many if vegan pasta dishes. The chef need to visit New Orleans and experience their pasta first hand. I hate giving a bad review but this warrant it. read more

This was my first time trying a vegan restaurant. Food was 10/10! The soul rolls were amazing and the Mac & Cheese. The Philly egg rolls are better hot right out the fryer. I would like to go back to try other menu items. It was a pick up and go type of joint. So nowhere to dine in. Just by the taste alone I'll be back. read more

Ordered via Uber Eats. Driver texted saying he had been waiting in parking lot for a long time for the food. Ordered at 5:45pm and was delivered at 7:03pm. Portions are great! Oyster wings were wonderful, but sauce needs work. Oxtail Pasta didn't have the carrots or peppers that was listed in description but as a pasta dish, pretty decent. Jamaican Me Crazy main dish was good, sides were a lil bland. Ok... Soul Vegan... or Planted Soul.. you rocked my world. I'm a cheating vegan. I eat meat a couple times per year. I eat Eggs. I'm pretty intolerant to milk. That leads me in a Vegan direction most of the time. You were on my list to try as soon as I got to ATL and you didn't disappoint. I ordered the "Good for the Soul" meal. Best vegan Mac& Cheese I've tasted. Best "fried chicken" I've tasted. Real decent Yams and cornbread. Greens were a little bland and a tad too spicy for my taste buds. I spent $60 on Uber eats and I am very disappointed. I ordered good for the soul and vegan oxtails. I tasted good for the soul once before and it was excellent. So I decided to try it again, but this time it was the complete opposite. The cornbread wouldn't even stay together and was less than half of the size of the first time that I experienced it. The vegan oxtail tasted like regular store, mushrooms with no flavor and you can taste burnt pieces of something in the oxtails. The nothing like oxtails to be honest. There was pepper on the macaroni and cheese, and I do not recall it being on it the first time my son complained about it being too spicy this time. He's four years old he would not eat it. I hope that this establishment can correct these issues because this was a terrible experience. read more

yummmmmm!! i was craving collards and found this by searching vegan on ubereats. the collards and yams were on point! the mac and cheeze was also very good, just that my sister has mastered the art of creamy mac and cheez so i always compare to hers. i wasn't expecting chickn nuggets for the chickn part of the order, but it was also tasty. this realllllly hit the spot for my southern comfort food craving. read more

I really wanted To like this place. The reviews were good and the food looked amazing. I ordered the Good for the soul and as you can see, they didn't even bother to finish cooking my greens, like WTF!!!! The macaroni was okay. The cornbread was delicious and the chick'n didn't taste vegan. I also ordered the chili and it was way too tomato based. It supposedly had vegan grounds but all I saw was beans and all I tasted was tomato sauce. Very disappointed. With tax and tip I spent $45 and I ate all of $10 worth of food and still have to get food elsewhere. Do better guys. read more

Been here twice and was not disappointed either time. My parents actually liked this place (non-vegans) and everything I had was pretty good. The jerk chick plate was SPICY YALL. But the honey cornbread and Mac & cheese are my favorite. I've tried the Philly roll, which was really good, esquites, the potato salad, the vegan oxtails (mushrooms). It was good if you like mushrooms lol. I'm going to go back and try some other things on the menu. read more

Delivery and take-out is available with card payment only. The food was delicious despite a lil hiccup with one of the orders in our party....but hey, 2 out of 3 ain't bad! I had a chance to order via Uber Eats and when I say I was impressed I was impressed. The food was delicious! I ordered the vegan chicken, collard green Mac and cheese and corn bread with yams. Wow! Everything was season so well and Filling. I could not eat it all in one setting so I ate the rest for lunch the next day and it still tasted good. While my car was in the shop I was stuck in the house so I decided to order some takeout. I went on Uber Eats under the vegan section to see what they have to offer. Soul Vegan's menu looked interesting and in one of my vegan groups people were raving about the food so I decided to give it a try. After going over the menu a couple of times I decided on the Jamaican you crazy which includes jerk chick'n, rice and peas, collard greens and Mac and cheese. It says my order was out for delivery then my order was unexpectedly canceled with no explanation. Needless to say I'm very pissed and hungry. I will definitely not waste my time ordering here again. read more

This place was amazing! The chicken was good, reminds me of a chicken nugget, the yams were good, the greens were good too even though they had a little sweet flavor to them. The Mac could've used a little more seasoning but overall this was very good. I recommend ordering ahead for the first available pickup time. We had to go 2 days in a row because when we tried to order later in the day the first time they were out of food. The lobster in the melt is delicious, as well as the fried shrimp entree. The fries are good and seasoned too. It's not a restaurant but you go and pick up your food from a factory like location. Definitely recommend. read more

Delicious food! I loved every bite! I will definitely order again! The only knock I have is not the food. When I got there to pick up my order the sign says check in at the tablets they have on the wall. I go to check in but I can't find soul vegan on the tablet. No one was around to help. I finally saw the security guard and asked him how do I check in. He said he had no clue. Finally the lady at the counter told Me that the tablet check in for the food delivery drivers and that I didn't need to check in. Besides that little fumble the food here was excellent! One of the original vegan restaurants in the USA Hebrew/Africa American-owned. I'm a big fan of the greens protein tidbits and salad with both prince and cucumber dressing. I've lost so much weight eating Judy that for 30 days. My diet goes to Staples if you're in Chicago try that on also on 75 & Indiana. I've tried this restaurant twice and LOVED IT!! The food is beautifully seasoned and that cornbread perfectly sweetened. I love soul food but not a fan of the lethargy that follows eating it. I was able to eat part of my meal for lunch and continue my day without feeling fatigued. Did you notice I said I ate part of my meal? I've tried Jamaican Me Crazy and Vegan Oxtails. Both meals came with the macaroni cheese, greens and cornbread. I was able to eat from each of those meals 2-3 times. THOSE VEGAN OXTAILS!!! SOOOOOOOO GOOOD!! I'm gonna tell you right now that Soul Vegan will change your life. I recommend you immediately grab all your non vegan friends and family and take them there. Trust me you'll have more Vegan friends and family if you do. I had the Philly egg rolls and the Lobster Melt and fries. Every last bite had me wanting to sing to the heavens. You better believe when my wife and I come back to Atlanta we will be stopping here first. Matter of fact I'll go pick up my family and then immediately head here so I can watch their mouth drop to the floor when they take that first bite. Yams are delicious, cornbread is moist. I liked the Mac and cheese but it does taste a little bit like Thanksgiving so it is dependent on your taste. Our favorite thing was definitely the Philly rolls! They don't even need the bbq drizzle they're delicious on their own. The cheese they use for those is TO DIE FOR. read more

I ordered take-out online and it said the order would take 45 minutes. Our order ended up taking more like one hour plus. I ordered the two-piece fried chicken platter, and the food runner told me the kitchen originally was going to give me only two drumsticks, but she told the kitchen to make me another order because two drumsticks was too little meat. I appreciated that gesture. Unfortunately, I didn't think their fried chicken lived up to the hype. I thought the skin was nicely crisp, but the flavor was simple and not impressive for the price and long wait. Also, they completely missed one of my side orders, and I didn't realize it until we had already left. I've eaten fried chicken from all kinds of different cuisines, so I found the fried chicken here a bit lackluster. Maybe their other food is better, but I don't think the fried chicken is worth the price or the wait. Also, be careful of missing food in your order because from reading some reviews, it seems that it happens too often.
