Amazingly delicious food! I have only eaten there twice so far, but will order delivery tonight.

It's been a while (a long while) since I was last at Life Bistro, however, I am excited to say that the establishment is still clean, the service is still stellar, and the food is still bombbbbbbb. As today was a holiday (Labor Day 2025) they closed early so my plans to dine in were shifted to carry out real quick. With that? I proceeded to the counter, utilized the mobile device to place my order and was on my way. As I wanted the Kale Wrap, however only the Large appeared to be available, I opted to just get a side of Collards as I didn't want anything too heavy. Once my order was placed I took a seat and waited until my name was called... Once my name was called, I got my order and I was out. The Collards: The portion was nice, for the price I wouldn't have minded a bit more but I wasn't mad. The flavor profile was simple yet good. The natural flavor of the greens was present along with a blend of spices and herbs that helped to enhance the flavor. They were good enough that I would order them again. Portobello Steak Rasta Pasta - Very Disappointing for the Price Ordered via Uber Eats | Total Paid: $40.96 I was genuinely looking forward to this meal but ended up disappointed. I ordered the gluten-free Portobello Steak Rasta Pasta with several customizations (no added salt, no jerk, plus sweet potato bacon, avocado, Alfredo sauce, and onions). Unfortunately, the dish was heavily pasta-loaded with very little Portobello "steak"--just four thin, overly charred strips. For a dish that cost over $30 before delivery and fees, it felt misrepresented. The chickpea pasta was also a bit tough in texture, which didn't help the overall experience. While the customizations were followed correctly, the execution and portion of the main feature (the Portobello mushroom) didn't justify the price. I expected something much more balanced and flavorful. I love supporting plant-based spots, but this one fell short--especially at this price point. read more

Ok so, this was my final try of Life Bistro. My very first time was in person about two years ago around brunch time. It was only two of us--long story short we wind up not even eating because after sitting there waiting for our food (or so we thought) for over 30 mins and seeing people who came after us get theirs, we were like wtf. When we asked and got to the bottom of it, turns out our order was misplaced so the kitchen never got the ticket. I recall the waitress being new but still. We left because we had other plans and couldnt keep waiting atp. Fast forward to last year--I decided to order on Uber Eats. I got the po boy and an order of fried pickles. The po boy was just okay with some of the mushrooms over cooked but no biggie. Just removed those...the fried pickles were terrible. The pickles were over cooked and extra greasy. It was a while before I ordered again. Tried months later and ordered the "shrimp" and it was just okay but not really something I'd order again. I'd been hesitant to order again because of those prior experiences but this time I had an uber eats discount and wanted something vegan so I was like let me try them again--esp since this time its the middle of the day on a Thursday so the food may be better vs those previous times ordering were nights. Well needless to say--this is the last time I will order from there and have no plans to ever go again in person. I ordered the lions mane "catfish" nuggets that were supposed to come with hush puppies but no hush puppies were in the order but they gave me fries which wasnt listed as part of this meal--so I'm guessing that was the substitute for the hushpuppies. Anyway, the lions man nuggets were TERRIBLE! Majority of them were overcooked and inedible. After digging around and having to break all of them open after biting into the first one that was cooked to a crisp on inside--the ones that I could eat were heavily (or better yet overly) seasoned and greasy. The fries were good but i didnt even order fries. I wanted Life Bistro to be good because it is Black owned and I try to support my people but chile, this one has disappointed one too many times. I was looking forward to the lions mane--and as much it costs to buy those mushrooms, they really overcooked em? I wonder if they just didnt care since I used an uber discount. Lol. Ordered to-go, from inside the restaurant and was greeted by a friendly worker. The menu is extensive so it took me a while to review it. The menu is only on one kiosk or online. I ordered the Lobster Bisque appetizer and it was bomb. Not one note for improvement. A+ The Portobello Rasta Pasta needed more salt and more mushrooms. B The Kale Wrap was a huge miss. It was small and bland. D I would most definitely eat here again, but I would order in advance. The wait time is a little extreme. read more

I drove 30 min to a spot called Life Bistro to get a veggie plate that includes mashed red potatoes, collards, and creole Mac & cheese... The plate cost $18. Mind you i had to pay an extra $2.00 for the non cheese having Mac and cheese that is more Caucasian than creole. None of the veggies were seasoned. The only thing you can taste is the smoke on the collard greens. The portions were extra small. They smoothed it out to make it look bigger than it was. I also ordered portobello fingers with buffalo sauce and the portion was insane. If the buffalo sauce didn't come with it- i don't even know if i would have been able to eat it. That cost $15. You can't get that in a meal btw. Bad experience. Wouldn't recommend. $38.15 down the drain and i will definitely not return or recommend to a mf friend. Hello, 911? Yes, I need to report a crime! Location: Life Bistro. What happened, you ask? The chilaquiles attacked my throat, squeezed my heart, and awakened my soul! I haven't tried everything on the menu yet, but I'd bet my last two nickels that this is the most flavorful item there! I also ordered mushroom rasta pasta, fried mushrooms with the most divine sweet chili sauce EVER, French fries, Texas toast with a mushroom sandwich, potato salad, and a ginger tea drink. I'm drooling just thinking about it. The inside is cozy and quaint with just a couple chairs and tables, and the playlist is fire--like, you might catch yourself dancing while waiting for your food. You order from a kiosk and then wait for the magic to happen. Highly recommend. I'm not vegan or vegetarian, but this place has me converted! Titi, our server was great!!! Broke down that menu something serious. I would love to go back when there is live entertainment. So here's the critical stuff: fresh juices. Like they have a serious industrial juicer/extractor behind the counter. All of the food is vegan and plant based options. Yes, there's levels. I would suggest go with an appetite. The menu is mouth watering. Focus on how much on how much you're ordering. It adds up really quick and yes gratuity is included. Decor is comfy. My only speculation and I hate to add this. Service was top tier. Ski made sure that we felt welcomed and appreciated even when I didn't like my entree. The appetizers had me excited for the main course. The depth in flavors made me want to meet the chefs and shake their hands. For starters .. let me say there was absolutely no wait time ! We got greeted the min we stepped foot into the door. I am a total fan of pressed fresh juices however I was with my boyfriend who is not! (Not many other options for drinks) limited to just beers for alcoholic drink. First time visiting. I ordered the oyster mushroom po boy, creole mac & cheese and soursop tea. The po boy was good. The mushrooms were fried perfectly, but it didn't have much flavor. The creole Mac &!cheese was not good at all. I'm not sure what sauce they used but I couldn't finish it. I would recommend they find a different vegan cheese and also add some seasoning. I ordered the Country Fried Soul Food Platter and large cheese sauce for pickup. Overall, the food was bland with the exception of the Mac and cheese. The fried mushroom tasted unseasoned. The mash potatoes were okay. The greens were... blah. The Mac and cheese was the highlight, but that's not redemption for how unsatisfying the meal was. The price didn't match the portion; $26. Everything on the menu seemed to be overpriced. This isn't the first time I've been to the restaurant, as I use to go to get a cupcake they carried from a local vendor. The food was overpriced back then too. Also, I was disappointed with the $6 Large Cheese sauce portion, yal, the container wasn't even half full. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Have had this place before on uber eats and decided to come in person. The establishment was not at all upscale as advertised, they asked if we wanted plastic cutlery. The server was clearly not familiar with the menu, he came back twice and asked us for what sides we wanted. We never even received the sides and paid an outrageous tab. The tap water had an awful after taste. The table next to ours got their food but they came in 15 minutes after us which was odd. The owner checked on every table to make sure they were ok except for ours. I felt very discriminated against. We waited 40 minutes to be served and the appetizer came at the very end. The shrimp alfredo pasta was not edible due to it tasting like straight salt. Overall experience was very disappointing and will not be getting my business ever again. read more

The ingredients, however, definitely taste closer to being bad than good. The sauces had a strong essence of vinegar that was undesirable. The food was really just overall undesirable with the greasiness. I've been here before like two years ago and it was near as bad, but it was equally unpleasant with the staff's attitude being a lack of enthusiasm for the job they do. Especially when I'm paying over 5x what the food is worth. Can easily find these foods being up charged 2x or even 3x as much being respectable when inputting service, but not here. I got 2 red velvet cakes (made from vtastecakes & they were good, but definitely not a "healthy" cake option), 2 Mac&cheese that taste like a can of rotel was dumped on it to give it the "creole" flavor, 2 fried zucchini that wasn't bad, Texas toast chkn sandwich and fries that wasn't bad, but definitely not $22 good, and sweet & spicy oyster mushroom that were not good. Unbelievegan in Fairburn has way better food. They have Mac & cheese that tastes 10x better and cauliflower bites that ain't hella greasy. The Vegan Time Cafe is Stone Mountain is way better and has a lot more soul in its food. Definitely wish I would've gone there instead, but glad I got a clear confirmation that this Life Bistro Cafe ain't the spot. Never again. It ain't worth 95$ read more

It had been a long time since I've been here, but my plant based sister-in-love and her non plant based sister wanted some good food so my sister-in-love was like ooh I wanna go to Life Bistro! Anyway, we got there and they have a few new things on the menu and they were also out of a few of our favorites. If you ever go, I recommend the zucchini fries as they are so good! Everything we had was super good and very flavorful. My non plant based sister thoroughly enjoyed her food. We had Reema as our server and she took the time to explain everything to us. She was very professional and very mature for her age. The ambiance is still nice but looks like the restaurant could use a little bit of a touch up. read more

Visited Life Bistro for the first time 10/19/25. This restaurant is a cozy, quaint, smooth vibe. The service was attentive and friendly. The vegan food was just what I needed to close out the day on a health conscious note! I enjoyed the spicy oyster mushrooms, kale salad and Portobello Steak Rasta Pasta and my Beau enjoyed the Blackened Shrimp Alfredo and Creole Mac and Cheese...freshly made! I wish I could leave 0 stars. This is a very dishonest business. This was our first and last time eating at this restaurant. I would advise you NOT to go here. I was very skeptical because of the appearance of the restaurant. I was equally skeptical because I didn't see a Health Department rating on the door. The restrooms are unkempt. Even the outside of the restaurant is unsightly. However, I am vegan and was very hungry. This was the closest place. I purchased two meals and a piece of cake. I asked for a refund for the cake because it was a very small piece and should not have cost $8.50. I am accustomed to getting a slice of cake double the size of the slice she gave us for a lower cost. She took the cake back but didn't refund my money. She initially said that she issued the refund and that it would show up later. However, when I explained to her that I get immediate notifications on my phone when a refund is processed (even if it is pending) she changed her story. She then admitted that she did not issue the refund because she couldn't issue the refund. She called the owner and then said that the owner would have to do it. They can keep the $8.50. I just want to warn potential customer. The food was okay but definitely not worth a return trip to an unkempt and dishonest establishment. read more

First let me say that I will be back to try more of their menu, this review is based on the creole Mac & chz which is the only item I tried. I was hoping that the Mac would be baked but it was saucy. The Cajun flavor was good but started to overwhelm my palette a bit the more I ate it. Inside has basic tables, nothing special about the decor. For me this is more of a Togo type of place than a date night spot. The lady at the register was nice and the other staff were friendly too. I'm trying to support this business but they need to do better with time management. Especially if I'm driving a half hour there. Once the order was complete, the container had seasoning and handprints over it. I asked could it be cleaned and I was given napkins. Love the food but not sure if I'll be returning. Black-Owned Business 2 stars due to the Owner's effort trying to smooth out my frustration for waiting over 55 minutes for our order. An order that consisted of the Appetizer Sweet & Spicy Oyster Mushrooms, Seafood Rasta Pasta, the Creole Mac & Cheese & Smoky Collard Greens. Let's not blame the Pandemic for the extremely long wait. Let's not blame the Pandemic for the kitchen's small size. Let's not blame the Pandemic for overpriced food that supersedes portions. Just a few of the excuses we got in response to the unprecedented wait time inquiry. Why did my order take almost an hour & close to $45? One - Too many chefs in the kitchen, yet not enough output. Two - Delivery orders took a precedent over in-house or to-go orders. I watched the POS machine spit out orders that the Owner/Front Line employee personally navigated down the "wait" line as opposed to first come first serve. Three - Only one Server on the floor. When we arrived, it was three tables with 2 or fewer people. Almost 30 minutes later, another party of 1 came in, got seated, waited almost 10 minutes before the Server made her way over. Four - At the 45 minutes mark, I inquired about the "All Sales Final" signage above the counter/register. The Owner gave me excuses & reasons on why the best Vegan restaurant in the Southeast (I believe he stated "worldwide") is backed up. I opted not to exude any energy on bantering his thought process. Five - I was told another 15 minutes - 58 minutes since I placed my order, my name was called & was told to check my order. Too bad I wasn't able to checkmate, return my order & get a refund. The Sweet & Spicy Oyster Mushrooms was tossed together from what looked like old grease & leftover batter - nowhere near the $14 value/portion. The Seafood Rasta Pasta should be ashamed of itself for charging $22. Just by looking at the picture, the Pasta is far from "Hearty" as indicated on the menu. The five Konjac (Vegan version of Shrimp) some barely cooked, the overcooked pasta & minimal sauce was a huge waste all around. The same unfortunate sentiments for the Creole Mac & Cheese - sprinkling Old Bay on top of runny, undercooked M&C does not constitute Creole cooking. Not to mention the up-charge of $2 if you select the Creole M&C as one of the sides. The Collard Greens lacked all sorts of a "Smoky" presence & taste. $18 for two small sides of nothing. I don't recommend Life Bistro. The food concept is positive, yet the presentation, price point & portions are negative. The wait time & lack of customer check-ins/updates is downright unprofessional & inconsiderate. Absolutely nowhere near one of the best Vegan Food/Fine Dining restaurants in the city, state, or otherwise. However, the strip plaza establishment gives off a cool dining vibe upon entry. All the folks out there who are reluctant or suspect when they hear "plant based" food need to make a visit to Life Bistro because it will make you a true believer! On my most recent visit (Saturday 9th August) for a family anniversary celebration, everyone ordered something different and it was all so good (pancakes were the best in ATL!) that we were eating off each other's plate. I ordered Quesadillas and the sisters sitting on my right and left started digging in (with my encouragement) and there was no leftover for me to take home and I love leftovers! What a hidden gem! My good gal pal is vegetarian and always knows the best places to eat. When we have gatherings, I'm always considering her palette when making dishes - kale salad, veggie fried rice, fruits and maybe a pasta salad. This cozy restaurant had all the comfort food with the flavor. My friend ordered brunch - a waffle, fried zucchini wedges, vegan sausage and home fries (sweet potatoes). I ordered the black bean chili with cornbread and a kale wrap. We both had a fresh pressed juice that's infused with ginger. Everything was tasty, fresh and full of flavor. I'd hoped for more tomatoes and spice to my chili but it was still tasty. The cornbread was rather dry but perhaps with vegan ingredients? Maybe adding applesauce to be more moist. The kale wrap was really good and not over powering. They were out of the lasagna but I saw other guests eating pasta dishes. Everyone was smiling and full!
