Cute cozy taco spot in college park and also black owned! The chips and corn dip were the star of the show for me. The chips were fresh, flavorful, and crispy which I enjoyed along with the corn dip. So good I could eat just that. We also ordered the Detroit taco, and the beef birria tacos. The flavor was definitely there, but the tortillas were just too hard to enjoy. It was like they cooked them too long on the grill so all I tasted was char over the actual taco. If the tortillas were cooked well, this would've been a much better review but unfortunately it ruined it for me. However, the service was great and the flavor had potential so I am willing to give it another shot. read more

This is one of my favorite neighborhood spots. They have the best tacos, guacamole, and chips, margaritas and Palomas. They have an option to get corn or flour tortillas, or lettuce wraps, which I normally do. I like the west side and south side, which are the seafood options and the cauli Park and ske gee which are the vegan options. Dese the owner and Kaylah one of the bartenders provide great service and I am glad they are close by so I can frequent them! read more

This is a perfect Taco Tuesday spot in College Park. They had special deals including discounted food and drinks. The menu is very inclusive of those with dietary restrictions or that want vegetarian/vegan options. I did the vegan birria tacos and they were soo good and came out fast, along with chips and guac. I think the chips are made in house. They were so fresh and had a delicious crunch. The bartender Meg was amazing!! She was so friendly, personable and made incredible recommendations. I had two house mango margaritas and a couple shots with my friend that night. The location had a great music playlist going and I think one of the football games on their tv, so a very chill bar environment. Small establishment and pack your patience but the food was great. The bartender stopped a few times to help in the kitchen. We ordered 2 margaritas and yuca fries while waiting for our entrees. Starving after my flight from Denver found this place on Yelp. Quaint but enough seating for several diners and bar patrons. They have a few TVs to watch sports or movies. There had been a new cook in the kitchen during my last visit and let me tell you, this time the experience was magical! I started off with the chips and dip again...5 stars all the way! The queso was perfectly creamy, the guacamole was fresh and vibrant and the elote dip was the star!!! I paired it all with a delicious margarita topped with Tajin rum...chef's kiss!! (I'm a spicy hot pootie though and the Skegee Tacos did draw a few beads of sweat along the way - Tread with CAUTION!!). I was pleasantly surprised that the flour tortilla shells were lightly fried with cheese on the outside - That was somethin' different! Zubi's is the smaller side, but not a phone booth and seems to work just fine for their traffic. The music possibly coulda' been just a tad bit lower- volumed, but didn't bother Me in particular and Zubi's is also considered a bar, so you know (Just throwin' that out there, if you might be noise or Hip-Hop sensitive). The aesthetic of the restaurant is really pretty and the vibe of the music was really nice, rarely have I walked into a taco place and heard Afro beats. The service was fine considering we did take out but the wait was a little long considering no one else was there when we arrived. The birria tacos were just okay in my opinion and the Burria sauce was really thick for some reason so I wasn't the biggest fan. The tacos were EXTREMELY expensive! All the tacos on the menu were like $5+ for an individual taco! The place and vibe were cute but I can't get behind the prices. Even a Corona beer was like $7! First off, yay for a black-owned taco spot! Stopped by for a quick lunch, place is clean. This is a pick up and go kinda of place, although they do have a table near the entrance and picnic tables outside. I had the Zubi's (jerk), Westside (salmon), The Yard (chicken) and a side of the elotes. The toppings on the tacos were very fresh, the seasoning was there but left me wanting more of a balance on the flavor. The jerk wasn't the traditional Jamaican jerk I was hoping for, more on the sweeter side, heavy on the clove flavor. The elotes was the highlight for me, I thought is was very cool how they serve it in a plastic cup. They also have a loyalty card and beer available. So just warning you to call ahead and place an order. If you go there, everything is made fresh on the spot so it takes 20-30 minutes to get your order. But it's worth it! When I tell you I've never thought I'm my life a cauliflower taco would taste better than real meat, but it did! All my tacos were good.
