This is a good local spot in Hapeville if you need a quick meal when you're near the airport. The staff were very friendly and I enjoyed sitting on the patio outside. Unfortunately, my burger was lacking some flavor and my fries were limp.

Service here is always great. They were able to accommodate our group of 6, and all our food came out hot and tasty. The drinks were good. We didn't have any specialty drinks, so I definitely would like to come back and try some of them before the holidays are done.

JAN 2025 Do not come to Monday trivia. The new guy won't stop talking and he's awful. Other than that the food is pretty good. Service is good. Monday night trivia is so bad.

Limited parking in front of restaurant with street parking on street beside restaurant. Indoor and outside seating with indoor being mainly bar seating. Staff are friendly but service started slow and picked up. Tables were kept clean. Food was pretty good. A good place for local Main St. vibe for food and drinks.

Chris is awesime! Hella cool and he's been here for ages. Quick and efficient service. We self seated and he brought over menus and took our drink order. This is a local spot and they have indoor and patio seating with tvs to watch the games. Food is always good with nice portions. Good selection of salads, sandwiches burgers and quick bites.

Brake Pad has been a community staple for decades, and for good reason. I've consistently had great service and good food. The atmosphere is always friendly, and everything is made fresh to order. Corey, Heather, and Regina are amazing. They make every visit feel special.

College Park was a nice spot for a lunch stop before returning my hire car and flying home. With a couple popular restaurants, parking took some time as the front car park was full as well as the neighbourhood streets. Service was friendly and prompt. I chose the Cali BLT (as a wrap) with tots and iced tea.

Food was tasty. Service was friendly but painfully slow. Stopped here for a bite before a flight out. We had plenty of time to kill, so it wasn't an issue. If we had been in a hurry, though, we likely would have had to leave with empty stomachs because it just took too long. Too long to get menus, too long to order, too long to get the food, and too long before the server came around again to find out we wanted the check. We were there more than two hours and didn't even order appetizers, dessert, or drinks. I ordered the steak tacos, which had good flavor. My daughter ordered the mac and cheese with fries and had no complaints. My friend ordered a hummus wrap with tater tots. She specifically asked for no onions and the wrap came with onions, so she sent it back and got a new one without onions. The food was all pretty good. Aside from the mixup, everyone enjoyed their food. If you aren't in a hurry, this can be a good experience, but if slow service is a deal breaker for you, then you may want to look elsewhere.

My family and I are in Atlanta every other year for the Peachtree Road Race. We always stay in College Park since it's convenient to the airport and MARTA train. We've passed Brake Pad many times, but we finally stopped in this summer. There was a little bit of a line, but we were seated pretty quickly. The room in the front can take advantage of the nice weather since it's surrounded by glass garage doors. It started raining while we were there, so thankfully they are also easy to close. The chicken egg rolls are not to be overlooked. The burger and patty melt were great. We will definitely be back next time we're in town.

Stopped by today for lunch. It's in a great location in the College Park area. I can say parking situation is kinda crap but if you luck up with front or side street park it's the best. The food options are good options. We tried the chicken buffalo egg rolls and they were definitely spicy but good. I tried the Cuban and it was great. Their take on the Cuban but a good one. I liked the sauce they served with it. The tots were fried to perfection. Also tried the burger and it was cooked perfectly to the temp asked. Drink was good as well. I would stop here again when in the area. The server we had was awesome as well!

Sunday afternoon around 12 ish. The restaurant was busy and i was able to get a table inside for party of 1. I ordered 6 Lemon pepper wings with Fries. The food was delicious. Everything came out hot, crispy and fresh. Today was my first time eating at Brake Pad. I'm new to the area. I was not disappointed.

My friend searched for a local restaurant with good reviews and found Thumbs Up. It was the right choice! The building is older, but the interior is nice, well kept and clean. Everything was delicious. I ordered a Build Your Own Omelette with grits (not pictured) and whole grain biscuit. Whole grain biscuit? I had never heard of such a thing. It was great, especially with the strawberry jam that accompanied it. The two other guys with me raved about their food, especially the perfectly seasoned Chicken Tenders. The grits were on point. The service was excellent and the lady who took care of us was friendly. Thumbs Up is definitely worth giving an opportunity.

It also came with a small shrimp and grits - a bit of spicy broth with shrimp and smooth grits. * Kiss my Grits - The bowl of the smoothest cheese grits with the best chopped chicken sausage I've ever had. The portions were generous and I had leftovers to eat the next day.

Our party consisted of six people, and as you can see from the photos, everyone ordered something different no two dishes were the same. We started with the Craft Mimosa. Our first flavor was watermelon, which is shown in the photo. It was very good and had a strong watermelon flavor. The second flavor we tried was passion fruit, which wasn't my favorite. For a table appetizer, we chose the macaroni balls. They were fried to perfection on the outside, but unfortunately, when I bit into mine, it was cold on the inside, which was a bit disappointing. For my entrée, I ordered the Foul Play (chicken and waffles). I asked for the toppings on the side just in case I didn't like them. The waffle was delicious and didn't even need syrup. The chicken breast was fried well and paired nicely with the waffle. Overall, even though the dish was simple, it was a great choice. Our waitress was very nice and informative. She explained the most popular and top-ordered items, which really helped with our selections. Inside decor was pretty. There was also a bar if solo diner will like to sit there. Will I return? The negatives while we were sat quickly but it took a while for someone to take our order about 2 minutes which is too long. The server was not very happy to be at work, they weren't rude but also not just . We had a small mix up with our food as a side of spinach was put on the wrong plate which wouldn't have been an issue but we weren't all family so sharing after an item was eaten no one wanted to share. Lastly, we asked for a box and had to get it ourselves. Would I go back? Yes! I know this reviews seems harsh but overall it was a good experience.

We had to make a decision quickly when we were pivoting, and when we came across the great reviews and photos of the food. we didn't think twice about checking to see if we could make it happen. When we arrived, the staff was already preparing our table, so we only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. The space is pretty tight, and you're going to be close to the tables near you, but we were able to sit comfortably. Our server came over quickly to take our drink orders, and afterward she came back to answer any questions. Most of the food was ready at the same time. We appreciated that it came out as it was ready and wasn't left sitting. And everyone enjoyed the food! The only "complaint" one of my friends had was that she thought there was a little too much sauce in her shrimp and grits dish. She felt that the sauce, while it tasted great, overpowered the dish and she would've liked to taste more of the grits flavor. All in all, I'd say we'll likely be back to try something else on the menu.

Title: Flavor Explosion, Soulful Hospitality & a Last-Minute Meal That Turned Magical…read more Let me just say this: what started as a "quick bite before closing" turned into one of the most memorable dining experiences I've had in a long time. We arrived at The Poach Social about 20 minutes before closing, unsure if we'd be rushed--but instead, we were welcomed with warmth and ease. Lived the ambiance. Hunter, our server, was incredibly sweet, attentive, and knowledgeable. She made us feel taken care of from the very start. Then came Victor, the owner and chef--and this is where things shifted from good to special. Without us even asking, he recommended a mocktail that felt like it was made just for me: a sorrel-based drink layered with ginger, spice, herbs, and fresh fruit. It was refreshing, balanced, and honestly one of the best non-alcoholic drinks I've had. We started with the jerk egg rolls... and I'm not exaggerating when I say we were clapping after the first bite. Crispy, juicy, flavorful, with a sweet-spicy sauce that just worked. We immediately knew we'd be taking more to go. For the main course, we ordered the Poach Social breakfast plate and the blackened salmon with polenta. The breakfast plate was comforting and well-executed, but the salmon dish? Absolutely unforgettable. Perfectly seasoned, melt-in-your-mouth texture, with creamy polenta and a rich sauce that brought everything together. It was a full-on flavor experience. The timing of everything--from drinks to apps to entrées--was seamless. Hunter checked in at the perfect moments, never too much, never too little. We ended up in a lovely conversation with Victor, who is not only talented but genuinely kind and passionate. He brought us complimentary slices of carrot cake, and even though we were already full... we ate every bite. No regrets. It was phenomenal. What I loved most is that this place doesn't just serve food--it creates an experience. There's intention, care, and heart behind everything. If you're in Atlanta, do yourself a favor and go. This place deserves to thrive. We will absolutely be back.

When I walked in I was greeted by a staff member and seated immediately. Shortly after I was seated my wait staff came over and introduced herself. Most don't know how to make real Mac & cheese ( if you know what I mean)! She told me it was pretty solid. - As such I ordered the following: Crab bisque Smoked chicken wing plate served with two sides: Mac & cheeses and asparagus were my picks! The crab bisque did take a long time to come out. It was so delayed that my main course came out shortly after the soup. It was not ideal, but I made it work! The crab bisque was solid. I would order it again. The wing plate also exceeded my expectations! I was impressed with the mac and cheese. The asparagus were large, which was concerning to me! Like how did they get so big? Steroids? Nonetheless, they were cooked to perfection! I did get the banana pudding to go- this was the only item I would not order again! It was basic and I only took a few bites and ended up trashing it . Overall I would reconned this spot! Service was spot on- and for a hotel restaurant the food is pretty good!

Steak fries accompanied it, love that cut the best. The buffalo wings were super huge! We were like wtf, lol. But thatsa good thing of course. Now the cheese pizza we ordered for my daughter looked so sad. Looked like a supersized version of the little pizzas you make with a Lunchable. I was not impressed. $16 for that!
