The line moves pretty efficiently even when pretty busy. Parking can sometimes be a pain during busy hours and you have to wait for a parking space or park down the street to walk back. I do not mind if it takes more time; however, when I walked in I told them my name and what I was waiting for. They say to me, "it should be up". They stood around for a while and socialized, then one guy goes to make something. He eventually gets it done, it takes him 15 mins from the time it was promised, he then takes it, put it in the fridge with a receipt oh the lid and says nothing. I keep waiting. Eventually I ask again about my smoothie and she gets the one out of the fridge. Mind you it's now melted and also DOES NOT taste like coffee at all; however I watched him not make the smoothie well and not put much coffee in the cup at all. It tastes like a banana smoothie. While visiting Atlanta last week my friends brought me to Upbeet and I had no idea what to expect. The menu was quite overwhelming but the line was long enough for me to settle on the Aloha Bowl minus the scallions - see below . (Copied from menu) organic bamboo rice, organic mango, fresh organic jalapeños, scallions, avocado, toasted organic coconut, crushed macadamia nuts and housemade ginger miso dressing with MSC certified tuna poké - this bowl was LEGIT!! Everything tasted so fresh and the mango was sweet and not overly ripe. The jalapeños were hot and spicy but did not overpower the other flavors in the bowl. The tuna poke was not fishy and the ginger miso dressing made me want to lick the bowl!! I ended up getting the ginger cayenne lemonade - it was a perfect blend of sweet and spice. It is hard to believe that there were no quality salad spots in Atlanta before Upbeet, so it was no surprise the people have been flocking here for quick and healthy meals since the day they opened. I have tried branching out from the Thai Cashew Grain bowl (and also tried recreating it at home), but there is something special about this one, that keeps me craving it day after day. I was very happy with the salad I created that was topped with an abundance of freshness from the garden & my accompanying Cayenne Ginger Lemonade. My only complaint is that one of the employee's with extremely long, black hair, was not wearing a hair net. She kept moving her hair out of her face, pulling strands of hair off her arm, all the while not changing her gloves & preparing customer's orders. We specifically asked for someone else to prepare our orders simultaneously, which Rafael did so & with a friendly smile. ATTENTION MANAGEMENT: all employees with hair coming out of their hats needs to wear hair nets, no exceptions. You can't boast a clean ingredient environment & not hold your team's appearance/hygiene to the same standard. To move the foodie needle a little further, make it mandatory to swap out gloves when handling veggie vs meat orders & keep the food station neat as there were too many ingredients swimming in other containers. came here on a friday night and it was quite busy! upbeet has always caught my eye with their organic/clean ingredients since i try to primarily eat gluten-free and dairy-free. //environment// upbeet is located in the howell mill area. when you enter, there is a lot of indoor seating and a line that wraps around the ordering area (chipotle style). inside is pretty dim with lighting. there are also outdoor tables. we came at around 7pm on a friday--the line was really long, i think it took maybe 20-30 minutes. there's an option to order online ahead of time. uber eats and doordash seemed pretty popular too. //food// they have a collection of grain and green bowls. they all sounded so good and i was tempted to try one, but i decided to build my own bowl for customizability my order: - curly kale and fordbidden rice (its a black/purple rice) - roasted sweet potatoes (good but cold/not fresh), mango, shredded carrots, edamame beans - agave sriracha tofu (it was really good, but cold/not fresh..) - spicy peanut dressing - crushed macademia nuts i thought my food tasted really good! they mix your bowl while you're there so it's easier to eat. my only wish is that you could pick more ingredients since you get 4 fruits/vegetables and any protein costs extra, but that's understandable for the build your own bowl option. the pre-made bowls seem to have a bit more in them for the price. also since the ingredients are sitting there, they may not be the most fresh. portions would good, i had leftovers i definitely would come back! read more

Came here twice; once for breakfast and once for lunch. I like the vibes here; it reminds me of SoCal, where I'm from. Health and clean food, but a bit pricey. The berry green smoothie bowl I had was yummy but there was way too much granola in it; like it was mixed in and I tasted it in every bite which made my bowl overly sweet. You can pay extra for gluten-free granola which I did. I tried the coconut kale salad but with arugula instead of kale. There was way too much chicken in comparison to the salad/other ingredients. And the same went for my uncle's salad. There were more shrimp than he could eat and not enough greens. I mean I guess you're getting your money's worth with more protein? I got the Aloha Bowl (bamboo rice, wild-caught tuna poke, mango, jalapeños, scallions, avocado, toasted coconut, macadamia nuts, and housemade ginger miso dressing). I also added some vegetables/greens on top of it because I was feeling extra healthy. It actually went together really well. The bowl was super tasty. The ginger miso dressing was delicious as well as whatever the tuna poke was marinated in! The tuna was fresh and marinated well. The scallions and avocado complemented it very well. The macadamia nuts also added a nice crunch. I would definitely recommend this bowl. It's a pretty nice portion as well. However, even being a pretty large portion, $13.45 seems kind of steep since there's not too much tuna in it. Adding in a $1 extra of greens and a small tip, my total was about $16. I only got water, no drink. So $13.45 or $16 total for a bowl is really hefty and is reminiscent more of a NYC/LA price. I do understand however since they only use really fresh and natural ingredients! This just is more of a splurge. You order at the end of the line. There are several set bowls to choose from and they all sound great. You can also build your own bowl! The line moves until the register and you can pick to sit wherever. Gah I love this place. I need one of them on each block in Atlanta. Unfortunately it's a 15 minute drive when there is no traffic but I'm always still willing to make the trek when craving a smoothie. I haven't tried the bowls yet but they look incredible. The line for the bowls and the smoothies are separate and the one for a bowl is most always going out the door (hence my smoothie obsession). The employees are super kind and helpful. was looking for some healthy options during a work weekend and stumbled upon this place on ubereats. This review is based off delivery and not a dine-in or takeout experience! I think the food traveled really well. I decided to do the "create your own bowl" option and they have such a wide selection of just everything. - base: I had the arugula and bamboo rice (which I haven't heard of before but it's basically a fluffy small grained rice that I thought was really good) - mains: variety of cold and hot veggies, you can add proteins for extra. I got the brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, and added some of the sriracha tofu. The brussel sprouts aren't crispy and toasted but more oven baked and packed with lots of flavor. The tofu was good as well, chewier than I thought it would be but the sauce helped. - toppings: I added pumpkin seeds, edamame and sweet corn - sauce: you get one sauce and can add more for extra charge. It's hard to choose between them, eventually I narrowed down to 2 and just got both: the toasted sesame and spicy peanut. Honestly I think the sauces were just ok, I probably wouldn't get again. It was a bit greasy. Maybe would opt for the creamier ones next time. Overall, food traveled well. Other than the sauces the bowl itself was very good and filling! On the last days of the Daniel Fast and I was tired of cooking everything myself. I needed a vegan option that was sugar free, bad oils free, non-processed but tasty. I decided to try UpBeet because their menu boasted of mostly organic, gluten free and some soy free options. I also didnt want to wear real clothes or make up but have the option to sit in public and eat. (ya know, get some people energy without interacting directly) Anyway I had the chinese take out bowl with forbidden rice and a detox smoothie. Surprisingly extremely tasty and filling. I dont know what they do to this tofu but it was so damn good I started questioning if it was accidentally chicken instead! The smoothie was the perfect consistently of thick yet straw suckable. It's in an inner suburban area with plenty of parking, and it has a large and well-kept dining area so not just a takeout place at all. The breakfast I ordered included a smoothie bowl and a toast. Whatever hazelnut spread they use on the toast, I assume it's not Nutella and it tastes better than Nutella, which frankly is saying something. Between that and the bowl, I also got a reasonable quantity of whole fruit to match out the more indulgent sugary smoothie. What I'd really like to try is the grain bowls for lunch, which had a large variety of vegetarian/vegan protein options. I waited over 20 minutes after I had already had my salad. I had to go to the counter as many of the people who ordered received their bowls and drinks as they walked through the line to order. I had to go up there when I noticed the people getting both items and they weren't ordered prior. This place is good, so the line is usually pretty long; the owners could hire more people. The last few times I've been, it seemed like there were only a few people working. Their ingredients are fresh and I believe their produce is organic. You can practically put whatever you want in your bowl. Because there are so many options, they are also vegan friendly. I think they have enough options for those who are vegan, as well as vegetarian. I like the fact that I can have a filling, satisfying, and healthy meal all at the same time. I also think the staff was very friendly. The guy who did my bowl was super nice and that is a plus for me. It definitely adds to the experience when there's great customer service. Another cool thing I noticed was in the restrooms. They are eco friendly and I believe solar panels in some way in their. I just can't remember exactly lol. The restarting as a whole is eco friendly through the use of compostable cups and to go containers, along with recycling and composting everything in their restarting. First time customer, will return. Who knew salads could actually be good? I've been doing salad all wrong. It's a good thing they're pricey or I'd eat here frequently. A very modern looking establishment, aka, boring, flat, utilitarian, cafeteria style. Decent size parking lot which is saying a lot in Atlanta. I like "build a bowl" spots. It's great for picky eaters, you just put exactly what you want in them. And that's exactly what I did. Romaine and arugula base with cucumbers, spicy chickpeas, tofu in a Sriracha and agave sauce, chives, red pepper flakes tossed together. Since it was my first time,I asked the kind young lady fixing my bowl for a recommendation. She said the peanut dressing (I'm sure there was more to it but I've forgotten everything but peanut) would go nice with it. I put it on the side. Tasted it first and she was right. Lots of natural light. How it works: very much other assembly-line style restaurants that are so popular (Chipotle, Subway, etc).. you start at the beginning with a base salad or grain and add toppings as you move along. You end with a dressing or sauce. You can also order pre-fixed bowls with hippy dippy names such as the "pesto manifesto", smoothies, smoothie bowls, and superfood lattes. Taste: I order the pre-made "spin class" green bowl and holy cow it's GOOD. The ingredients are fresh, tasty, and the combo of flavors is amazing. Think fresh goat cheese, crunchy pistachio, crisp greens, etc. They actually don't have this on the menu anymore but you can still order it from anyone who worked there long enough to remember it. My partner has ordered the "curry up" and had rave reviews. Also, they give you like a POUND of food i swear. So you can split this into 2 meals or share one if possible. Cons: This place is expensive. 2 bowls and 2 fountain drinks, with a small $3 tip cost is $40 wow. It's up to you if you wanna spend this on salad or on a plated food experience with actual silverware. Verdict: Once in a while, this splurge is worth it.
