I usually get the special pho, but recently I tried their short rib pho and it was sooo good! I HIGHLY recommend it! The meat fell right off the bone! It was so tender! The broth was very flavorful as always and the garnishes were very fresh. The quality of their food here is so good and I can't help recommending this place enough! Lately it seems the owner has had to cut his employees hours due to it not being busy enough. But he continues to provide great food and service by manning both the front of house and kitchen- which is hard for anyone to juggle alone, so be patient if you're waiting just a little longer than usual. It's very sad to see this place not get enough recognition or customers because of the location. People are too quick to judge due to the fact that it seems like food court food. This was my first visit to unphogettable and I will say it felt a little strange walking into the mall around 7 PM. On the way to pick up my order, I debated whether getting a Thai tea that was not part of the original order. When I arrived, I believe I met the owner and he was the one to hand me my order. When I ordered my drink, I handed him my card to pay and he said it was on the house and thanked me for my business. SO SWEET. And for that, I WILL be back. Additionally, the broth was SOO flavorable! It's been so difficult finding pho places with a good base around Sac and I can definitely say this broth is it! The only critic I would have is that I didn't have basil or bean sprouts but it's nothing I can't buy from a store to supplement, and a few more pieces of meat would make it the perfect bowl :) read more

Always heard about this pho place at the mall. Decided to finally try it! I got the rare steak pho. It was delicious but i think this is the first time I've experienced it differently? First, most places i've had pho at would have the rare steak sliced while this place served the rare steak in like chunks. It was definitely a new experience. Second, usually there is a side plate of veggies with basil, bean sprouts, lime/lemon, and jalapenos. Here, they put the bean sprouts already IN your soup rather than on the side. Personally, I didn't really like that like I'd rather do it myself or at least wish i was asked first. But i also understand why they might do that perhaps to prevent waste. Came by for lunch on Monday after craving some pho. And the broth from this place was a very clean and did not taste like they had added in msg. It was perfect for a quick lunch during work hours. Came with a friend for dinner. This part of the mall is detached from the rest and feels a little bit lonely, but has tons of open seating and is not too loud. There was no line and we ordered right away. Even though it's a food court, the staff were friendly and brought our meals out to us without too much wait. I was pleasantly surprised as how flavorful the broth was; it was rich without being too salty or meaty. Yum! Well not sure how i feel about the fact that they heated up their meat from yesterday. This is a small storefront inside a food court. Has that cafeteria vibe. Very delicious, the broth is very flavoral. The soup wasn't overpowered with cloves or star Anise like other places. I ate and drank all the soup. Went during the lunch hour. Got the special pho and shrimp spring rolls. It was super good and it was nice to hear from the owner that they dont put msg in the pho which makes it taste more natural. I felt very refreshed after my meal and not only was the food flavorful, it felt like it was made from the heart. This is located in an abandoned food court so it is easy to miss as there are no signs of the name outside of the building- I actually only found out about it when I went to pier 50 sushi buffet right next door. Definitely an underrated restaurant- like the other reviewers say dont let the food court style location fool you in judging the quality of the food! I was not used to the environment at first with it being a huge open space with a lot of empty businesses- but after settling in with the good food, it started to feel cozy and feel like Id be able to have a study session there with some headphones. Stumbled upon this establishment when looking for a place that served banh mi at a reasonable price. Caught me off guard because I didn't realize it was inside a section of Arden Mall. I'll have to say i really enjoyed their banh mi so I came a second time the next week to order another banh mi and their pho tai. Although the service was a bit slow the first time (they just got back from lunch), the 2nd time around they were very promptly, quick and friendly. UnPHOgettable really hit the spot! I grabbed a banh mi (the Vietnamese special) and a beef rice bowl, and both were super good. The banh mi had the perfect crunch with fresh veggies and meat, and the flavors were just right I did add some hot sauce to give it some heat, not too salty or too sweet. The beef bowl was solid too good portion, tender beef, and tasty sauce over rice. It's a small food court spot, but the service was fast and the people were nice. It's inside the market square somewhat like a food court. Ordered a pho and a vermicelli noodle plate. The pho came in a bowl which was perfect for us eating in the car. The broth was tasty but was not hot enough to cook the rare beef that was in the bowl. Wish they would've put the raw meat in a little separate bag on the side like other places. I poured in the soup base without thinking about it and the whole soup pink-ish. I deemed it not safe for my sensitive belly. Wish I would've thought of it before. The combo vermicelli was delicious. Came here with my family for lunch today, and it was a great experience! The owners were so friendly, and they even gave us complimentary fruit tea. This place is tucked away into a farther part of Arden Fair Mall, so there's not a lot of foot traffic. Pho was great -- lots of fresh herbs, and the broth was spot on. I would recommend getting the special combo pho instead of something like oxtail pho if you want to get the most meat to noodle ratio. The bun thit nuong (rice noodles) were also good, but I wish it came with a bit more fish sauce. The grilled pork in the noodles was super flavorful though. Unphogettable proved me it worth eating at the seafood pho I had was rich in flavor I did not add anything to my pho. No hoisin, No sriracha, No lemon nothing! I just ate the pho how it was.
