Great portions for the price. Would recommend for anyone trying to satisfy a pho craving. Very flavorful broth and definitely one of my go to's when I am in the area.

Our party of 2 came over for lunch at around 11 am on a Saturday. There was a good amount of seating and it was pretty spacious which gave us privacy to talk. Our orders came out quickly as well, around 10 minutes after placing them. Pho City Special Beef Noodle Soup - One of the most rich flavored soups I've had. It was so comforting and had such a depth of meat, savory flavor. I opted for the rice noodles which were chewy and went well with the soup. The variety of meats were all very soft, the only struggle was eating the tougher tripe. Overall, I enjoyed the depth and richness of the broth and would definitely come back for their pho dishes again.

I've tried so many different pho places, and a fellow Yelp Eliter led me to Pho City. I'm so glad they did. This is hands-down my favorite pho in the entire Sacramento region. The broth is incredibly rich without being heavy, perfectly balanced, and clearly made with care. The noodles come out with just the right amount of chew, and the meat is always tender and generously portioned. It isn't gamey. Even the simple things fresh Thai basil, crisp bean sprouts, bright lime show they pay attention to quality. Service is consistently warm and quick, and the staff are friendly. The space is clean, welcoming, and perfect for either a quick lunch or a comforting dinner.

This is my go-to spot when I'm craving either a bowl of pho or want a rice plate. I personally always order the Number 1 Pho City Special. The broth is always flavorful and I absolutely love the amount of protein that they give with each bowl. The no.1 special comes with different types of meat for those protein lovers. The condiments are conveniently on the side of each table with little sauce bowls/plates where you can make your dipping sauce for the meat (see my 1st photo). I am almost always seated nearly right away unless it is super busy, then maybe a few minutes wait. I would say the vibe is chill or relaxed and just feels cozy. There is also a fish tank for everyone to go look at (my niece loves going to see it). The charbroiled pork chop plate is a must if you aren't big into noodles. Pho City is my favorite and hopefully will always be.

Still as good as it was the first time I was here years ago. The service is excellent. We were checked on throughout. The pho broth tasted so fresh. I love that they have different types of noodles to choose from for the pho. There's lots of parking outside and lots of indoor seating. They're able to accommodate larger parties as well. This was not our first time here and won't be our last.

Pho City is my favorite pho spot in all of Sacramento! I've been coming here consistently for years now and it does not disappoint! Came here with my friend this past Saturday morning and it was busy, but still had some smaller tables open, since their restaurant is quite large. I was seated quickly by the nice lady working at the front and menus were handed out immediately. After taking few minutes to look, a server came by to take our orders and was very pleasant. I ordered a medium #9, which is the beef pho with rare steak and well done brisket. This is my go to order, as I'm not a fan of the tendon, tripe and beef balls. The food came out quickly like it usually does, and we only waited 5-8 minutes! I haven't ordered a medium in a very long time, and it seemed rather small to me. However, I always order a large so I've gotten used to that size. As for the food itself, the broth was flavorful as it usually is, and wasn't cloudy from the starch of the noodles. This means they cook the noodles in a separate pot before putting it in your bowl. The beef, however, was a little tougher this day and I wasn't a big fan of that. I've only had a very few visits here where the meat wasn't tender, and that does change your experience of the meal unfortunately. I would still come back to Pho City any day and I would recommend their pho to anyone who hasn't been there yet! I'd also recommend their Bun Bo Hue, or the spicy beef noodle if you want to try something different!

Pho City is my go-to spot for a no-frills, bang-for-your-buck type of meal. Service is as expected for a family-run restaurant, and the staff seem to know me already as I've been there a good handful of times. I pretty much always know what I'm ordering, but if you're new here, they do ask you pretty quickly what you want to eat, so be prepared. Seating is your standard Vietnamese spot, with both small and large tables. Ambiance seems to somehow always be chill when I've gone, even during the lunch rush. The pho is solid. I always get the #1 medium and it comes packed with plenty of tender meat and perfectly-cooked noodles. The broth, while simple, is still flavorful. Portion size for the medium is definitely satisfying for me, and the price point is hard to beat. I've also tried their BBH and that's pretty good as well. It comes with a few cubes of pork blood too, which I enjoy (I know that's an acquired taste for some). There are a good number of pieces of cha as well, and of course tender beef. It doesn't come with a pork knuckle, but at least the flavors are on point. I haven't had an issue with the noodles being overcooked, which I've experienced in the past with some other restaurants that serve BBH. I've brought my husband to try their beef stew with bread, and he said it was definitely one of his favorite versions he's had. The baguette they provide is a really nice size, and the beef itself is tender and savory. They even serve it with a side of lime, salt and pepper, which is classic for this dish. I ordered their Thai tea once and I love that I came unmixed, with the beautiful dark hue of the tea underneath. It was pretty strong, which is how I like my Thai tea. Pho City definitely holds its own as one of my favorite places in south Sac for pho, and I see myself continuing to support this family-run restaurant!

Quick pho lunch run! Got the #2 beef pho option. Was seated very promptly and food came out super fast. The vibe is definitely a busy family run resturant.

I walked in on New Year's Eve to place a takeout order since they were one of the few Vietnamese places serving pho that were open. I ordered the medium-sized pho special and tofu spring rolls. While waiting, I sat and observed the restaurant and it seemed really nice and peaceful inside. The staff were very attentive, constantly keeping tables clean and condiments refreshed, which is always a great sign. I didn't wait long for the pho. I reheated it at home on the stove, and the medium size ended up yielding 3 meals for me, which is kind of insane. There was a generous amount of meat and a huge pile of noodles, plus all the fresh veggies you expect with pho: basil, green onions, white onion, lime, jalapeños, and bean sprouts, along with hoisin and sriracha packets. Overall, I thought the pho was very good and the portion to price ratio was on point. I've had slightly richer, deeper broths before, this one felt a bit thinner, but it still had a really delicious flavor. The spring rolls were also very yummy and fresh tasting with the delicious peanut sauce. This is great value pho, and I'd definitely love to come back to dine in and try more Vietnamese dishes since their menu looks great.

Pho City is not located in the SF Market plaza in case you thought it might be. It's in a smaller lot mini mall compared to the big SF market plaza. Parking is easy to find. Service was great. We weren't sure what to get so we asked the server, and he very patiently answered our questions and checked on us often while we finished our lunch. We tried 4 different dishes. All were served piping hot which we loved and appreciated. Our only issue was there was a bit of lack of flavor. The broth was clean, and was a nice hot broth, but the flavor was not what we had thought. We ordered the BBH(Bun Bo Hue - spicy pho), Bun Rieu(tomato crab, Pho Ga(chicken)and the Duck Noodle Soup. I would say the best of the 4 was the Pho Ga. There was a really delicious dipping sauce served with it, and that made it even better. Would be curious to try their other dishes as well, and give them another shot.

In the area my honey loves the house fried rice so I ordered it for pickup. It is very good. Decided to order blended mocha with half the sweetener or pumps for the mocha flavor. So freakin good. Don't know the calories but don't care. Topped with whipped cream and cherry on top. Starbucks frap has nothing on this.

A friend recommended this restaurant, and I am so impressed by Pho City. I had the Pho Dac Biet, which came with beef noodle soup, rare steak, beef meatball, brisket, flank, tendon, and tripe. You can choose your noodles among rice noodles, fresh noodles, clear noodles, and egg noodles. I chose the fresh noodles. The portion was quite large, and the flavor was really great. The broth was rich and excellent. noodles We also ordered the Grilled Pork & Shrimp Spring Rolls and the Vietnamese iced coffee. Their spring rolls tasted amazing, it was my first time having a grilled pork and shrimp roll combo. The Iced coffee was delicious as well! What was best of all was that I didn't have any urge to drink water after having their pho, which was a huge plus!

Pho City is one of my go to spot for pho in Sacramento. Their portions are huge and it comes with a lot of meat. The broth is super flavorful and doesn't need sauces. Their bowls are huge so I recommend going directly to se their sizes before ordering. Looking from afar, they look smaller than they actually are. My boyfriend eats a lot but could hardly finished a large size. Their Vietnamese ice coffee was also very good, wasn't overly sweet. Service is super quick and friendly. You pay at the register after you are done.
