I took my sister here for lunch the other day. We were their first customers of the day and ended up ordering about half the menu so we could try a variety of dishes. Unfortunately, the food quality was disappointing. The egg rolls tasted and smelled like they were a few days old, and 2 out of the 5 pieces were burnt. We also ordered pho, including the version with the beef bone. The bone was cold, and the broth itself was only slightly warm instead of hot. The fish sauce wings were okay, but nothing special. The banh mi bread was good but not the rest of the dish. The banh khọt was the highlight of the meal. On top of that, parking is difficult, and the prices are high considering the quality of the food we received. Overall, I don't feel the experience matched the cost. read more

I like Saigon Oi, which is the sister restaurant to Me's kitchen, so knew I wanted to try this eventually. I waited until the crowd died down from their grand opening and I'm glad I did since there was a barely a wait when I went here. They are located across the street from Loehmans plaza by the ice cream parlor shop. Parking is okay. They seem to have decent parking space that is shared with other shops in the plaza, but it was not busy when I went so parking might be harder to find if they are busy. Inside the restaurant, it is really clean and has decent seating and space. I like the decorations here. Service is great. The servers took our order and brought everything out at a decent pace. They brought us everything we asked for and checked in regularly as well. For the food, I got the roasted chicken. Others in my party got the pho, the Bo Ne, which is what they are known for and egg rolls. Everything was great. My roasted chicken did get dry and parts of it was borderline like chicken jerky. The nouc Cham that came with it and the rice helped. It wasn't bad, but the chicken is on the dryer side. The Bo ne is similar to Saigon Oi, so it's still good. The pho I was told was good and hit the spot. It is a bit pricey compared to other shops and even Saigon Oi so I will come here if I cannot make it to the other shops. read more

5/22/26 Me's kitchen grand opened in January 2026 and showcased a couple of dishes that I normally crave to have when I'm too lazy to make it at home. My family have dined at the sister establishment Saigon Oi in south sac without me and shared it was ok so I never made the trek to try it myself. We came by for dinner to meet up with some friends yesterday evening around 6:30. Located with a shared parking lot, Service was welcoming, we were seated immediately at a table for 7 without ressies. Decor was modern and everything looked new still almost 6 months after opening. Menus were left on the table. It was a bit on the higher price side for mediocre Vietnamese food in this area. Noting only my family of (3) orders ...didn't want to intrude on our guests food with our camera eating their food first...LOL $8 SINH TỔ DỪA Coconut slushie Server did say it came topped w/ peanuts and asked if there were allergies which was appreciated. I was told it was OK and very creamy and sweet $8 KHOAI LANG CHIÊN Sweet Potato Fries Tasted ok, served with ketchup. $18 BANH KHỌT Vietnamese Mini Pancakes Came out hot on a sizzling cast iron platter with a basket of 3 lettuce, mint and cilantro and dipping sauce. Tasted ok, a bit too oily for my preference. $23 BÁNH MÌ CHẢO COMBINATION Filet Mignon, Meatball, Pork Roll, Egg. Pate Served with French Bread - server didn't ask us how we liked our meat at all...entree came out with a chunk of oil (that resembled butter) that didn't melt at all. My oldest son questioned his life choices and ate most of everything but this glob in pic $19 GÀ QUAY Vietnamese Roasted Chicken with red white Rice Partner said it was ok, wouldn't come back for it. The last entree that arrived surprisingly to the entire table was a vegetarian tofu entree. We had to inquire as we hoped they didn't forget as everyone at the table received their food and everyone had a meat/protein that couldn't be served raw. Been going to its parent restaurant, Saigon Oi, for a while and wanted to try this place out. The menu is similar with some variation. The inside of here feels larger than Saigon Oi and for weekend lunch there usually a wait to get a seat. The only thing I hate about the location is the parking is just really small and crowded. Food overall is decent, the pho we really liked but the shaken beef with garlic noodle was plain. It came out to about 50 bucks for both which honestly is on the pricey side of Vietnamese food so I wouldn't make this a weekly place to go to. The pho came with soft fresh noodle and I opted for the extra bone rib (3 bucks more) and it's one size. It looks small when I got it but it was filling. I really like the pho broth as it was really savory and did not feel like it was loaded with salt. The meats that came with it were really soft and tender. It comes with a side of vegetables and sauce. The sauce has spices and hoisin sauce mixed together which want for me. I would prefer the sauces to be separated. 4/5 for taste, 2/5 for price. The shaken beef and garlic noodle as I said was bland. It tasted under salted and did not have any of the marinated flavor that you would expect from shaken beef. Although it was tender, the lacking flavor just killed it for me. Usually with shaken beef there's also a side of sauce for it, it either doesn't come with one or they just didn't give us one. The garlic noodle was bland as well. 2/5 for taste and pricing. Overall, decent and would really only come back for the pho if I really wanted expensive pho. Delicious Vietnamese food. The menu is the exact same as Saigon Oi over in South Sac, but the menu here is slightly more expensive (a few dollars) due to the location I'm assuming. We tried the shaking beef with red rice, the deconstructed banh mi, and the shrimp pancakes. For starters, the shrimp pancakes are not worth $18, definitely over hyped by the photos. Would skip and try something else next time. The shaking beef was so juicy and tender, paired with the buttery red rice - I could have eaten another plate of it. The deconstructed banh mi was also delicious, all the components came together nicely. I feel this restaurant is a little on the pricey side, but for the area and kind of food, it was really good. I'd return. The service was not the best, but we did go close to closing time. I never thought I would say that the best Northern California Vietnamese pho would be in Sacromento; I went to university nearby here and the Vietnamese food was quite underwhelming. THIS SPOT IS IT. There's only one pho option on the menu. I came here yesterday as my Jamican find sold out their food in the early evening and while on the way driving here, this caught my eye from the car window. I said Me's Kitchen was our back-up if it didn't work out. Well our first pick didn't work out and we did end up at Me's and nope, I didn't read the reviews and yes, I'm skeptical and open-minded at the same time. If you aren't open to new experiences regardless of past experiences and what your pool of experience has been - you are truly limiting yourself. I asked the staff if a dish I wanted had soy and the waiter asked the kitchen in addition, what other entrees had soy - and made a recommendation which became the only option: pho. And oooooo was I in for a treat, this was hands down the best pho out of the stapled San Jose / Milpitas pho spots. I'm also not a meatball person but whoever their vendor is or if they make their meatballs in-house: IT'S DELICOUS sensational experience: taste, smell, and visual. They did bring me out a sauce dish that included hoison sauce (which typically does have one soy-based ingredient) so I didn't eat that. Walking in the restaurant is beautiful and staff is very friendly and attentive. Seats are comfortable and provide lots of room! My partner and I ordered a Thai tea, tropical fruit black tea, báhn khot, pho, and the bò lúc lac with garlic noodles. The drinks were very good and served in cute glass ware! The black tea had lots of chunks of fruit in it too. The bahn khot appetizer is why we came here in the first place. After seeing all the review pictures we couldn't resist- AND we were not disappointed. They came out sizzling and just as delicious as we imagined. Both of our meals were amazing. The server was very nice to bring extra sauces on request for my pho. My partner had some fresh veggies and lettuce brought to the table to wrap his food in. Portions were generous. Visited on a Sunday for late lunch. There was no wait, got seated right as we were greeted. We got the menu, ordered food, drinks, and water. Right as we got the waters, the whole vibe started to change. My kid's water had ants in it. It's something I felt like it's normal, it can happen, but what made it weird was how the server handled the situation. We asked him to please change the water cas there's ants in it and he simply replied "ok" and took the water. Idk in what world was he in but my kid looked at me and said "that's all he said?" lol not even an "I'm sorry, let me get you another one." But anyways, my kid told me to mention it. So there you go. Hit or miss for us. The pho broth was very greasy. I've never had pho broth this slick with oil. The noodles were thicker than the usual thin pho rice noodles, and the oil seemed to make it difficult to grab onto the noodles with the chopsticks. The meats themselves were fine but there was no tendon or option to add tendon, and that made me quite sad as that's my favorite pho meat. They served the sauces on the side in saucers (not bottles at the table), and that was fine for me, but I'm guessing some folks will want to add different amounts of sauces. We asked for more hoisin for the girls. We appreciated that they charged $4 for a bowl of noodles and broth for the girls. Now for the good things. The space is quite pretty. The fish sauce fried chicken wings were perfectly crispy and tasty. And I really loved the coconut dessert with coconut jellies, meat, and salted roasted peanuts. I would come back just for that for takeout! I've never had peanuts in that dessert but the salty sweet combination was delicious. The parking lot is narrow and small and getting in and out can be stressful depending on how busy it is. Maybe next time we'll try other things on the menu other than pho. read more

Delicious Vietnamese place with a mix of classic dishes, cute ambiance and decor. Went for a birthday lunch and we ordered egg rolls, shrimp pancakes, combo pho, combo bahn mi, filet mignon bahn mi, lemongrass chicken with garlic noodles. Also got the coconut slushy and it was so good, the sweetness balanced out the saltiness of the rest of the food. Portions are huge and we all took leftovers home. I love how the bahn mi's are deconstructed, it makes it seem a little more elevated, and the bread roll was fresh, perfect crunch with soft center! The pho was solid, wasn't the best I ever had but it was great. I couldn't eat the shrimp pancakes but everyone else loved it. Me's Kitchen is from the same people behind Saigon Oi, and it's easily noticeable. From the menu, to the service, to the quality of food, it's basically Saigon Oi's twin. The bánh khọt was the standout for me. Crispy mini pancakes with shrimp, wrapped in lettuce and dipped in the sauce. Crunchy on the outside, softer inside. To be honest, unless someone has allergies, I'd pretty confidently recommend everyone to try it. Food came out hot and even though we had a decent party size, it didn't take too long. Good food and great service. This was definitely one of those "don't judge a book by its cover" experiences. When I first walked in, it felt unlike a traditional Vietnamese restaurant -- very clean with a more upscale atmosphere. I ordered the pho with the beef rib add-on for an extra $3, bringing the total to $22. The bowl initially seemed a bit small, but it ended up being just the right amount of food for me. The broth was flavorful and served at the perfect temperature. The meats -- filet mignon, brisket, and rib -- were all good, though I couldn't really tell if the quality or cuts were noticeably better than what you'd find at other Vietnamese restaurants. I enjoyed the beef overall, but I personally prefer thinner pho noodles. The thicker noodles here tended to break apart easily. That said, the ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was definitely a step above your typical pho spot. What a wonderful authentic restaurant, very friendly staff & delicious food! We frequent local coffee shop and have been wanting to try Me's out for lunch and had the chance to this past week. We asked our server Steven for some recommendations, and everything was so enjoyable. We started with the bánh khot (mini pancakes with shrimp), what a treat! A great mix of flavor and texture. For our entrees, I got the house special phó & my hubby got the bánh mí cháo combination, both enjoyed through the last bite. I'll never eat pho anywhere else again! I went to my normal pho spot and the lady was so rude which I typically deal with because I love Pho that much. But then I remembered seeing Me's on the news. So I made the drive over and WOW! It is clean and beautiful inside. The service was impeccable. We were seated immediately. We had fresh water brought to us as soon as we sat. We ordered the filet Pho and opted for all filet. The broth is literally so perfect. The noodles stole the show. Typically you have that ball that you have to break up but these were thick and soft. The filet was so delicious and easily broke up. We also had the wings that were tasty and crispy. My husband doesn't even like Pho and couldn't stop talking about how good the food was. Which I am so glad we can enjoy this together now. Only downside is parking. If you know the area you know it's always packed. They do have parking in back so look out for that. Tried this newer Vietnamese spot after craving a comforting bowl of chicken pho, but unfortunately they only offer beef pho. I found it on Yelp and decided to still give it a try. I ordered the shrimp appetizer, lemongrass chicken, and a coconut coffee. The coconut coffee was a surprise--instead of a regular drink, it came out as more of a float, so it definitely felt like a dessert! The shrimp appetizer was the standout for me. It was like crispy little corn cakes topped with shrimp, served with fresh herbs, lettuce, and fish sauce. Super flavorful and honestly filling enough to be a full meal on its own. The lemongrass chicken came with rice, lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers. It was okay, but I was expecting a stronger lemongrass flavor--it just didn't quite hit for me. Portions overall were very generous, which I'd expect for the price. My total for an appetizer, entrée, and drink was around $50. The spot itself is cute, but parking can be tough since it's in a busy strip mall with limited spaces. Overall, while I really enjoyed the appetizer, I don't think I'd personally return--mainly due to the distance, parking, and price point. My friend and I came here on Sunday around noon time and were seated right away. As I was walking in, the smell of phở hit me right away so that's what I ended up ordering. They were out of the the ribs so I just got the regular one. We also got the chicken wings as an appetizer while my friend got the bánh mì chảo combination. The food came out all at once, which made it hard to eat the appetizer without letting my bowl sit and get soggy. The chicken wings were crispy on the outside but slightly dry on the inside. I wish there was more fish sauce coating the outside of it but I guess it was good enough. My bowl of phở was delicious. The meat was tender and I got a good variety of it. They use fresh noodles (though I actually prefer the dried ones more) and it was perfectly cooked (though it did get soggier throughout the meal). Service was kind and we were offered water refills often. The small eatery was nice and crowded on a Friday. I went with a friend and had the banh mi bo. I had the banh mi bo, which was a large sandwich ready to be put together. The fillet Mignon was tender and delightful, although in rather large chunks. The entire entree was large and could easily be halved for two. The sauteed beef was good yet I was surprised about the added eggs. Cooked yellow onion was also with the meat. I was disappointed in how little traditional veggies were added to the dish, which was clearly a fusion of an original banh mi sandwich. Pork is more traditional anyways. This was just a tender beef sandwich served at a Vietnamese eatery. The bread was fresh and tasty yet more like classic French bread. It was fun how hands on the dish was since the sandwich was not out together. In summary, this was tasty yet took some work to eat! When I heard that my favorite restaurant in Sac was opening a sister location, I instantly texted my friends and we came here on a cold and rainy night to try a piping hot bowl of their pho, and it absolutely slapped~ It's $2 extra for the rib bone, which is definitely worth adding on for your first time! The broth is rich and layered and the meat is great quality, served with fresh flat rice noodles -- no notes! While there is a good degree of overlap in menu items, the other items unique to this location (besides pho) include: - Bánh mì gà nướng: insanely juicy, tender grilled chicken on a perfectly baked baguette. very generous portions, my only gripe is that i wish it came with the delicious pate from their skillet!! - Bánh mì chão sốt tiêu đen -- their signature banh mi skillet but with a black pepper sauce twist - Shaken beef salad - Garlic noodle options for the shaken beef, fried chicken or rib eye steak - Alcohol bar though not officially open yet! For now it will just be wine and beer as they do not have their cocktail license yet so TBD The customer service here is also top tier, honestly more impressive than the OG location. I accidentally left my box of leftovers behind while yapping away and our server literally tracked us down at the ice cream store next door to return it -- so above and beyond:') Both times that I've visited, the place has been packed almost to full capacity and yet the level of service and food quality have never slipped. Aesthetically you'll notice a lot of similarities to Saigon Oi with the same signature brick wallpaper and communal tables but with slightly more elevated dinner vibes thanks to the bar seating. One big advantage of the Fair Oaks location is that unlike Saigon Oi, it's open for dinner (til 7p) which means you can actually get a hearty bowl of 5-star pho on any day after work instead of having to wait for it to pop up as a weekend special. My husband and I were trying to decide where to go for dinner last night and remembered that Me's Kitchen had just opened a few weeks ago. We arrived around 5:30pm-ish and were greeted and seated immediately. The inside was spacious, bright and inviting. There were small and larger tables available and I loved the table number plaques they had on each. My daughter and I shared the Me's Kitchen Pho, my husband ordered the Filet Mignon in Black Pepper Sauce Banh Mi served with French Bread and we also ordered Egg Rolls to share. My daughter was also very excited to see fresh orange juice on the menu - she is a connoisseur after all. We loved the Pho - it came with 2 huge beef ribs (they offer without for $3 less) that my daughter devoured plus meatballs, brisket and filet mignon - the noodles were thick too which I liked. My husband loved his Banh Mi - the flavor of the sauce and meat were incredible and I liked that you assembled the sandwich yourself. The Egg Rolls were good and crispy, but nothing super special about them. Staff were amazing - they were very friendly and consistently checking in without being too much. They even asked if we had any criticism to give which I thought was pretty cool - we obviously had nothing bad to say. Super excited to have more Vietnamese options near me and not having to drive far for delicious Vietnamese food! When I saw this pop up on Yelp, I knew I had to give this place a try! Prior to reading other Yelp reviews, when the food came out, it reminded me of Saigon Oi and was confirmed by everyone one mentioning it. I am a big fan of Saigon Oi and this place lived up my expectations. It may be a bit more expensive given location, but given the cost/time for me to drive to south sac, it would be easier just to go here especially more space inside and the other location felt smaller/crowded. Definitely more space for those who have kids and strollers. Parking may be a bit harder to find at this location as it is a small parking lot and we had to drive around twice until someone left. This was during lunch time on Friday. Luckily, when I went, there was no line and staff was super friendly and attentive, making sure everything was ok with our meal and checking in on us to ask if we needed anything. There are limited amount of options on the menu, but doesn't take away from the delicious taste and they brought out everything pretty fast. Portion sizes were also pretty big as both my hubby and I could only eat half of our dishes and we also shared! Given this spot being new, they did ask us for our opinion and if there was anything that they could improve on. I do appreciate that as a new business they are willing to make improvements, but honestly we felt there was nothing wrong and enjoyed every part of meal from service to taste! What we ate: 1) Tropical fruit tea with lychee and peach -super refreshing and came with lychee fruit! 2) Crispy fish sauce chicken wings (Canh Ga Chien Nuoc Mam) -they must have listened to the review as one of my friends said this lacked fish sauce flavor, but when I had this dish, it was perfect and could definitely taste the fish sauce. -I actually enjoyed this dish here more than Saigon Oi as it was much juicier, not as dry and dripping in sauce -the way they served it in the basket gave me the hint that this place was somehow connected to Saigon Oi 3) Banh mi Chao combination -the sauce is so flavorful ! -bread was fresh, meat so tender, egg yolk perfectly runny once broken into 4) Bo Luc lac -love having the option to have this with garlic noodles (prefer noodles over rice) -you can definitely tell they used quality garlic and a decent amount since this dish left me with garlic breath and you actually taste the garlic bite which many other garlic noodles don't give -the meat was also so tender and juicy, packed with flavor -it also came with a dipping sauce which I couldn't make out what it was exactly but seemed like a lighter soy sauce mix with fish sauce but better (should have asked), but either way it didn't need the extra sauce cause the meat was so flavorful but it did add a little extra flavor not in the initial sauce. Overall: highly recommend this place! Hopefully they will bring out more dishes on the menu. Though I mentioned I'm more of a noodle person, I do hope they will bring the "Crab meat with salted egg fried rice" to this location since that fried rice was amazing! Came upon Me's Kitchen on Yelp, so my family and I decided to give it a try. Parking is offered in the parking lot and was easy to find on a Sunday evening. The restaurant is really modern. One side you have a exposed brick wall with the name of restaurant in the middle. On the other side you have dark wood shelving with mood lighting in each shelf featuring different Asian decor. When you scan the ceiling, they hung netted or rattan light fixtures that gives it a more boho appeal. Staff were quick and welcoming. We sat at one of the booths and were given a very simple menu. We opted for French fries, egg rolls, shaking beef with red rice, and roasted chicken with red rice. French fries: It reminded us of a unsalted McDonald's French fries. No complaints (10/10) Egg rolls: Judging by the look we thought the wrapper would be too thick, but we were absolutely wrong. The wrapper was fried to golden perfection -thin and crispy. It was filled with vermicelli, perhaps ground pork, carrots, and woodear mushroom. Seasoned really well. (8/10) Shaking beef with red rice: Shaking beef was seasoned, but depending on the bite, some pieces were chewier than the rest. I noticed there was a lack of sauce, which is unfortunate for me because I love sauce with my rice. The red rice was cooked in a tomato broth, perhaps, and it was broken rice, which was a pleasant surprise. However, the rice was very mushy. (8/10) Roasted chicken with red rice: The chicken was roasted until the skin is light and crispy. It was seasoned lightly, and was not dry. Again, the texture of the red rice was the same - mushy and soggy. To me the rice kind of makes or breaks a dish. It is a companion or a vessel for your entree, so it has to be cooked properly in order for the meal to be enjoyable. (7/10) Overall, this is a nice restaurant with pleasant staff and modern ambience. It is very similar to Saigon Oi with a simpler, and familiar selection of Vietnamese food. To be honest, I do prefer Saigon Oi because the food has better consistency. However, this restaurant is new and I'm sure they will make improvements and adjustments along the way. read more

As much as I really wanted to like this place. It is absolutely crazy for a place of business to bring out burnt food and not take accountability for it but only brushed it off by saying," the kitchen must've overcooked it". No shit Sherlock. Brought it up to two different people, none which offered to take it off my tab. Saigon Oi wouldn't have done that. As you can see from the pictures the brisket was way too thick and absolutely no way to eat it. Sadly, Won't be back here again. read more

Now I accept correlation doesn't mean causation but my unwritten rule when I check out new pho spots is to test out the Thai tea. If the Thai tea tastes good, then the probability of the pho being made well is high. I can confirm that the Thai tea at Me's Kitchen is excellent as are the rest of the dishes I ended up trying when visiting this new pho spots. The pho was as good if not better than pho you'll find at Pho Momma or Saigon Alley. The pho had a lot more fat than you usually see in pho soups but that just added depth to the broth and much stronger beef flavor. It's loaded with a huge rib, meatballs, and the usual line up of meats and accoutrements that accompany a bowl of pho. The richness of the broth is what stood out to me at this place compared to others. The warm sweet aroma from the star anise manages to peak through and the earthy, sweet, and beefy flavors combine to make this a contender for the best pho in the area. Not much room for improvement, but I'm hoping the restaurant's strong start results in a long future. read more

This place used to be Heat Shabu, but has since turned into Me's kitchen. Came in around 3pm on a weekday and it wasn't packed with customers so we were tended to promptly. Ordered the steak, chicken and banh khot. All superb options. And each plate was definitely enough to feed 2 people. The banh khot came out came out sizzling hot so beware. The steaks were served medium and they were properly seasoned. Chicken was crisp and hot. I loved the option to choose between white rice, red rice, and garlic noodles. If I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely pop by for a bite. read more

I was excited to find the sister restaurant to Saigon O'i! opened near by. I came here on a quick lunch break, half the tables were available and I was seated immediately. Service was quick and attentive. Menu is different than Saigon O'i!, I noticed more noodle options, but it still had my go to order the Banh Mi Chao. A few bucks more expensive $19 vs $23. Spending near $30 after tax and tip for banh mi can be a bit much in hindsight. Quality was the same and enjoyable. I always try to make it a sandwich and it ends up messy, it probably is a rip and dip situation. Glad to see more Vietnamese food options opening up through out Sacramento! I'm coming back to order the pho when we are deep into soup weather. read more

We came here for late lunch. We ordered the skilled with filet mi, eggs, pate and fresh bread. This came out sizzling, the bread was warm, soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Very rich. We also go the filet mignon with garlic noodles. This for me was cooked medium rare and the texture was soft and easy to chew. It had nice garlic noodles. These dishes were very similar in quality to their sister restaurant Saigon Oi. The pho was also very rich with a beef rib, and other cuts of meat. It was flavorful and nice. Definitely would come here. Parking can be limited in the front so feel free to park in the back. read more

Stopped by for their soft opening. Sister restaurant to the super popular restaurant Saigon Oi on Stockton blvd. I was so excited to see a sister restaurant open closer to my house. Me is supposed to mean mom in Vietnamese, so "mom's kitchen". They definitely live up to the flavors of authentic Vietnamese cooking. The menu is similar to Saigon Oi with some new additions. Not many Vietnamese brunch restaurants in Sacramento and Saigon Oi was definitely the best. Me's kitchen is just as good, flavors are there. Service was great, some hiccups as expected with a soft Opening. Can't wait to be back for the grand opening read more
