I remember when we moved into our current house, back in 2013, thinking, "This house is HUGE! We…read moreshould never need any more space than this has!" ...ohhhh boy, was I wrong. With two growing kids, we come to 2022 OVERFLOWING with...stuff. Although we try to have a couple large spring-clean-donation-purges every year, it still seems we find ourselves needing for more space and storage. Enter...StorTropolis! This is my very first experience with a self storage business, but so far, it has been outstanding! Our key criteria for selecting a space were location, cost, size of space, climate control, and ease of access. This location of StorTropolis had it all! Signing up was extremely easy and quick! They offer month-to-month pricing options (love the flexibility!), and we got a great storage bay that has super easy access! They have large dollies on site for you to use, which is really handy in not having to truck around your own each time you arrive! Maybe my favorite thing is that they have a large, interior loading/unloading dock that you can pull into so that you can use your space any day - no matter the weather!

I signed a lease in February which had a promotional rate of $99 per month. I also brought my own…read moreinsurance so I would not have to pay their crazy high price insurance rates and I declined use of the smart sensors which reduces the monthly charge. Two months into the lease period my monthly rate was doubled and they had been charging me for both insurance and the smart sensors. I can understand the mistakes and errors can occur but the worst part of this is ther is not anybody onsite (Scott) who says that they can help or provide a refund. Scott gave me the name of Ashley who supposedly could help but has kept telling me they are looking into my issues but no refund has been offered yet. To make matters worse the just increased my rate to over $300 6 months in to the lease. I would not recommend Storetropolis especially the Lenexa location. Bad value, awful service

It is Feb. 2022, now. I had left a voice mail and I received a follow up call the next day about having 2 units available. She held it for me since I was first via a voice mail. The place is clean. Never a line. (The New Yorker in me loves this!) The place is easy to get in and out via the gate. You receive a key and a magnetic key for opening the gate. Only once have I had someone come down the lane I was in while dropping off some stuff. I backed out, which wasn't hard. This place is right by Clinton Lake. You can park boats, trailers, campers in addition to different size storage units. If you want easy, affordable and clean, this is your place to go.

All staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I'm a very new owner of a Class A. Going on our first long trip and needed some help with checking air in the tires. Rolled the rig up and Steve had the correct pressure gage, helped me inflate all the low tires by bringing out a compressor and generator. Then checked my house batteries and they needed water and then helped me wash the entire RV along with getting all the black streaks off. Way beyond what is expected. Too bad there are not 6 stars to rate. I feel so much more prepared and there is comfort knowing I'm driving a safe RV. Thank you Steve!!!

We had multiple large items such as a desk, bookcases, a dresser, etc. and they were able to move them into our new house with no damage whatsoever to the house or the items themselves. The prices feel reasonable, I feel safe here, and aside from some rough spots in the pavement, I don't have any complaints. Management has been exceptional. I especially love that I can text with someone. That little convenience alone has made my life easier. One side of the property has been repaved and looks great. Some of the other roads around the units are still a little rough, but I like this place enough that I'm perfectly happy just hoping they get around to fixing those when they can. It's a pretty minor complaint compared to everything they do right. What really makes this place stand out to me are all these little personal touches. The office area is decorated and actually feels welcoming, there are flowers around the property with cute decorative signs. It just feels like somebody genuinely cares about the place.
