She was informed by management that the mold condition did not however affect her unit and it was safe to enter. However, her daughter arrived at the unit today to find items covered in mold. This facility is advertised as climate control. While many of the items may not carry a large monetary value, many have a huge sentimental value (ornaments, handmade items, etc) as irreplaceable items from her mother and sister who have transitioned from this life. The storage unit is not conversing with her and their site (shows a 4.9 rating) scrubs any negative review they receive (they scrubbed my original review when this first happened). So if you are in or around the Olathe area and need storage, stay far away from iStorage.

Then after 3 months they raised my rent by 25%. I asked then if after the increase if the rate would stay the same for one year but they said they could not answer that. I often see the staff sweeping, emptying trash cans, or walking the premises. The lighting is great and the door access control works without issue. Cameras appear to cover every angle and the climate-controlled areas maintain a consistent temperature with no humidity issues. Access is provided through multiple wide doorways with spacious elevators providing access to the upper level. The facility provides various flat moving carts that are conveniently stored just inside the doors. The loading/unloading area is well-lit and very close to the doors. Getting signed up is super easy. The paperwork process is quick and hassle-free with no hidden fees. **Pro Tip: Get your rental started by starting your rental via their website for the best price and to take advantage of their move in special. The pricing is very reasonable and a great value. A clean facility, robust security, and amazing staff--I feel like this is the best storage option in Overland Park!
