Breanna is a lifesaver! I came here after I had by hair bleached at another salon and I ended up looking like a banana. I looked scary and needed my hair fixed before I went to work. I called local salons, and Unity Salon was the only one who would take me in on basically no notice for a consultation. Breanna saw me right away and talked about all my options and since my hair was already fragile and I spent so much much at another salon, she was so nice and fixed my hair for such a great price. Unity Salon is amazing! After searching everywhere I finally found this gem. My hair stylist Breanna is incredible! I have never felt good after a cut and color but after she finished with my hair I was absolutely pleased! I showed her pictures of the color I was going for and not only did she get it right she made it look better than the actual picture! If you want a color job Breanna is your girl. I will keep going back to her. Not only was the stylist amazing but the salon itself was clean and the ladies behind the front desk always made sure you had a magazine in your hand and a beverage. Carmen Costescu from Unity Salon did on-location hair styling for my wedding. She did various up-dos and blow dryings for me, 3 bridesmaids, my mom, my aunt, and the flower girl. She worked fast and did a beautiful job on everyone. I was very impressed with her work on all the girls hair! Carmen is professional and easy to work with. My hair was messed up by my former hair dresser because what I wanted was a reverse ombre (light on my roots dark on my ends) My former hair dresser made the transition between my bleach blonde and my dirty blonde EXTREMELY noticeable. I love this salon. I had been going to Salon 9 for a while, but I was never completely satisfied with my cut and I felt it was over priced for what I was getting. I decided to try Unity since they are just down the street from me and have a good reputation. I made my appointment with Jennifer because the receptionist informed me she was great with short haircuts. I was very pleased when I met Jennifer because she was a joy to talk to and that makes a big difference when you are sitting for a couple hours getting your hair cut and colored. She was able to correct the issue I was having with my previous haircut and I have been greatly impressed with her work. She also helped my 8 year old daughter with her disastrous haircut that her step mother decided to do while she was at her father's for the weekend. The entire staff is friendly, professional and can cut very modern or very conservative. Read all the good reviews about Heather so booked an appointment to get my uneven hair color fixed. I wasn't sure exactly what shade to go with (back to dark or keep light/med brown), she gave her viewpoint and since she said there was no prob evening out the light/med brown without bleach, I decided to keep it light for the rest of summer. She also fixed my bangs and shared useful hair care and styling info/tips without me having to ask :) I am very happy with the results and service. She also cut my husband's hair after she has applied my color and he liked it, which is rare for him since his sister (hairstylist in australia) had been cutting his hair since he was 18 until he moved here 2 years ago, not sure if he will be going back though, he isn't a salon goer type of guy, he is use to his sisters at home service or barber shop style places. I found this salon here on Yelp, made an appointment, went in and Dell was my stylist. She gave my highlights (using two different shades) and a trim. A little pricey even with the discount, but If you go only a couple of times a year, it's worth it. $140 for the cut, color and tip. I am usually pretty picky about my hair, but I didn't have to question anything here. Dell was really nice. I am not usually a social person when I go to the salon, so she was cool about my using my ipod and when I got under the dryer I mentioned that I hadn't eaten breakfast yet. She asked if she could get me anything to eat, I said no, but she came back with donuts anyway. Super sweet. My hair is gorgeous and it didn't take forever. I plan on going back, and you should go there too. If you are used to going to places like Carlton at the mall, this place is about the same. However, I get the feeling that it isn't just another cookie cutter salon. The place was full of customers, and as I looked around I noticed everyone else had great hair as they left. GO! read more

Denise has cut my hair for years, and she's a wonderful stylist, not to mention a wonderful person. Her rates are reasonable, and she works hard to make sure every client is happy with the result. She also recently did my hair for my wedding. Let me say up front that I can bit quite picky about how my hair looks, and on my wedding day I was totally neurotic. Denise not only soothed my nerves, she created exactly the style I wanted and I was thrilled with how it looked (the updo also stayed up the entire night, looking as good at 2am as it had in the late afternoon).
