I'm updating my review from 2024! Same 5-stars but even more so now! At the time of my first review, I had a "regular" nail girl at a different salon (RIP The Nail Shop), I'd had her for 35 years! Well, she retired and now I have settled into a fantastic routine with Mimi at Joshua Christopher, she's the sweetest! My husband and I still get side by side pedicures every other month with Vivian and Mimi too! I love the vibe at this salon, very upscale yet also very comfy and charming. Prices are very compatible and not too over-the-top. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming! I've been coming to Danny for almost a decade. He's a master of his trade and continues to educate himself with techniques and new trends, and his passion is unbeatable. I trust him completely with my hair. He always assures me if I'm not 100 percent happy with the results, I can come back until we get it right. After searching high and low for a good barbershop (which feels nearly impossible these days), we finally found an amazing hairstylist through a referral--and I'm so glad we did. We went to Joshua Hair Christopher Salon and met Martin, and he has been incredible. My son has thick, curly, and coarse hair, and he wanted to shape it into a fro while still keeping his curls defined. Martin not only listened to exactly what we wanted--he actually knows how to cut and manage challenging hair textures. Since then, I've been bringing all three of my boys to him. Their hair looks healthier, is growing faster, and most importantly--they love their haircuts. Vanessa Avalos I have been to three 30 minute and one 60 minute massages with Vanessa now, and she is spectacular! She really knows what she's doing, and checks in with you about the amount of pressure she is using. She is also an incredibly kind and caring soul whose presence is so soothing. She really loves helping people relax and feel better, and it shows. She creates a relaxing environment with dim lighting, white noise, and peaceful music softly playing. For anyone looking for an awesome color specialist and a wonderful experience, I highly recommend Taylor at Joshua Christopher Salon in Fullerton! Taylor is absolutely the best I have come by! I went to Taylor for a color correction and wow! Taylor knew exactly what to do to achieve the color I was asking for. I went in with a horrible orange color that someone did and I explained to Taylor what I was looking for and Taylor achieved the color. Taylor corrected the base with an ash brown and then added blonde highlights. Exactly what I wanted! I honestly can't say enough. Not only is Taylor a phenominal hair artist and color specialist but Taylor is also the sweetest soul and a beautiful personality. All of the above are very challenging to find these days! Armando: Master Curly Hair Stylist I have found my hair's new best friend! As a curly hair gal, I've had my share of bad, depressing, and OMG haircuts. Luckily just by chance Armando was recommended to me and I'm as happy as can be. He genuinely loves cutting hair, and his passion is curly hair. He's a certified Ouidad stylist and it shows. My hair lays nicely and doesn't look like a box. Also don't have to put a bunch of product in my hair to make it look good because the cut helps my curls lay in a flattering shape. I added some before and after pictures and will show you more as I continue to get my haircut overtime. I know my curly headed gal are always looking for someone to help them, which is why I've added this long review. BRISSA is an excellent hair stylist. She listens and gives honest advise. She's just amazing. She was able to get my hair the color results I had envisioned. I went in with a pretty harsh ombré, I left with a softer more blended ombré. EXACLY THE COLOR I WANTED!! Let's talk about the cut. Her cutting technique is AMAZING!! She mentioned that she's part of Davines cutting team not sure but that sounds like a pretty big deal to me. I let my hair air dry this morning after I showered and it dried so nice. The second you walk into the salon you are welcomed by any person that may walk by you. They make you feel right at home here, which is nice when you come to a upscale salon. The salon has a nice feel to it, clean and well designed. The stylist that does amazing things with my hair is RJ Worthington. He has been cutting my hair for some time now and I honestly have a hard time trusting anyone else. The great thing is when I go in there I usually have no clue what I want to do with my hair. RJ and I chat for a minute and figure it out on the spot. I pretty much give him "the keys to my car" you might say, and he never crashes... but enough with the metaphors.
