This was my first time coming here, and it did not disappoint! I walked in and was assisted right away. I got my eyebrows threaded, and the whole process only took about 5 minutes. The woman who helped me was focused and gentle. I was worried about pain or getting small cuts afterward, but thankfully I barely felt any pain and my eyebrows looked great afterward. Once she finished, she asked if I wanted aloe vera applied, which I appreciated. She gently rubbed aloe on my eyebrows and even gave me a mini massage around the area, which was super relaxing. I have been going to Sameera on and off for the last 10 years and it has typically been an enjoyable experience. Unfortunately I went in for eyebrow threading today and had a horrible experience. I did not catch the name of the woman doing my eyebrow threading, but she had a shorter haircut. Do yourself a favor and avoid her. First, she was too busy making phone calls while I was in the chair waiting. This should have been a red flag... she left my eyebrows uneven and did not even trim them with scissors. In retrospect I'm glad she didn't because at least I still have something to work with I won't be coming back here again. read more

Came in for forehead and brow threading. My tech got rid of eeeevery tiny, fine hair that I get self conscious about on my fuzzy forehead, cleaned up the hairline. (Like peach fuzz... but with dark pigment). Only gripe was that she took off a little too much from tops of brows, so they were slightly thinner than I wanted with tiny gaps at the arches. Result was mostly symmetrical and very well shaped though, so I'm not mad. Easy to fill in and they'll grow back in a few weeks. read more

I come here just for Meera. So, I've been threading MY ENTIRE FACE since I was about 15 years old. Why? Mexican and Syrian blood, You do the math on hair . I've came in a couple times and it's been OKAY..but I finally had the opportunity to meet Meera and she is AMAZING. So I'm nearly 30 () now and every-time I thread my face I tear up. For 15 years I've accepted it. I wear contacts, have astigmatism, meh, it's normal to tear up is what I always said. Now with Meera, the first time she threaded my face, no tears...tbh a little wierd but I was like okay......went back a second time & NO TEARS!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it! I have been coming here on and off for 5 years and I have never been so disappointed. Sadly, I did not get the name of the tech who did my eyebrows but she had reddish brown short hair. When I sat down, I told her my eyebrows were microbladed and I just need a clean up. Either she should have mentioned she didn't know what that was or haven't done clients with microbladed brows. She did a terrible job. On my left brow, she took way too much off the top and you can see the ink. On my left brow, she didn't take enough off the top and took too much off the bottom. My eyebrow look off and I hate them. I was supposed to get my upper lip. I was so pissed. I'm leaving two starts because she was nice even though she knew she couldn't fix my brows. Mukul is the best for brows. She has a great attitude, is always gentle with her threading work, and gives you exactly what I want each time. Her hours (as of June 2023): She works Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. She works until 6:45 pm besides Sunday (she works from 10-3 pm). She is one of the youngest workers there but she is definitely one of, if not the best eyebrow threaders. She is kind, gentle, and she really takes her time with your brows. Really disappointed. I have come here for YEARS. And I came for the first time today since Covid started and it was a whole mess. I called twice to confirm that they wear masks and no one did. They don't ask their customers to and it was dirty and a huge mess. I'm so sad. I waited for 30 minutes before I saw no one wearing masks and the girls in the customers faces using their mouths. So guess I'm not getting my eyebrows done here ever again. It's also in a nasty shopping center where creepy old men peak in and say weird things. Overall, it was uncomfortable. I am still in shock that the people working there didn't wear masks. And it was dirty. No one seemed to care about being clean or safe. It was dingy to begin with but now with a pandemic it would be wise to take cleanliness into consideration for customers. This is a pretty dope threading spot, theyre always equipped with staff and I'm always in and out! I've been here twice already, and both times I got my eyebrows and 'stache threaded. Both times it was by the same girl. I forget her name but she is a young girl with braces. I really loove her cuz she makes you feel so comfortable, I've been nervous going in these first fews cuz I get anxiety to da MAX for some reason but she distracted me with talking and giving me breaks in between. I was also trippin that she would make my brows tooo thin but she did an AWESOMEL job cleaning em up and shapin em out. I also learned that threading my upper lip is less hash to my skin and im really LOOOVIN the results. I will definitely be returning, this has officially become my threading place. read more

Service: Threading for Eyebrow and Upper lip All the ladies in the salon are very friendly. There's about 8 stations and 4-5 threaders available at a time. There is almost always a wait (15-25 min), especially on Saturdays. This is my favorite threading place. However, not all threaders are equal. You sign in at the front on a computer and you can either select the next person available or select a specific person. Dhruti - highly recommend - Super sweet girl. Least painful out of all the threaders I've been too anywhere. She is amazing at what she does and really listens and takes her time to make sure you're happy with the shape and thickness. Chhaya - highly recommend - like Dhruti, she is very nice and am always satisfied with my eyebrows. Fairly painless too.  Maryam - do not recommend - Had her a few times. She rushes through it, and I'm never satisfied with my eyebrows. I like straight eyebrows and even though I tell her, she always makes them arched and uneven (patchy-looking too!). She's really nice, but not for eyebrow threading. I see her doing a lot of haircuts and maybe that's more her forte. Your first eyebrow threading is $3 and your first Brazilian wax is $19 (I never had the wax here). Normally, it's $10 for both eyebrow and upper lip threading. They sometimes have specials such as $25 for 5 eyebrow threading sessions. read more

Three of us went here to get our eyebrows threaded on a Sunday afternoon. We called ahead to make an appointment and they said you can just walk in for threading. When we got there, the wait was only a few minutes. That's pretty nice for a weekend afternoon. They only had one person doing threading though, so it did take a little while for us all to be done. When we walked in, no one greeted us or even directed us to sign in or anything. Luckily, I have been to similar places in the past, so I walked to the desk where there was a sign in sheet, but no pen (I had to ask for a pen twice). My initial impression upon walking in and sitting and waiting was not a very good one. The place has modern (Ikea) stations and mirrors, so I thought it was cute, but it wasn't very welcoming because aside from handing me a pen, we were all but ignored. Another girl was having her face threaded while we waited a short time. Then it was my sister's turn. When she got up, the owner who we had seen on a business call and working at the receptionist desk asked if it was her first time and how she had heard about them. She told them we found them on Yelp. Once he heard that, he became very friendly and was very enthusiastic about asking us to write reviews and also mentioned that they were competing for the Fox Best of the OC Hotlist. He even added a link to their website as we talked about it. It's nice to hear a business owner so enthusiastic about Yelp, and considering how many great reviews they have, I'm not very surprised. When my sister's brows were done, I told her it looks like the girl forgot to trim them, but she told me that the girl had trimmed them (but sorry, not very well). She was a bit disappointed because she had asked the girl to thin them out a bit, but she didn't really, and she also didn't trim them enough, so her brows still looked kind of bushy. But at least it's a quick fix at home. My threading was okay. I get threaded regularly and even do it myself at home, so mine was just a little touch up and I barely felt it. Maybe I'm a little spoiled by the places in Artesia/Cerritos, but they usually rub my eyebrows with some lotion and do a mini-massage when they are done. They also usually put a tissue down so I don't get hair on me. It was not the case here. I felt like I was in a threading assembly line. Not very personal. After it's done, she handed me a cotton ball to do it myself. I would give the threading experience itself 2 stars based on what seems to be pretty normal at most other threading places I've been to. Tthe best part of our visit was Sameera. Because of her, I will return again. We each got henna done on our hands, and she was really friendly and had a good sense of humor. She deserves 5 stars for her great attitude. I think my initial impression of this place probably would have been different if she had been at the front desk when we walked in.
