So, I have had Brazilian waxes from Mona in the past. She always does a fast and great job, but I'm not sure about today? It didn't seem like she was in a rush because no one was waiting in the lobby. I left the studio content and confident because I've been waxed by Mona in the past and trusted her work. Unfortunately, when I got home I noticed that there were several stray stubby hairs remaining after the wax. It really annoys me when I go in for a Brazilian and a waxer is not diligently making sure that her work is thorough. I'm not trying to be that petty customer, but there were 20+ stray hairs. I have been waxing for years and I know waxers who take the time to tweeze any remainder hairs to make sure they have a clean finish. I really hate to leave a bad review for this new salon and Mona has always been so kind and responsive when booking appointments, but I won't be coming back. read more

Review 48/365 challenge Finally visited Mona at her new Salon of hers that she opened last month. I'm her usual when Mona use to be at Nena's Waxing for the past couple of years. 2/3 years as her client for bikini waxing. As always, Mona is so accommodating. I texted her & literally she was able to take mee in for an appt at 15 mins. Got full bikini Waxing and underarm that only took 15 mins that cost an incredible $ 30 for everything. Love Mona, she is fast and makes you feel really comfortable. Even when my 1st Visit. Mona is very Clean and uses gloves along with a new dip wax stick. Nice simple salon with some artificial flower greenery, lots of natural lighting and light grey wall colors. Same plaza as ACE Hardware, APE Coffee & King's teriyaki grill. 3.5 stars. Went for eyebrow threading. Good for in- between cleaning sessions, but not for shaping. Also, with how rough she is, I thought she'd do a very detailed job, but there were still some random hairs that I had to pluck afterwards. read more

I usually have a great experience with Mona, she does an excellent job. However, today I had a different lady and unfortunately it was not a good experience. The threading was extremely painful and she actually cut the skin around my eyebrows, which is still painful it feels like a rug burn. I've had my eyebrows threaded many times before and have never experienced this. When I mentioned it, she blamed it on my skin being sensitive rather than acknowledging the issue. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as the service really depends on who you get read more

Mona is the best! I've gone to her for awhile now, and she does not disappoint. I love that underarms are included! I don't book my sessions ahead , but usually I'll text her for availability and she always tries to get me in my preferred time! She's very easy to talk to and has a lot of attention to detail. Update to my experience. My best friend reached out to Mona because she has been her customer for several years now and she felt bad about my experience. Mona called me and was super nice and apologetic. For that reason alone, I changed my 1 star to 2. Mona asked that I give her (personally) a try and indicated that the Meena (her daughter in law) is less experienced than she is and that she would talk to Meena about being too heavy hand. Mona requested that I come back for a complimentary treatment to give her the opportunity to make things right. I will update my review if I decide to go back but for now, I do appreciate her efforts in reaching out to me. Customer service on point! read more

A friend recommended me to come here for a Brazilian wax and I am so glad to have found Mona! I walked in around 10a on a Wednesday and was seen right away, Mona is friendly, provides quick and quality service, made me feel extremely comfortable and only charges $30 for a Brazilian with a free armpit wax! I went to Mona's waxing and threading with no appointment and she took me in within 15m, which was greatly appreciated. I asked for a very natural eyebrow thread and Mona delivered. I decided to try this salon based on the strong reviews, but overall my experience was average. I visited twice--once for face threading and once for body waxing with a facial. Both times the services felt rushed, and quite a bit of hair was left behind in very noticeable areas, which was disappointing. The facial itself was decent, but there was a lot of product residue left in my hair, on my neck, and even on my lips. I had to go home and shower right away, which defeats the purpose since it's typically recommend to leave products on the skin for 24 hours. On a positive note, Meena is friendly and welcoming, and Mona is also nice, though a bit pushy about adding extra services. Pricing is reasonable--not as cheap as some reviews suggest, but I can't help but wonder if the slightly lower cost comes at the expense of attention to detail...? I really wanted to love this salon since it's so close to home and offers a wide range of services, but unfortunately, the quality and overall experience just didn't meet my expectations. Maybe I will try it one more time before completely crossing it off my list. read more

A few of my friends had their brows done by Casey Kim, and I absolutely loved their results, so I finally decided to book with her. Today I just finished my second touch up, and I truly love it!! The shape looks so natural and balanced. Casey is incredibly professional, takes her time, and makes you feel very comfortable and calm throughout the entire process. Not to mention, she has also done brows for many Orange County housewives and celebrities, which really shows how trusted and experienced she is. I don't fill in or shade my eyebrows, just letting them live the wild life! Casey was very knowledgeable and knew what I needed for my situation in life. I now I have very glamorous eyebrows that are not over the top! She also did my eyelids and they have great definition. She is highly skilled and easy to talk to. Her process was wonderful. Casey had a nice long talk with you, then she sketches on your eyebrows and eyelids of what she thinks looks good from your input. The nano micro blading and shading wasn't torture! As she is working when it starts to get uncomfortable she moves to a different section, without me saying anything! That is years of experience shinning through. The eyelids were harder because I fluttered a bit when she got into the one corner of my inner eyelid but Casey was very calm and walked me through it. My husband and family were blown away when they saw how well they came out. My brother couldn't tell until I pointed them out. Right now it is dark so I am excited how it will lighten in a week's time. I have not had any scabbing, flaking, or skin issues. The day of and the next my eyes were slightly puffy as if I was crying. Yah for me! Casey is located in The Grand in Brea in the shopping plaza off of the 57 freeway. She has the heart and skill of an angel! I was very lucky to have found her! It was a pleasure to get this done with her.
