I've been coming here for years (before she moved locations). Douvie is the only person I would let thread me and my daughters. She is still located in Brea across from the mall in the same shopping center as Target. She is now in the Phoenix Salon Suites #102. Love the new location. Much smaller than her previous spot but is very cute and total spa feel. Both my girls (and I) really love Douvie's gentle technique and care when threading. Super sweet gal that does not over charge or try to upscale. I believe her last price increase was 2022. Although I have several options just down the street from me, I do not mind coming to Brea just for Douvie. read more

Very nice to have an eyebrow threading place near my work. I highly recommend this place! It's very clean, and they keep it nice and cool inside, which is a huge plus during the summer. This was my first time here and I felt like she was rushed through the whole process. She didn't get some of the smaller hairs and her thread was very thin so the whole time it felt like she was breaking my hairs and not actually extracting them at the root. It was a fine experience overall but I wouldn't come back. read more

I was weary going to a new eyebrow spot but wanted to find an option in the OC. Yelp reviews did not lead me wrong with Kaya. The storefront is fairly plain but the work is amazing. With very little interference and guidance, she did one of the best eyebrow threadings for me! Not only was it shaped and cleaned up perfectly but it also took forever to grow back - a sign that she's an excellent threader! Definitely my new go-to spot when I'm in the OC. Oh and she's super friendly; and parking is plentiful! Highly recommend! read more

I've been getting threaded here for more than a decade so this review is definitely long overdue! She's always super helpful and open to providing the right service. Very very consistent and considerate as well. My eyebrows are always the best whenever we're done! I saw the "moving" sign but was more than thrilled to find out she just moved next door to the salon studio. I moved back in town so I'm pumped that I can continue to come here. My cousins told me about this place. She was quick but efficient. Actually gave me an arch that I've been asking other threading places to give me and never received. They don't massage the area after but she did use some witch hazel and I didn't break out or get cut like unusually do at other places as well. read more

Took my sisters here to get their eyebrows threaded, and they both left totally crushed. If you look at the picture attached, both sets turned out very uneven. They shortened my sister's already thin brows after she requested to keep them fuller. The technician also kept talking the whole time she was working with the thread in her mouth. Here's to praying they regrow quickly. read more

Been a client to Kaya threading for awhile now and have never been disappointed!!! I recommend her to all my friends. After the Covid 19 quarantine I was dying for some eyebrow/lip maintenance but was iffy about entering anywhere but I still did used a mask and didn't touch anything. And to my surprise I walked in and she had a mask cleaned up after a client also adjusted the way she threads to using a necklace instead of her neck. She offers masks to clients who don't have one. She is very considerate and over all just great! Five stars all the way!!!!! read more

Did not know they had a yelp deal! Well I was looking for a place to get my eyebrows threaded near my house and this place popped up and honestly I was afraid to try it because there were no yelp reviews!!! I RELY ON MY YELPERS! oh gosh but I was running out of time and it was walking distance so.. *deep breath* I decided to walk in. I did not catch her name but on the business card that I got said Nitu? Hope that's her. She was the only one at the place and the place was empty with construction going on outside... got me even more worried! But she was VERY friendly and VERY nice. Right when I walked in she was on it. I sat down told her what I wanted and on it she was with her threading skills. Honestly, I've never had it threaded I always pluck and shave it myself but thought I'd give it a try. It hurt like...#@((#)%%$ but she was so nice and she told me tips on how it hurts less haha! I was VERY satisfied with the results but I don't want to post a picture of my eyebrows haha because everyone has different opinions. On the back side of the business card they give you like a stamp card which is when you come in 10 times the 11th one is free and it's really cheap! $5.99 basically $6 I walked out very happy! Handed her a $10. It was kind of scary to try because no one was there and this place is kind of hard to find it's in the Target plaza but right next to Kabuki and Avenue. I'd say try this place if you live near! Since it's new they are super clean and the lady that did my brows took care of me very well! I'm sure coming back and getting my brows threaded again haha! read more

Super nice people, and the threading process here was both quick and efficient, as well as inexpensive. The salon itself is very pretty and clean, and very comfortable. If you don't see it at first from the lot, note that it's right smack next to a Kabuki restaurant. I came across them one day when my usual salon looked too busy to squeeze me in for even a quick eyebrow threading, and I was pleased with the level of service here. I'll likely return, but usually I'm still just that much happier with my regular place :) read more

I had a really good first experience walking into Kaya Beauty! I was in desperate need of an eyebrow threading and the only girl I trusted at another place had left. Glad I rolled the dice on this place - minimal pain, no redness and perfect brows! I got the lady in chair 2 who was very sweet. I showed her a photo of the shape I wanted and told her my skin is very sensitive (many girls have yanked my skin out). She made sure I was happy with the results and you can't beat the price at $6.99, which is less than my old spot. I can feel confident with my brows again! read more

So disappointed as I easily thought this place was going to be an easy five star review. Arrived here on a Tuesday afternoon. This place is located in a shopping center strip between Kabuki Japanese Restaurant and Target. Immediately greeted by a male sitting behind the desk. Besides one other customer, I was the only one there. There were no workers at there stations, which was kind of strange. A female came out from the back room a few moments later and asked me to sit in station one. The place is extremely clean and the seats looked new and comfy. As the female started threading the brows, It became more and more painful. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for years and It never hurt this bad. I wasn't overdue on getting my brows done either. Instead of complaining, I just dealt with it hoping it was only the right eyebrow that was being sensitive but I was wrong. The lady did the left eyebrow and it was just as bad. She was not in a rush or anything and was being polite the entire time, she just didn't have the technique down right. I went ahead and left her a $2 tip and had no plans of ever coming back. So the following morning I wake up with all these thin scabs on my eyelid and the newly threaded area. I should have called to complain but pretty much you pay for what you get. read more

The first time I came here was almost four maybe five years ago for my brows to get cleaned up and I've never been able to go anywhere else since. I used to go somewhere else in Brea but as it got busier the quality of service went down there but here you can see the owner does her best to provide consistent service no matter how busy it gets. It's not the flashiest or fanciest of places but in its simplicity you see a clean well kept place that is definitely worth coming to for all your needs. Even when demanding customers have barged in and rudely asked for free touch ups weeks after they got it cleaned, she kept her cool and was professional to the end. I've never had an issue and would definitely recommend anyone to come here. For the price and service, you can't find a better place! read more

When I want to get my eyebrows threaded and I'm too lazy to go to Cerritos, this is the place where I go. The service is always great and I'm always happy when I leave. Most places that I've been to I think that it's a bit painful, but here the way that they thread is almost painless. I think that if you come in on Mondays or Tuesdays it's cheaper (call ahead and ask I'm not sure if they still offer specials for those days) and I've also seen offers on groupon now. Even without the offer it's $6 and they also offer punch cards (get your eyebrows threaded 10 times and the 11th time it's free). Definitely one of the best places in North Orange County and highly recommended. NOTE: I came here once during lunch time (noonish) and I waited 40 minutes. After that incident I have been coming in the morning and I always get seated right away. read more

After that, I received no response or confirmation that my appointment had been canceled. Since I had not been told otherwise, I drove to the appointment on time to avoid being considered a no-show or potentially being charged a cancellation fee. I arrived, waited 15 minutes, and tried contacting her multiple times through text and Instagram, but received no response. I eventually received a response well after my appointment time saying she couldn't make the 10:00 AM appointment and could reschedule me for 11:30. Unfortunately, by that point, I had already rearranged my morning, driven there, and waited with no communication. I completely understand that emergencies and unexpected situations happen. However, the lack of communication and consideration for my time was extremely unprofessional. If my appointment could not be honored, I should have been clearly notified BEFORE I drove there. Because of this experience, I won't be returning.

I found this place while going out to lunch with friends at kabuki. noticed they had the sign for $5.99 eyebrow threading so decided to give them a try and boy im glad i did, because i use to go inside the brea mall and paid $10 for just eyebrows. the lady who did my eyebrow was very gentle and supernice she has very soft hands, did'nt feel the pain as i have felt before at other threading place. i love how my eyebrows turned out plus got my lip threaded and all for only $10 i would recomend this place and will be comming back. this place just opened up so cash only for now. I decline and show them that the peeling is happening on all my nails. The manager then tells me I will have to pay $15 to fix them if I want to do all the nails. I'm not going to fix 4 fingers and the rest of them don't look the same. I shouldn't have to pay again when they should've been right the first time and shouldn't be peeling from Gel X... The manager says nothing and leaves. No apology. I also witnessed her roll her eyes at another client at the front desk. The tech who is clearly irritated is sighing, huffing and puffing. Twice, she is trying to grab my wrist to pull my arm around and I had to pull my hand away and ask her not to touch me like that and I can move my arm myself where she needs me to have it. My nails thankfully were fixed but the manager is rude and does not care. Management needs to improve on hospitality, customer service, and overall communication. This place has lost my business and I will be telling others to stay clear of this place!

I had specifically scheduled my new set with Amy when I made the appointment four days in advance. However, when we got there, it became clear that she had been double-booked, and there was confusion from the very beginning about who was supposed to do my nails. For a service that was booked several days ahead of time, I expected things to be much more organized. I made an appointment for two full sets and two pedicures at 5:30 PM. When we arrived, they had us sit at the pedicure stations and started on our nails. My sister was able to get her pedicure while her nails were being done, but I was told to wait for another pedicure technician to finish with a client. What was especially frustrating was that the front desk employee knew we had appointments for two pedicures. When a pedicure technician became available, instead of taking me as scheduled, she assigned that technician to a customer who had just walked in. Even though I had an appointment and had already been waiting, I was passed over and forced to wait even longer. By the time I finally got my pedicure, my nails were already finished. The same technician who did my nails then rushed through my pedicure, and it felt like it was completed in about five minutes. It definitely was not worth the price or the wait. Speaking of price, I was also shocked by how much more expensive everything was compared to what was advertised online. I was charged $75 for builder gel alone, which I found excessive and much higher than I expected based on the salon's advertised pricing. The lack of transparency about pricing made the experience even more frustrating. I don't understand the point of making an appointment days in advance if the technician is double-booked and walk-in customers are prioritized over scheduled appointments. The lack of organization, poor customer service, rushed work, and unexpected pricing completely ruined what was supposed to be a special birthday outing for my sister. Unfortunately, I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this salon based on my experience.
