The price was higher than the original quote upon pickup, but I had more items than expected. But overall the cost was fair (still cheaper than renting a uhaul and moving on my own) and all my items were delivered ahead of schedule and no damages! BEWARE!!! My wife and I are both physically handicapped. We needed help leaving our apartment and unloading storage shed to move to another location. Given our disabilities, we needed to hire what we thought was a professional moving company. We were wrong on both accounts. Not only is United Moving And Storage NOT a moving company, they are also extremely unprofessional and in our opinion very "strategic" in the way information is represented. The facts about United Moving And Storage is that they are a moving services 'coordinator' that merely bids out jobs to actual carriers to do the work. The estimates that you have to generate on your own are absolutely meaningless when the actual carrier/movers show up. In fact, the carrier is not required to do anything except show up at your location and then decide how much they want to charge, no matter how different (much more expensive) it is. The best part? Not only do you have no idea how much an actual moving company is going to charge you, United Moving And Storage will charge you a NON-REFUNDABLE "deposit" once these people show up. So not only are you at the last second whim of a charge on your moving day, you have no chance in hades of getting your money back if you don't want to pay 2x-3x times more (in my experience). These types companies should be put out of business, they are nothing but leeches. Please do your own research when looking for a moving company and make sure they are their own carriers. Finally find out how long your stuff would actually take to show up, in my case the carrier advised 7-10 days was typical. I don't know about you folks, but I can't wait up to 10 days to get my stuff after paying that kind of premium. read more

BEWARE! Do not use this company!!! They showed up 36 hours late and took 2 days to pack, not sure why because they literally just threw my belongings into boxes. They ruined my couch, and I'm missing a lot of stuff, like a bbq, lamps, a Dyson, my drapes, wall mirrors, a laser printer, and that's just what's on the top of my head. There had been something broken in every box. I am not even done unpacking and so far the list of broken items are: couch seat cushion, 2 plates, 1 wine glass, 2 pieces of my daughters ceramic art, a piece of art, a pottery barn makeup organizer, my desk, my filing cabinet, a lamp, an automatic cat litter box, Sonos sound bar, various acrylic drawer organizers, Pyrex glass containers, and I'm only 1/2 unpacked. It is 8/14/24, and everyday since 7/29/24 I have cried because of them! Having my daughter's first ceramic art be shattered, not having a couch to sit on because the seat cushion is filthy and stained, is awful! Not to mention they changed the price AFTER they started the move. I ended up paying 3 times the amount of the initial estimate because they said my belongings were 1700 cubic feet, but it's not. They used these giant 4 feet tall boxes, that weren't full. Then they took items that belonged to the homeowner of the place I was renting and that I specifically told them not to take! Lastly, I've had to cancel numerous credit cards because every time I gave them a card, it was fraudulently used. Oh and they charge 3% to use a card which is unheard of! to begin.... Getting the quote and working with Tamara was great. The quote was reasonable for a move up to the NW from CA, originally 3800.00 was the bid for 1/2 truck. Once it got closer to the move date is when things started to get iffy. No one called or gave me an ETA on the move out of LA day. This was stressful as I had to board my dogs and keep a kid in daycare as it was summer.....Once the crew came it went great and like clock work. They worked hard however upon delivery 1/2 dozen broken items and missing boxes ! For the delivery up North, things got more weird. The owner called me a day before , and TOLD ME what day they would be arriving . It was several days earlier than I had planned and I have a life with animals and kids that had to be arranged along with a LOCAL "friend" I had to have go to meet the truck in my absence. now I have to hire my own crew when I get up there to actually stage things the way I want! Super stressful as I'm alone in a new place and now have this task to bear. Once the TRUCK was in the vicinity I was told it was an 18 wheeler !!! Obviously a Truck that size could not come into my little town neighborhood, They say they had to swap out the freight truck for a 5 ton for local shuttle service....why would they assume my home was a commercial district? What happened to the truck they picked it up in ?! They charged me an additional 350 for this local truck. Never actually knew if there was an 18 wheeler or not ... this is obviously an add on for a service I likely didn't need? The moving CREW on both sides were friendly and helpful. All in all my 4k move skyrocketed to 7500 with tips. They recommended a 10% tip and I obliged.... Sent list of damages and losses they never replied . read more

Be warned about this business. They give lowest quote when called which will more than double later. They say they are not brokers but they are and use 3rd parties. Summary: - quote more than doubled AFTER they came to pick up items though my list was very itemized as I took over 3 months to pack - delivery was said to be 2 weeks but took over 2 months leaving me and my dog both injured with only a mattress and they did not return call until I called police - 3rd party mover showed up with truck 10x size and created hostile scene with my leasing office claiming I need to have a permit to let them park (note I am single and my belongings were minimal taking up less than 10% of their truck) - they advertise knowing to move pianos but they do not and tried to ask me, used dolly and damaged my piano and lost parts - they force people to pay with money order at end so they can do this and not get chargeback at end which is never discussed - they act like "thugs" and don't let you speak to accounting - I've INSURED my items but they did not pay anything - I had to take them to court due to more than 4k of damages and they did not show up to any meetings for over a year and half - court ordered to pay and continued to ignore - when servers went to serve they lied and said they are not the business at both business and owner locations - Nothing I packed broke (vase, crystals, electronics) everything they CHARGED and packed broke (piano, tv) - Rust on things -storage probably not temperature controlled - I put temper proof tape on everything but still a box missing and new dining chairs stolen SAVE YOURSELF the headache I have videos photos everything and had to pursue with so much time and energy still pursuing. Buyer beware, stay far away from this mover. They moved our belongings from Texas to California. They gave an estimated quote and on the day of pick up the fees went up by 40%. We had to be out of the house that day, so went with the additional charges. Upon move out they dented walls and destroyed a door. When they arrived at the property in California, it took them the entire day to move two bedrooms worth of furniture. By the afternoon, the movers were saying that they had to leave to another load off. Because of how slow they were, I left work and assisted them with moving my own furniture, and this is after the 6K+ that was paid for their services. They dented our dryer to point that it does not work, not to mention several dents and unassembled furniture that I had to put together. We should have went with Allied Vanlines who quoted $5,500, but I thought their original quote of $3,800 was a real value, which was a lie since the total came out to more than $6,000. This review is for delivery only from CA to Chantilly, VA: My items were on guaranteed delivery for today, which is damn near impossible to get for a cross country move. David, the delivery driver, got here at his noted ETA. It was pouring also, but he got the job done quickly and was careful with my items. Even the maintenance guy foe the HOA mentioned how great he was. I am definitely beyond happy with the the pick up and delivery. However, Tommy, was pretty much useless once they have transferred the paperwork to dispatch. I couldn't even depend on him to try to get I fo from me while I was on the road. He basically just directed me to dispatch moving forward. I guess he does the initial ppwk and he's done helping as soon as the work order is secured and processed. 2 stars for Tommy. One tip: If you can give them an accurate list of items that you have to move, your estimate will be pretty close. I gave them a list that has the number or boxes and dimensions. I only went over a few cubic feet since I didn't have dimensions on the sectional. But pretty much on point when they picked up and loaded my stuff in the truck. Anyway, 5 stars for Davis for sure. Somehow, a "bug" got in the vacuum which is definitely not from my end since I got the vacuum serviced right before I packed it. I guess it hitched a ride to my stuff sometime between the storage or from other people's things. Who knows, but he was kind enough to kill it for me and gave me tips on how to make sure I keep them out of the new place. I used United Transportation to move the contents of a condo from Walnut Creek, CA to Ashland, OR. From Tommy who booked the job and answered all my questions to Caesar (driver) and Tony (helper) and the scheduling staff, I'm completely and totally thrilled with the process. The guys were pleasant and affable, carefully wrapped everything fragile and loaded the truck like someone who has played 30 years of Tetris. My stuff arrived sooner than I thought as well. All in all a great move from start to finish. I would mention one thing that would have sped up the process from my end. Wardrobe boxes are great to out all those miscellaneous things in that are left at the end. Get some of them ahead of time for all the odds and ends that don't fit in a box! I cannot recommend this company though I was treated very nicely by the office staff. There were way to many of our belongings broken, damaged, scratched and boxes smashed! The office personnel tried really hard to work with us to repair the damages through a process of filing a complaint to an insurance company which then would go through an adjuster to get some compensation. I declined feeling it was not my responsability to go through the process myself as it was not accidental but negligence and carelessness from some of their staff during the loading/unloading and transit from one truck to another. My advice to this company who has definitely good intentions is to supervise and quality control every step of the move and to train the people they hire to treat every item they handle as "fragile". read more

New Leaf was absolute TRASH with horrible customer service, and I would never do business through them again. The only saving grace of my cross country move was the excellent movers and customer service I received from United Transportation. The movers during pick up and delivery were professional and polite. My move ended up costing more than I anticipated because the brokerage company did not provide accurate estimates. However, Alex from United Transportation customer service was able to provide a reasonable discount to accommodate my moving budget. I appreciated their services very much. I hired them for a potential move from California to Texas and they were storing my belongings until I figured out where I was going which was a month later, when it came time to get my belongs the owner with the strong accent Ben Dahr or wherever his legal name is not only disrespected me he became physical and as a result police were called and he was placed in handcuffs. At that time I just wanted my belongings, they were ordered to give me my stuff in exchange for my not pressing charges or being charged the excessive storage fee for on month totaling $1300, but they lied, as soon as our truck was loaded and after we left they illegally charged me for the fee and purposely withheld some of my belonging claiming they can't find them. I have an active case with the police department and am waiting for a court date. I will not give up until these horrible people pay. Do not hire them. Bait and Switch Don't rely on the estimate United gives to you on the phone.  I told them the items I wanted to deliver.  But surprise, on the day of the delivery I was charged about $400 more, they said it was more than expected.  Also they said they will cover the cost of one flight of stairs for the move, but the driver claimed I had too many steps and charged about $75 more.  Let me tell you there were not too many steps.  In fact I lived in a very low level story because the garage that I lived above is partially underground, so it's more like 3/4 a story. I had to move that day that the deliverer came, so I swallowed my pride and begrudgingly paid. Learn from my lesson: Try not to be forced to move on the day of the delivery.  If the deliverer over charges you, you have the option to say no and try another deliverer. Additionally, I had them store my items and then deliver them to my new home later on. When I told them my new location, It took about three weeks and many phone calls to get them deliver my items back to me. Lastly, United lost one of my boxes and delivered another customer's box that they did not want to pick up. One positive side is that they are cheaper than some of their competitors especially their rental storage, but dealing with them may come with some hardships. They took 3 weeks to get to our new house and instead of the 24 hour heads up they called us and said they'd be at our house in less than 4 hours. Half of our stuff arrived damaged or broken. Almost all our boxes were destroyed which they said wasn't their fault. Stuff arrived with water damage or completely cracked or chipped. So I have updated information. I was under the impression that Agostis Moving and storage was the building they where in . But it turns out it was the Adwest Mailers building they are in. They are currently doing business out of the parking lot at that location and leaving belongings in the trucks over night at the Extended Stay America. This building size is 17k. And now there saying over 200 customer stuff as burnt. Also they recently sent me a message requesting to take down my reviews because they are in the process of a settlement with the City of Los Angels. And once settled then they will pay customers full value of the belongings. read more
