What an interesting little post office in the Crichton area of Mobile…read more I needed to mail out my Christmas cards, which I had accidentally spilled water all over earlier that day. I went in and there was no one in line so I went straight to the window. I bought 30 stamps as well as a cute card. Who knew you could buy cards at the post office? They have a decent selection and they're fairly inexpensive. I told the lady at the window that I was totally blaming that spilled water on the post office. She smiled and winked and told me to bring them inside to the window next time instead of dropping them in the outside box. I put stamps on my cards and dropped them in the inside box and was on my way within just a few minutes. The runner at my office recommended this post office because he said it's never busy, and he was right. The post lady was super friendly and pleasant. Unfortunately, after close inspection of the nearby trees, I had no luck finding the elusive Mobile leprechaun. Maybe I'll go back in March. ;)

All in all, not a bad post office and I was able to get my package in the mail. However, be advised that they move very slowly and offering any customer service is definitely not a priority. I waited a few minutes for two employees to stop talking to begin to assist me and then after I paid and my receipt was dangling on the machine after paying, the person at the desk still felt it more important to stand up and stretch and and look at her phone than take the split second to hand me my receipt.
