I had a good feeling about this place when I first saw the big statue of a frog reading a book outside with benches for reading outdoors. Inside it is well organized with whole sections for kids and individual rooms for audio, including lots of CD's and audiobooks and other library functions open to the public. The library offers access to their full catalog as well as to assistance with technology research and a host of special programs, including story time for children. Additional resources are available online through ebooks and streaming videos with your library card.  Over 34, 000 movies and documentaries as well as the Great Course is available there.  They are even offering Zoom talks!   With COVID protocols the library is now open Mon - Fri 10am - 6pm with social distancing with a building capacity is of 50. There are 4 computers available in the computer lab, test proctoring is available by appointment. Book drop is open and available at the back of the building. and you can call ahead at (251-968-1176) if you prefer take-out service. Meeting room, notary service, and on-site programming not available at this time. A cool service is their free Wi-Fi which is available 24/7 eve after hours, you can access this service from their parking lot! They will scan documents to your email free of charge and printing services are available from the computer lab and photo copying is available at 15¢ per page. Bottom line: We love to get our books at the library and sometimes just hang out and this is a great place for both. Check it out!!

I have a library card to MY public library, but it was 15 hours north. No worries. I asked for help and they delivered. They assigned me a temporary computer password, I logged in, set up the print job and they printed it for me. I paid for my prints and I was on my way. They were SO NICE! Sadly, I would probably not get this kind of customer service at my home library. They need to take some lessons on customer service from TBNPB.

I love going to al the local libraries here in Mobile, AL. My favorite is the Moore Branch Library…read morewhere I have made friends and several acquaintances there. My major complaint is that the circulation department at West Regional is extremely slow. In particular the library purchases movies for rental. The circulation/preparation department then sits on them for six to eight weeks after release date before making them available to rent. Now on average new release movies cost from $15.00 to $35.00 each. In most cases they will purchase from 12-20 copies of the movie. At the rental rate of 75 cents for a one week rental or the same amount for a three week rental of T.V. shows by the time they are available to rent the library never recoups the initial investment for each title. This is my major beef. The library uses taxpayer funds to make these purchases knowing full well they are going to lose money on each title. It used to not be this way. What can be done? Probably nothing. Who can fight governmental organizations and win!!!

You will find it also extremely spacious, clean and very pleasant. And comfy! There are many little places to sit down, rest and enjoy current periodicals and a pretty awesome selection of books. The computer area is also large. There is an upper floor with tables for reading or even playing cards with friends. The staff is amazing. Gee, just the 100% guarantee of a friendly face and big smile. To top it off, just a few steps away is a lovely deck overlooking the pond and fountain. I think most of Baldwin County library cards are accepted. It doesn't matter - just take some time to drop in and see the beautiful building.

What a fun time at the annual Christmas Potluck lunch for the senior citizens of the city of…read moreSpanish Fort. Tables were decorated by the various groups that meet at the center with Christmas Carol themes. Our Mahjong group chose "O Christmas Tree" for the two tables we decorated. Everyone attending brought a side dish or a dessert and 2 businesses furnished the entrees of ham and fried chicken. Music was provided by Greg Normand and Terry Youngblood. Christmas carols were played and even a sing along by the group of attendees. Door prizes were provided by Spanish Fort Businesses. Heather Allen, Spanish Fort Activity Director, did an amazing job of organizing this event. Thank you City of Spanish Fort for hosting this event.

Kitchen space is large. It's connected to the Spanish Fort Library. There is also a beautiful pond in the back with a nice deck/board walk and fountains. Coffee shop by front entrance serves drowsy poet coffee among other snacks. Bathrooms are located upstairs and downstairs and are ALWAYS clean. Staff is friendly. Lots of areas for group studying too and they have private rooms available if you need them
