Let me tell you a story about this company, United PC TEK. FRIST don't do business with them! $440 later I received one of their higher end PC referbs. I've had nothing but trouble with it. Couldn't get online or transfer my files from my old PC to the new one. I gave up and hired a company to set it thinking I had lost it. (my mind) $80 I learn that my problem is that Win 11 OS was a "HACKED" copy. There for you can't load any up on it. Thankfully Amazon is taking care of it... A Cautionary Tale: United PC TEK Once upon a time, a hopeful customer decided to invest in a refurbished high-end PC from a company called United PC TEK. After spending $440, excitement turned to frustration as the new machine presented a series of challenges. The first hurdle was connecting to the internet. Despite numerous attempts, the customer found themselves unable to go online. This was just the beginning of a string of issues that left them feeling overwhelmed and defeated. In a moment of desperation, the customer sought professional help, hiring a tech company to resolve the problems. For an additional $80, they hoped to uncover the root of the issues plaguing their new PC. To their dismay, the technician revealed that the Windows 11 operating system installed on the device was a "hacked" copy. This meant that the customer could not install updates or access essential features, rendering the computer nearly useless. Fortunately, there was a silver lining. Amazon, where the PC was purchased, stepped in to assist. The customer found relief in knowing that they would be taken care of, but the experience left a bitter taste. Lessons Learned Research Before Purchase: Always investigate a company's reputation before making a significant investment. Verify Software Legitimacy: Ensure that the operating system and software are legitimate to avoid future complications. Seek Help Early: If issues arise, don't hesitate to seek professional assistance sooner rather than later. In the end, this story serves as a warning to others considering a purchase from United PC TEK. The hope for a reliable computer turned into a lesson about the importance of due diligence and the risks of refurbished products. read more

I bought this computer system from United PC Tek. Free shipping and fast delivery. They answered all my questions the next day. (I like that) My computer was from Dell. It is Windows 10. My monitor was from Samsung. The monitor is a 22 inch. The picture is perfect. This is the BEST computer system I have ever used. I have used computers for over 35 years. (My first computer was a TRS-80) This was a refurbished system. Everything looked brand new. The package was heavy-duty, double wall, corrugated cardboard box. The delivery lady had to use a cart to take it to my room. It was so heavy. It took no time at all to install my system. Everything worked the very first time. I had this about 2 months. I use it all the time. It neve shuts down. I love it. I'm sure it will last a long time. When I do need one, I'm defiantly coming to you guys. Thank you so much !!! plr P.S. (I would give you 10 stars) read more

When a PC "tek" doesn't know the difference between a USB reading error and a graphics card, or the formatting of a wide screen monitor, I would say this is the reason why the store is called "tek" and not "tech." start to finish my experience has been a nightmare and cost me triple what their old (probably stolen) PC did. I'm still waiting on my refund which I have a feeling will turn into an Attorney General or BBB claim because that's how incompetent they are and how little faith I have in them pressing a "refund" button. SAVE YOURSELF, stay away from these dishonest and morally unethical individuals. read more

Been dealing with Nick since he went into the business. He gets it right the first time in the time he says at the price he says. No surprises and he does go above and beyond! We've never had an issue. Before the gaming computers we'd buy our kids their computers there. I'm not usually fond of anything refurbished, but will always go to Nick if we're in need of a newer pc or laptop. He's a great guy to work with and you can't beat his prices on better quality computers that fit your needs. Honestly it's nice to see a good guy growing a solid business! I recommend him to anyone with any computer needs. read more

I recently purchased a refurbished PC from United PC Tek through Ebay. I was in desperate need of a temporary replacement PC, since my main computer is on its last leg. The computer came quickly, was packaged with care, and everything that was included in the purchase was accounted for. I've had the computer for a little over a week now and everything is running so smoothly. I have no regrets. I've seen other reviewers say that their costumer service is great if there are issues. I really hope that I don't need to contact them in the future, but if I do, I have high expectations. read more

I am an engineering student at Oakland University. Engineering is no easy degree and requires a lot of computer use for graphic design and coding. As you can imagine, I'm very picky on who I let work on my computer. Unfortunately I dropped my laptop and the screen broke. My uncle spoke highly of this place so I decided to give them a shot. I'm glad I did they got me an OEM dell screen replacement done in no time. I'm very happy with the results, it was professionally done so the screen blends right in with the trim. Great value and great turnaround time. read more

Fantastic customer service My issue was immediately addressed and corrected. Tony, the rep that assisted me even sent a follow-up email to say I may contact at any time for any questions. This type of prompt and courteous service is almost unheard of today. As for the product - well, it comes boxed as if new. Looks like a new computer and I'm confident that my son will think he got a brand new gaming computer. I'm so happy we decided to purchase from this retailer and will only buy computers from them from now on. read more

I bought a used Dell Optiplex from UPTS months ago. I was shipped FAST. It works fine. I removed the side panel to check the fan and to see if there was dust inside. There was none. I am very happy with my purchase. I don't understand why UPTS has such poor ratings on Yelp. Its rating on Ebay is better than 98%. I wonder if there are one or two disgruntled customers who have opened multiple accounts. read more

I have had many issues with my Dell Inspiron 13, having to replace the charger and the screen to name a few. Nick and the rest of the staff were extremely professional and helpful. Even though it was difficult, they were ale to find a replacement screen. Their prices are fair and I want to note that nowadays it is hard to find a small shop, where the staff knows what they are doing. V. Roy read more
