The two previous computer stores I went to, [ before speaking with Sam at SCO ]------- BOTH concluded that my laptop problem was a motherboard issue. just bought a new rebuilt dell computer. i described to craig what i wanted and he had everything i needed. he was helpful in saving me money transferring data as he came up with a solution that didn't cost anything as opposed to a $150 upgrade. he made all the transferring seemless. all i had to do was plug it in, put in the passwords and it was good to go. i would recommend computer outlet to anyone looking to save money by getting a rebuilt machine as opposed to a new one. i have bought 5 or 6 computers here and am never disappointed abe read more

Totally do not understand why these 5 stars came from, maybe they are a good place years ago. Listed what you bought from this place and everyone will tell you that your NEW PC is antique and overpriced. I am trying to sell my i3 12100 prebuilt with 1050Ti and they only want to pay 200 as "no gamer will use i3, it is too old". LMAO, their really old i7 4690 is listed at nearly 400 and that i7 could only reach 60% performance of 12100. read more

I brought my computer here to be fixed. They told me they would know something in 3 days and it would be a $30 diagnostic fee. 7 days later, I heard nothing from them. So when I called them, they weren't even aware that my computer was there, so they told me they'd call me the next day. The next day they told me I possibly had a bad video card. I just had a feeling by the way he was talking that they never looked at my computer, so I decided to just come pick it up and take it somewhere else. When I did that, they still charged me the $30. The next company I took it to, said there's no way they opened up my computer to look at it because of the amount of dust that was inside. They said in order to even check out the problem, they would have had to remove the dust first. read more

This store has very nice used computers. I've got a number of brown box laptops which look basically brand and a couple of them have had like two and three year warranties already attached. The staff is awesome; they will do their best to get you exactly what you're looking for. This is a gem of a used computer store. JACKPOT! This store is right next door to my cleaners and I never went in until today. I had good reason. I'm not a window shopper and I don't like being teased with things I can't have when I want them. (Brat in other words.) So there I was looking at all of these cool inexpensively priced laptops. I'm talking $400 inexpensive and as cheap as $250. Of course for $250 they won't come with all of the bells and whistles but for me I don't need the fancy stuff. Just need the internet. There are two gentlemen that can help you out in this store. The older gentleman that helped me was really nice. Answered all of my questions. I am just opening an office and went to this store to get some of my computers and equipment. The staff is super friendly and helpful and I really feel I like I got a great computer for the price. When I was having trouble getting my desktop to pick up the wifi signal in my office they sent someone over to fix the issue at no cost even though the problem was not their fault. I've been to Southfield Computer Outlet in a panic several times, always with great results. Once they retrieved lost photos from a digital camera chip. Another time they removed a nasty virus while I waited unstead of Best Buy, who wanted to take my laptop for a week. And, recently they removed a bunch of unnecessary antivirus software my brother-in-law installed while he was visiting, which slowed down my computer (they didn't even charge me for this visit).
