Later, I ended up calling back and got a nice second computer built up for my nephew for a very good price, even with a top of the line nvidia card. Bobby, if you read this, you're great.

The two previous computer stores I went to, [ before speaking with Sam at SCO ]------- BOTH concluded that my laptop problem was a motherboard issue. I can call them, send a text, or email and they get back to me literally minutes later! They are able to work remotely or come in and work without disrupting the office. One thing that I have been very impressed with is that when they come in and work on our system they are not taking calls from other customers and charging us for the time! They stay with it until the problem is fixed! Thank you C-Net for making my job easier!

I feel so fortunate to be able to come into GP Geek and have my questions answered with patience…read moreand efficiency. I have brought in both a desk top and lap top for switching out and updating my computers, and it's done quickly, and with helpfulness that you can't get at a big box store. I have an 2013 iMac that was running slower and slower. I wasn't thrilled about buying a new one…read moreas they've downsized the hard drive capacity without a significant increase in price. I decided to upgrade by original hard drive to a solid state drive and took it to GP Geek in The Village. They are right next to CVS on the parking lot side. The iMac models from 2013 onward have their screens glued on so they needed to order the adhesive kit and that took a few days. We were out of town so it worked out perfectly. They replaced my old drive with the new SSD and migrated everything from the old drive. The price was very reasonable and everything is working great. The system now is ready to go in about ten seconds from pressing the power button. This was taking several minutes before. Anything I open is now nearly instantaneous. It basically turned an eight year old machine into a brand new one! I'd definitely recommend Grosse Pointe Geek for any computer work.

When it comes to network issues, Ryan of C! Tech is my go-to guy, every single time. Once I…read morecouldn't figure out how to hook up my printer to my wireless network, and it was driving me crazy because theoretically, by every measure I took in the "how to" stuff, it should have worked. But I didn't, so I called Ryan, and he was over in an impressive amount of time. Within minutes he figured out that it wasn't me, it was my router, and proceeded to do that geeky voodoo that he does so well, and like magic, it worked! That's just one example of the awesomeness that is Ryan Meray of C!Tech Solutions. That, plus his quick response time, his patience, and his incredible sense of humor are only a few reasons why I highly recommend him to anyone who is having computer or network issues. Knowing I've got Ryan as my Official IT Witch Doctor, I'm no longer frustrated or afraid the world is going to end when stuff isn't working right on my home network. He has saved me headaches on multiple occasions, and has been kind enough to not shrink my own head in the process. :)

My experience was exceptional!…read more So a life time ago, I dropped my iPhone 4S & it died. I mean dead died. Not cracked just nothing. So of course I took it to apple & they said, there is no way to fix this. I was crushed, as I was a new to iPhone/ apple user and hadn't backed up my phone . They told me there was a place in NY that could possibly retrieve my data, I was most concerned with the photos, but they said it could be upwards of 10k$$ . There was just no way. So I saved the phone hoping one day some tech savvy person would be able to breath life back into my phone & retrieve its memories. That day has finally come!!! I dropped my old phone that wouldn't even turn on to Rich. He made no promises but said he would try his best. It took almost a week, but was absolutely worth it!!! He was able to change out the whole housing of the phone & get it to turn on!!! Once I got there, I put in my 4 digit pin code & to my surprise it pulled up everything!!!!! When I got home, I poured through the photos & videos of when my kids were little & was able to read some old text messages from dad, he passed away a little over a year ago & let's just say this fix was not just AWESOME, but invaluable to myself & my family. ***** If you have read this far, please go see my hero, Rich @ cellular repair center. Ps they did not charge me 10k lol , it was extremely reasonable & I will be a forever customer!!
