His technicians came in my back yard without announcing themselves. I contacted the owner as the inspectors said we would receive an update. I then called the owner and he stated that they only repair in ground pools and spas. I asked him then why did he send someone and charge me a fee if he knew they don't repair those types of issues. He stated I "wanted" an inspection, despite knowing I have an above ground spa. This type of business practice for any business let alone a new business is dishonest. The owner was very argumentative and very unprofessional. He also stated we can leave a negative review as he can get them removed. ****** Your response to my review are all lies. Payne clearly told me they only service in ground pools and spas only after you "inspected " and took the fee. I was very upfront with known information including that I have an above ground free standing spa. Payne's unprofessional behavior clearly shows how you do business. I know more than most of the pool repair guys I've met in the last eight years. So when I call someone, and they say my salt cell must be bad.. or dirty....I move on. I posted for help on Next Door. Designer Pools replied that they could check it out at no cost. Two other companies charge $150, which could be put toward repair. Another wants $55 and it doesn't go toward repair unless it is an easy fix on that visit. Their estimates are insanely high. I called yesterday and immediately made a friend. Barry and his wife Margie were here today. He was FAMILIAR and knowledgable with what I was telling him was the probable issue. Fresh solder on a burnt-out connection on the circuit board. All fixed in less than a half hour. $175. I might've paid only the $150 to the other company, but I will always go with someone who does not charge to diagnose.

The main thing is the rock wall. The job they did started rusting in under a month. Then the attempt to water seal the concrete left an eye sore and also dripped into the pool and on the tiles. I had to fix all of that myself because the more they tried to fix things the worse it got. The pipes for the waterfall leak inside and behind the wall causing white streaks everywhere. And in terms of time to complete, it was not great. Took nearly a month and a half because they would sometimes not come for a week at a time often without communication for days on end. The overall construction of the rock wall is not good or what was advertised in the quote. It looks very amateur and the structural issues will ensure that I will have issues now and down the line. I had to intervene several times and it still missed the mark. On the good side their prices are competitive and basic plastering and tiling seems to be alright so far, but I wouldn't use or reach out to them again. Nobody should expect their pool to look like this weeks after paying for a remodel.

I only bring this up. Because the last 3 companies I had. One company showed 45 minutes late. Now he did call when he was 20 minutes past the hour. As far as the bill process, it was very smooth. The only problem that we had was that we didn't read the packet that was provided. That gave instructions on how to do certain things like watering the concrete. i think that's what it's a called .
