We had been using this company for our regular monthly pool maintenance. Our pool was recently…read moredrained as part of a remodel and was scheduled to be refilled on Friday. I contacted him in advance and asked if he could come Saturday or Monday to get the water properly treated and balanced. He told me he couldn't come until Thursday. Since I didn't want a newly filled pool sitting that long without being properly treated, I told him I understood and that we would find another pool maintenance company that could come sooner. I then asked him to refund the unused portion of the $150 monthly service fee, since he had only performed one service that month. Instead of simply discussing the cancellation and refund professionally, the conversation became extremely hostile. He told me, "You pay thousands of dollars for a remodel, yet you won't pay me $200?" and eventually called me a "low-life" and said he "could wipe my ass with that money." I understand that there can be disagreements about charges, and I had no problem paying another company for the chemicals and startup service. My issue was the way I was spoken to simply because I chose to discontinue the service and requested the unused balance back. Unfortunately, after the way this situation was handled and the personal insults I received, I would not use this company again. Update after the owner's response: His response unfortunately reinforces the reason I decided to change companies. I did not cancel because I was looking for free service or because I did not want to pay for chemicals. My new pool company charges me $159/month, which is actually more than the $150/month I was paying him. They also charge separately for the freshwater startup chemicals, which I agreed to pay. I have no issue paying for services or chemicals. I changed companies because I was unhappy with the service and, most importantly, the way I was being communicated with. Even after I ended the service, the owner continued calling me "low-class" publicly in his response to this review. I think his own messages and response speak for themselves.

I'm talking rock slide, waterfalls, spa, heater... thinking back to the beginning it's really unbelievable what they were able to do. We are beyond happy with our pool now and it was finished just in time for triple digit weather. Communication was great throughout the whole process, we were not even living here when it was all happening but we were kept updated with videos, phone calls and texts. Leonard and his team were always responsive to my requests and questions. The recommendations given for colors, patterns, tile etc were great! I called atleast six different pool construction/remodel companies and if it wasn't one thing it was another. They did plaster, but not equipment. Or could do the pebble but not rock etc. When I talked to Leonard it was a one stop shop, super easy, he came out gave a quote and as with all big projects we went over budget but understandable given the issues with our pool. We had multiple leaks, the rock and slide were falling apart etc and now it looks brand new. Super happy! If your pool needs a makeover call Fix-A-Pool

Five Stars Plus for Fix A Pool!…read more If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. Fix A Pool and Leonard and his entire team were phenomenal from start to finish. I first found Leonard on Instagram when he had just started posting. I followed his work for nearly a year before finally reaching out because our pool slide and rock formation--after 20 years--desperately needed to be redone. It was long overdue. And here's the incredible part... Leonard ended up hiring the very same person who originally built our rock formation two decades ago. How amazing is that? Talk about full circle and true craftsmanship. From the very beginning, Leonard's communication was outstanding. He was upfront about costs, clear about the process, and incredibly responsive through text every step of the way. No guessing. No wondering. Just honest, professional, consistent communication. His team showed up on time, worked hard, and treated our home with respect. You could tell immediately that this is a company that takes pride in its work. The transformation is stunning. Our rock and slide formation looks refreshed, updated, and brand new. The beach entry area in our saltwater pool was beautifully redone--our dogs love soaking there, and it looks better than ever. Most importantly, our kids and grandkids cannot wait to go down the slide again. It feels like we have a brand-new backyard oasis. Leonard's dedication, follow-through, and attention to detail were truly top tier. The best in the business overall. We are beyond grateful for Leonard and his team at Fix A Pool. If you are considering any pool restoration or rock/slide work, don't wait like we did--call them. You will not regret it.
