Competitive Pool Service just patched and painted our 33 year old cool deck. We could not have been more satisfied. Gustavo, the owner, was great with communication and following through on what he promised. The job was done within a week of the bid. Pablo did a beautiful job on the cool deck. He is very meticulous and thorough. He's also a personable and respectful man. He was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them. read more

I hired Competitive to repair/refresh my 20+ year old pool to get it ready to sell my house. This included a full pebbletec replaster, some tile work and plumbing repairs. They were very slightly more expensive than some competing bids, but I went with them anyway because of the great communication throughout the proposal process and I am SO glad I did! Gustavo was always very responsive and kept me in the loop every step of the way. They completed the work on time, despite uncovering a few unexpected plumbing issues, and did a fantastic job. After the construction was done, Diego handled the weekly maintenance on the pool and kept it looking great while the house was being shown. Their communication and work ethic is top notch and I highly recommend Gustavo for your pool repair and maintenance needs. read more

Gustavo @Competitive Pool Services was easy to work with and very professional. His reply to our request was quick, we sent him photos of the issue, and he sent us back a quote. The tech came out the next day, replaced the motor and seals. They did an excellent job. Our pool pump system works perfect and we couldn't be happier. read more

I'm updating my review with my experience now that I've used this company for close to 2 years. Recently found out that I need to replace my filter due to Competitive Pool Service never properly caring for or cleaning it as agreed. The day I took the attached picture I asked Gustavo if/when the filters were cleaned last and he said his employee did it 2-3 months ago. The picture, my home warranty company and another pool company all tell me these are filters that have not been cleaned in over a year. This company hasn't taken any responsibility or offered any kind of resolution for the damage they caused and in fact they just stopped answering text messages or showing up. It seems like Gustavo takes the monthly payments and provides the bare minimum service. He placed blame on his employee saying he should know since it's assigned to him. This is disappointing especially since I always prefer to support small local businesses. I do not recommend using this company at all. read more

On a Monday morning, when it's a million degrees out, I needed my clients pool fixed asap as a condition to sell and close his home. I didn't think I'd be able to get anyone out on the same day, but Competitive Pool Services saved me big time! They were fast to respond, came out within a couple hours, assessed the issue and fixed the pool pump. The price was fair and their communication was great. Mind you another company that was recommended came out, and they couldn't/wouldn't fix the pump so I'm super appreciative to Gustavo and his team! I'd definitely call them again. read more

Gustavo and his team clogged my skimmer line and refused to clear it without me paying $180. It was the first time my lines got clogged and it was done by his crew. Not ethical or professional. read more

I live in California and my elderly parents live in Las Vegas. I've had a hell of a time trying to find a good reliable and honest pool service. The first ones did a crap job and green pool and the next was an absolute horror. The service guy tried to scam my mother and when she didn't pay he stole the pool pump. The owners couldn't care the slightest that my parents got robbed by their employee they didn't help replace the pump and wanted to charge me $200 to instal the new pump ($1800). They also said they had no info at all about the employee. Not even a last name! I called many other services and my only requirement was I needed to know who was coming on the property. That was just to much hassle for every other pool service that I called with exception of Gustavo at Competitive Pool Service. Super nice guys and he had no problem with my requirement. His guys showed on time and let me take a pic of his ID no problems. It's been 3 months now and we have zero complaints. Great service and I highly recommend! read more

Gustavo is a nice guy but we don't hire people because they're nice we hired them to do a job service started out well but overtime he kept passing the work off to guys that he had hired they were not professional they could not speak English overall it wound up costing me much of my own time and money, long after replacing him it is still costing me money from the Shotty work they did, and the unbalanced level of chemicals in my pool that forced me to replace equipment long before life expectancy, I would not use Gustavo again. read more

I reached out to competitive pools for a quote to get our pool drained and acid washed. Gustavo came out to my property and gave me a reasonable quote. He also got me a quote for a new antenna and system upgrade, ours was pretty old and we didn't have the remote for it. Gustavo was super flexible and worked with my schedule and was still able to get everything done within a few days. Our pool is nice and clean and ready for summer! Thank you Gustavo to you and your team! read more

I saw all the great reviews and decided to go with Competitive Pool Service. Gustavo came out for a quote and he recommended the services needed with a very fair price. He was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable! Highly recommended! Thanks again Gustavo! read more

We had never owned a pool until moving to LV. The wind and greenery surrounding our pool make it a pain to keep clean. Plus the pool has "vintage charm". Over the course of a year and a half we were already on to our second pool person. The first person did a great job, but was unreliable. The second person was reliable, but barely cleaned the pool and never vacuumed. So I leaned to yelp and looked at pool service reviews. I chose competitive pool service after messaging one of their clients through yelp. She was very happy with their service. Gustavo (owner) came out for a quote and price matched our current service. Diego is our regular pool person and he does a rockstar job on our pool every week!!! Even after the big wind storms, he makes it look dazzling and we're ready to jump in for a swim! Thank you Competitive Pool Service. We're so happy we found you. read more

Love the work provided, and customer service is on the next level! They are servicing my pool monthly and this allows me to have a peace of mind that my family is using safe and clean pool. Which is really important! I'm glad I found Gustavo and his company and I'm sure I'll be using his business for many years to come. Unfortunately there are a lot of bad pool companies out there, and from my personal experience I know how important is to have good reliable pool service company. Thank you guys! read more

What a difference! This company is so reliable and does a phenomenal job. My last pool service would literally only skim my pool and ignored so many things causing damage. Competitive Pool Service is a great company . I have been using them for a long time.

Competitive pools is one of the best pool companies out there! Gustavo, Steve, and Diego are some of the sweetest men you'll meet! They work hard to find the parts a customer needs and make sure they are doing the job right! They have great customer service and are very attentive! They are all really great guys and offer great business! Thank you for all you guys do, keep up the good work! Highly recommend! read more

They bid my job at 900 bucks, 400 dollars more than 3 other estimates I received. Since the job took about 90 minutes that's a pretty high hourly rate. They may do great work, but at that price I will never know. Perhaps they didn't want the job and just threw out a high number to chase me away. If so, mission accomplished. Competitive? Nope. read more

Gustavo is very down to earth and wonderful to work with. Our pool water probably hadn't been changed out for at least 5 yrs. Gustavo drained it overnight and then the next day acid washed it to look brand new. He's going to bead blast our tiles soon, will post an updated review then. So far so good! UPDATE Tile bead blasting produced amazing results! It seemed like a long process, but Gustavo and his teammate powered through it till the very end. We were so happy with his service that we decided to go with his monthly service. Highly recommended! read more

Met with several contractors to replace my pool skimmer for a leak. Texted Gustavo about this issue and forwarded pictures of the leak. With in a hour he gave me a estimate. It was a professional repair and they left the property clean. It's been a few days since the repair and no issues, thanks Gustavo & your crew. John read more

No call no show. I reached out to Competitive pool service for weekly maintenance quote. I got a response fairly quickly. Gustavo was quick to ask for my address and said he would come over the next day. I asked when he was planning to come over. Nothing in response.
