Tony and his team did a fantastic job with replacement of the carpet in the 2nd and 3rd floor of our house. They were extremely patient with us from the selection of the wood to the final touches at our house. They allowed us to take many samples of wood to our house, multiple times, until we were completely satisfied. The did an excellent job with the entire project, which presented several challenges. As the carpet was removed it was discovered that the floor was very uneven. Tony quickly found a contractor to address the issue. The entire crew was very polite and efficient. Celestino was excellent and very detail oriented. All wore masks as required as we are going through the coronavirus pandemic. The installation period was incredibly quick. Yes, I went to Home Depot & Lowes--- and both needed ridiculous lead times just to come out and measure. I had contacted unique flooring inquiring about durable types of wood flooring as I have had manufactured veneer flooring for years that they originally called hardwood floors which is an oxymoron, and I have dings dents scratches and gouges from dogs to furniture. But the flooring I purchased from them was made by US floors and it's amazing I am so happy with the work they did their service they were on schedule and they knocked it out in good time, not to mention they were very clean and helpful. When I called them they promptly responded by sending out their estimator STEVE. He did a good job, but could not quote us a price or write us a estimate at that time, ( even though I told him I was in a hurry and wanted the bid quickly as I was getting the installation done VERY SOON) He said Anthony the owner would respond quickly with a price emailed to me. After two days of waiting for a reply and sending him a email I STILL had heard nothing,so I call his office and was told "OH YEA" he's working on the quote, by the way "what did you want installed" I again waited and finally after a couple of hours I learned all my time had been wasted. The lower priced install of sheet vinyl requested was $4k, 1k above the 3k I was able to obtain from a licensed flooring contractor for "wood like" vinyl plank flooring completely installed, including demo of carpet and laminate flooring. His price for the same plank vinyl flooring I am getting install next week was 6.5k.., 3.5k more than what I'm paying... Good luck using this guy read more

I would highly recommend using Unique Flooring/ Tony for your flooring contractor. I had engineered hardwood installed throughout my home as well as new baseboard. We had a significant issue due to the fact that we did a floated floor instead of a glue down engineered hardwood application. Tony and his crew came back several times to make the job right. Tony is truly a business man who practices professionalism and honestly cares about your home and your satisfaction. Celestino his installation lead is truly gifted. He takes full charge of the installation and does beautiful work. I have gotten so many compliments on the base boards he did and the detail work he did around some tricky angles and stair steps. I found Unique flooring through an internet search, I was impressed with their 5 star ratings. I went there looking to replace outdated flooring at my place in Oceanside, I was specifically interested in tile that looked like hardwood. One of the associates, Erica, was very helpful, even wrote down names and addresses of tile distributers near by, that they had relationships with, and that would give me even more choices. Ended up back at Unique Flooring a few days later and worked with another associate, Judy, she told me to take some samples home and encourage me to take one sample that I liked, but believed was too bold. (Of course that's the one I eventually went with). I sat down with the owner, Tony, to work out a deal, in the process he told me his Father laid tile, and as a boy, he would work with his Dad. He explained what a perfectionist his Father was, and if Tony didn't do it right, he make him start over. Tony told me working with his father and paying attention to all aspect of the flooring business, is what eventually enabled him open his own flooring store. After I signed a contract, we set up a reasonable installation date . Where do I start, Tony and his team at Unique flooring did a great job from start to finish, first we had Tony out to our home about 6 months ago to lay the wood floor in our new garden room, and it turned out better than we could have hoped for. After searching for someone to provide laminate flooring and installation for months we finally decided to go with Tony and his team. As someone with experience in the contracting industry for many years I had pretty high expectations when it came to quality and price. We got a few other quotes from independent companies in addition to looking at the Lowe's and Home Depot option. The other companies were more expensive for install with lower quality material. Hone Depot for example offered 8 mil material which is crap and easily scratches. They are so about 30% more expensive. Tony offered a really nice looking 12 mil material with installation including base boards at a far better price. His team was on time and did a top notch job with the install. Leveled the floors which were bad (concrete in an up stairs condo) for a small up charge. Used a nice weather and sound proof material. Did an awesome job with the base board and trim. We had old carpet removed from most of the house and replaced with tile, with recarpeting of the stairs and new baseboards. We got estimates from three well-reputed companies. When Tony called to follow up, I told him we liked his company and the pricing was a little better than the others, but we really liked a particular tile we saw elsewhere. Tony managed to find this tile at a slightly lower price than the other company quoted us. He was easy to reach and patient with our numerous questions. Everyone who came to our house was friendly and hardworking. Kudos especially to Gabriel and Juan, the tile crew who spent the most time here. They were fantastic about cleaning up every day and making sure we had livable spaces and access to important areas. Crews even worked Saturdays to finish in the estimated 2 weeks. When I asked about re-fastening the curtain pull cords to the new baseboards (something I don't think was specifically included or excluded in the estimate) Tony sent someone out later to do it.
