My wife and I were looking to try something new and decided upon this place. The pictures, reviews, location and building all looked so promising - it wasn't inedible or nasty or anything, just real meh.... I wanted to like this place and the vibe looked great until the server told us that the video on loop was actually the owner. She was doing things like traveling, shopping, vacationing - very bold of her to put up stills of this instead of the food.....besides, that already put me off that I paid $16 for a beef bowl that could've had for a third of the price at Yoshinoya and I hate to say tasted better than this. My wife ordered a roll and croquette which were more show than taste. Nice try but falls well short. read more

I went there with my friends food took for ever to come out there was two girls working and while one was tending another table the other one just saw us sit down and ignored us it was a bit uncomfortable there was some half naked lady dancing on some tv and I also saw who I guess it's either the boss or manager yelled at the girl that was doing her work food was okay I've had better but I don't know the vibes just weren't good read more

OMG I'm so excited for this place! The manager first off is so nice he let us sample some spicy tuna bites on the night we came everything we had was soo good that we came back the next night. Spicy miso ramen, Tonkotsu, spicy tuna roll and shrimp gyoza all incredible. This place was needed here. I'm excited to try more things on the menu. Good luck unique cafe. It's really nice inside way nicer than expected! Oh my only feedback is the name and the sign outside maybe something more modern it's just somewhat bulky outside. read more

Unique Cafe - Boba milk tea - Japanese Near Me - Ontario, California

Man this place is beautiful, I walk in and they're playing incredible music; I'm talkin 70s fusion jazz! The boba was incredible and the teriyaki bowl had all sorts of veggies in it! Really an incredible place, and above all the staff was nothing but smiles and great service! Definitely give this place a chance, I surely enjoy the calm of this Sunday cafe ambiance, but I'd love to see it packed out! read more

Unique Cafe - PERFECT AMBIANCE - Japanese Near Me - Ontario, California

What a great addition to downtown ontario. Amazing atmosphere and food, I would highly recommend!

Great cafe with a lot of upcoming potential. Had lunch there with my friends. Enjoyed the milk tea boba, tonkotsu ramen and Sapporo on draft. They also gave us a sample of squid that has not been on the menu yet. First time trying squid and it was great. Very flavorful with the ginger and sesame Staff was very nice and friendly, checked in on how we enjoyed the food and even asked for input to ensure future visits and growth. Ambiance is phenomenal. Very comfortable and clean inside. Tables varied from table, booth, bar, and lounge with a view of the street. Alot of potential for this spot. Few ideas I hope to see: 1) More publicity as it is easy to pass by as the front blends in with the neighboring shops and with cars parked on the street also limits the view. 2) A broader menu with more options and sides. And easier menus to read as they were just a sheet 3) The tv and music was everywhere. Different shows and music. Sounded very clustered. Perhaps settle on one theme for the visuals and music. 4) some recreations for the lounge are like board games, books, etc would provide a nice touch for those who stay a little longer and give it that cafe feel where someone can enjoy their meal and socialize. I know this all takes time and development but overall great experience, great food and environment and a lot of potential here! read more

This was is such a cute hidden gem! It has such a cozy vibe and the food looks exactly like the pictures! We got the Caterpillar Roll, Crunchy roll, and the teriyaki beef bowl! All were so good! The customer service was amazing as well. All the staff were so kind and informative. We will definitely be back to try the Matcha Tiramisu imported from Japan! read more

Saw this new spot by my studio today.. Definitely a good place to try out. They have a little bit of everything. The name says it all. I had the Teriyaki chicken curry. My food had lots of flavor and worth every bite. The service was spectacular. Both our waitress and another gentlemen made sure everything was good from start to finish. It's also super nice and decorated inside. Definirle a fondare able ambiance and place to go catch a good talk and some boba. I love supporting small businesses. Go check this place out! read more

The ramen was amazing! My family and I cannot wait to go back. The service was great and the food was delicious. As a first timer it did not disappoint. The matcha tiramisu was also tasty! read more

You guys!!!! This place was SOOOOOOOOO SOOOO delicious. This is the spot I will exclusively be going to and telling everyone about for the IE. Every dish had so much flavor, and it came out fast. The Ramen broth is so rich and like a warm hug. It's spicy but not overwhelming. Sushi was fresh ingredients and well worth the price. I love how modern it is inside its super cute and clean. It defines what you think of when going to sushi. Seriously 12/10. Can't wait to come back and try read more

This place ambience is nice and calm except for the videos on the wall. Great hang out place for the weekend or even lunch break if you're in the near by businesses. Food does not take long to come out. I would say a nice place for a first date meet up too. One down fall is the parking. You have to find curb parking. I'm not to sure if there's back parking lot. If there is, you would have to walk around to the front. The food and presentation are good. The boba drinks are excellent. Their price is quite reasonable especially on the drinks. They have a varieties of appetizers, salads and boba drinks. read more

We're so glad to come across this restaurant! I went here with my kids after a day at the park. We ordered creamy curry shrimp udon, tonkatsu ramen, karaage, crunchy roll, california roll, teriyaki chicken donburi, matcha tiramisu and black sugar boba. The creamy udon was delicate, rich and very delicious. The shrimp and udon were cooked perfectly. Tonkatsu ramen had very flavorful broth and the toppings were plentiful and good quality. The chasu pork was delicious. My kids had no complaints with their sushi rolls. It was a decent size and the rice was cooked perfectly. The teriyaki chicken was surprisingly very good. We initially thought it would just be a generic dish but they really put a lot of pride making it. The chicken was well seasoned and juicy, sauce was good and, of course, the rice was well steamed. The karaage was good but my kids said it had too much breading. The tiramisu was very delightful and a good treat. Last but not least, the black sugar boba drink was smooth and a great way to wash down our meal. We look forward to eating here again. read more

This place is legit for their curry and ramen. My whole family love it. Full of flavors.

The environment and vibe is very nice but the food were not good. i tried the beef curry and tempura udon. The curry is too salty and VERY watery and udon soup is very blend. Will never come again. read more

My husband and I came here for dinner and the place is so charming! The vibes, the food, and the staff are all 10/10. Melanie helped us at the front and was so attentive while we sat and ate. We will definitely be coming back to try everything else they have to offer! read more

Came here ordering a dynamite roll thinking it was the same as others.... They have no photos of the food. I look at how it comes drenched in siracha and jalapeños which i medically cannot have. The girl was rude and didn't want to replace it instead wanted to charge me for another roll because it was my fault i ordered it. Such shitty customer service read more

The ambiance was very odd and unnerving, two TV's are dedicated to showing videos of the owner (?) and other women dancing and in bikinis. The food was very obviously inauthentic, underwhelming, and not accurate to the pictures they provide. The service itself was so medicore that it could have just been self-order and self-serve. Overall, I regret spending my money here and the 5 star reviews seem fishy. read more

Food was delicious and service was awesome!! Beautifully decorated and we will be back to try more items. We had the beef teriyaki salad, the teriyaki bowl and requested the shrimp house fried rice, which was awesome and super rich!! read more

Unique Cafe - To die for - Japanese Near Me - Ontario, California

Unfriendly staff and service ! The spicy tuna roll was not good, it tastes like if it was just sitting there for days.

Good service, cozy atmosphere. The food was decent but not outstanding. We had the Crunchy Dragon Roll, pork katsu curry, tonkatsu ramen, Japanese green tea, and ended with the Matcha Cheesecake and Matcha Tiramisu. The dragon crunchy roll was very tasty! The tonkatsu ramen was good but not oustanding. The pork for the katsu curry was a little tough, but the curry itself was tasty. For dessert, we say pass on the matcha cheesecake and matcha tiramisu. They looked store bought and had very bland flavors. The NY cheesecake or regular tiramisu may have been better choices! read more

Tried this place after seeing it mentioned in a newspaper article. Everything they said is true. Great set up and vibe, the owner was very personable and friendly, and best of all the ramen was super good! Will definitely be back read more

The workers are nice but inattentive for a 'sit down' place, it's spacious but the space is odd and hard to make sense of. And on food.

The ambiance was amazing, and the service was great, but the food was just awesome and delicious, I definitely recommend this place

Tried this place for the first time. It was good. I ordered the Chilaquiles the café de la olla was very good. I would recommend this place.

They are stingy with the food. Its overpriced but they don't offer a lot based on portion. For a tonkotsu ramen they only give you a single slice of chasu. I basically had a bowl of just noodles and sesame seeds. Yet their picture shows you get 3. 2 stars is only because the staff who waited us were kind and the customer service was nice. However out of all the ramen shop Ive been to, by far this was the worse. read more

They need to update there system to work, called at 9:30 to place a order, sent me a link to order online, made my order and was offered a way to pay or place the order, called a second time at 9:41 and spoke to someone to be told its to late now last call is at 9:40,UPDATE YOUR ONLINE ORDERING TO WORK OR DONT OFFER IT! read more

Got the Chicken Yakisoba here and thought it was alright for what it was. The service was alright as well. What brought this down a star was the fact there was a corner of the restaurant with two very large vertical monitors showcasing the owner/owner's wife(?) in a lot of bikini and vacation videos. Pretty distracting and not something I'd want to be seeing while eating but if you're into that then this place has that. read more

Been here before but had some criticisms this time! I ordered two spicy tonkotsu ramen and a takoyaki appetizer to go. My usual order is the Japanese pork curry with their brown sugar boba, never misses and is amazing but decided to try something new as spicy tonkotsu ramen and takoyaki is my boyfriend and I's favorite order at other ramen places. It ended up being a whopping $48 with taxes and tip, a little surprising because our usual spots total around $35-40 for a meal but I've been told before it's to cover minimum wage costs, which is fine by me but was a little taken back. Still, because of my previous experience, I didn't mind and went ahead with the order. I didn't say this before because I didn't put much thought to it- But the videos of that woman dancing around in a bikini and dresses in a boat or a beach or at dinner displayed in the restaurant is kinda weird and uncomfortable? Anyone who goes here knows what I'm talking about but it's kinda crazy! Not really something I want to see when eating to be honest, especially if I want to eat here with my parents Anyways, we got the ramen and takoyaki. Takoyaki was pretty good but not sure if I would order again for $10 when it's 6 pieces. The ramen was the most disappointing and would definitely not order again, which is disappointing as a ramen lover and as someone who was excited to have ramen down the street from my house! For $16, it was not worth it at all and would go somewhere else and I wish they had done more with it- At least a piece of an extra meat (which was already super thin) or an egg. I think there's an option for spice on the side or extras but that's not the point since for so much, I feel like I get so little. Kotsu is a few miles away and for a dollar more, I feel like I get more bang for my buck. Also, I love spicy ramen and spice in general, but this spice really overtook the broth and I can barely taste anything but spice. There's usually a creamy, garlicky balance with the spice when I usually have spicy tonkotsu so for it to be so spicy was something else. I still love Unique Cafe and the staff is very friendly and the curry rice is amazing, along with the drinks and desserts. This experience was a little off putting but I think I'll stick to my usual order! read more

This place is okay at best. The aesthetic and appearance of the food is great however the taste/portion is subpar. The owner has tv screens broadcasting herself dancing in provocative clothing so that contradicts the rest of the restaurants aesthetic. The decor is cute though. read more

Great service , great food but the management does need a little work I oversaw the owner yelling at a worker talking bad about them I over heard her tell her own worker that she needs to start thinking and about a month ago I was actually here and saw the owner throw a lemon at her worker I don't know if they were messing around but it looked badI don't think that's right from the owner. They also need maybe put food on the screens it was really uncomfortable eating while seeing girls in a bikini , they appeared more than once. read more
