This place ROCKS!! We have been to Union Jacks 5 times in the last 3 days! 1) Friendly staff that remembers us! 2) Delicious gluten free options, including sandwiches and pizza! 3) Fun atmosphere! Preparties and after- parties! Great bands! Karaoke! 4) Great location!

Best fish and chips! TV's and a big-screen TV We've come here for years, and we've always loved their generous flakey moist crispy fried-fish and chips. A quiet Sunday in Sep '24 was a comfortable friendly refuge after a long trip. We also had a tasty veggie burger, and several draft and craft beers. We always dine near the bar, partly for the friendly bartenders and servers, and partly for sports on many tvs, including s big-screen by the pool table! Plenty of parking just across the entryway or and a garage just down the access road.

First time here and definitely coming back. The place is large with a vibe . This a good place to come catch a game or just enjoy drinks with friends. The service is good and quick . The calamari is AMAZING , the bread pudding is beyond fulfilling . The prices are reasonable . Plenty of street parking .

The gluten-free pizza crust was a good texture, though I wish the Margherita pizza had some sauce on it rather than just cheese and tomato slices. I was really happy to find that they have a dedicated fryer for gluten-free items, so you can order a variety of things here if that's a concern for you. Our server was very kind and attentive, and it was nice to sit on the patio in the evening. The inside of the restaurant seemed a bit dark and didn't get a lot of sunlight, which heavily influenced my choice to sit outside. The food wasn't anything special, but it was good, and I wouldn't turn anyone away from giving it a try.

Came to get fish and chips for Easter weekend. The fish and chips were very good. Crispy fish was very tasty but could have been better seasoned. I had the honey old wings which were the best wings I've had in sometime. They were the right level of sweetness and the old bay was not overpowering. Perfectly balanced appetizer. My rating is based on service. Our drinks weren't very cold. She we ordered we asked to have the wings brought out first but everything came at once. Tables say unbussed and it was distracting. They only were cleared if they needed to seat someone. Upside is the server was nice but overwhelmed due to lack of staffing.

Just a short walk from Meriweather post, this British pub makes legit fish and chips. Decent tap selection which includes 2 English ciders. We visited before the Zack Brown concert, and the live band playing at the pub for right in. Their outside patio was packed 2 hours before the show, so service was a bit slow to handle such a crowd, but service was friendly and welcoming. Inside there is a large area to grab a pint and stand around. Menu is beyond British pub fare, to include salads and even shrimp tacos.

The reviews are definitely harsh, based on my two experiences here. The ambiance is quite nice, with tons of bar seating and dining. The customer service was also excellent, especially the first time around. As for the food, it was pretty good! I ordered fish & chips both times, and they were good, with great portions. My girl ordered their beet salad, and she was also rather impressed.

I came for a visit with a few friends on their trivia night hosted by Charm City Trivia. The trivia was fun, but the food and service left a lot to be desired. Our visit happened to coincide with a concert, so the place was packed with people looking to grab a quick bite before their show. We were told that due to the concert, they had a shortened menu selection (photos shown of the concert/event menu). After deciding on what to order, we struggled to flag down a waiter. When we finally got ahold of a waiter, they kept forgetting to bring us cups of water. The food took a very long time to come out, but I hope this was just due to the large number of guests during our visit. Unfortunately, none of our dishes were particularly good. I had the fish and chips, which were incredibly bland and not very crispy at all. My friend got the Pub Philly, and it tasted so bad that she didn't even finish eating one of the sandwich halves... The only dish I would consider ordering again in the future is the Chicken Banger Rolls - at least they had some semblance of flavor. One member of the party really wanted the Reuben, which is not available on the event menu. However, staff told us that at around 7-7:30pm after the concert begins, they would switch back to the regular menu. So my friend decided to wait until that time to order the Reuben. At 7:30pm, trivia started. Again, we struggled to flag down a waiter. Finally, after 8pm, my friend walked to the bar to speak with someone to place an order. Her food came out incredibly late even though all the concert-goers were already gone. Honestly, I don't think I will ever come back unless I really want to participate in another Charm City Trivia night. The service is so bad, and the food I tried was not very good.

We came here after a festival in Columbia and it was a good time. We stumbled upon trivia which was really fun! I had the fish and chips and it was absolutely delicious. The service was a little slow and I was only able to get one old fashioned because they ran out of bitters. Other than that it was an enjoyable experience. I'll def be back.

Met some friends here on a Saturday for lunch. We started off with an order of pretzels with cheese sauce and fried pickles. Both appetizers were delish! For entrees, I went with the chicken tenders and an order of fries. I really liked batter on the tenders, it gave them a nice crisp. The fries were just meh. My fiancé ordered off the brunch menu and got the Crème brûlée French toast. He said it was "surprisingly delicious." All entree portions were very large that most of us left with a box in hand. There are some pool tables and darts near the back of the restaurant- def a good place to get a group together!

    BROWNIE SUNDAE

Very surprised by this place. Did not expect the food to be good at all, but it was amazing. Everything was extremely fresh and could tell it was just made. The pretzels were right out of the fryer/oven, unlike the food market down the street (those are stale unlike these ones) Salmon was great. waitress Alex very nice and welcoming.

    Fish n Chips. Excellent grub.

(Apr 2026). We hunted among filled tables until we found a one-seat open high-top and managed to beg another seat from elsewhere. We had a great view of the stage. We ordered beers directly from the bar because our table was sort of improvised. We got a Burger Shark draft, a smooth malty amber ale from Odenton's own Crooked Crab. And a good-old ice-cold bottled Natty Boh lager. The drinks were served right away. And in those few minutes, staff (it looked like a hands-on chip-in manager!) took us on at our invented table, and got our out-of-order food-order to us pretty quickly. We had a piping-hot sweet tender Yuengling-Beer-Battered Cod Sandwich on a brioche-textured bun, with a classic thick-yet-light crispy batter, american cheese, lettuce, and lightly spicy ranch. And a savory Grilled Smoked Portobello on a thick pretzel bun, piled high with roasted red peppers, onions, provolone, and lettuce. Both delicious and inexpensive. The band was lots of fun! Of course we knew every song. The band landed every riff and musical phrase that you know and love, yes they can hit Paul's high notes! And they bring enough original touches to each song to make the music their own. Tonight was their quartet (not their 6-piece band), and each musician had the lead in at least one song. They are loud, filling the room even with all the people soaking up the vibes. I almost didn't mention that Sonoma's keeps a dance-floor open in front of the stage, and we rocked all evening! We had a great boisterous, thirst-quenching, tasty, welcoming evening. I would expect this shopping center to re-grow around this popular long-time restaurant-bar music-venue (since 1996!). TLDR location info next, but it might save you a trip to the wrong shopping center. You'll find Sonoma's in the "Owen Brown Village Shopping Center" on the south arm of Cradlerock Way circle off Broken Land Parkway. This is the Center with the gas station, not the center next door with the big-chain grocery, and not the smaller center with the convenience store around the north arm of Cradlerock. This center is somewhat sleepy these days, so there's plenty of parking. There's more parking in a northeast lot, too. From the main lot, you walk by the nail salon, then turn between the buildings where the Chick 'n Friends chicken-shop used to be. (Best Pressure-fried Chicken and delicious catfish now at a different location!) It's a short walk southeast to Sonoma's on the right, with outdoor tables and a bright blue-and-yellow hard-seltzer ad facing the Lake Eikhorn trail and the back of the grocery. The actual Sonoma's sign above the entrance is subtle compared with the bright window ad.

I also ordered a margarita. The ambiance was cozy and comfortable. Our food arrived in a decent time. The wings were good: cooked well and with an adequate amount of glaze. The appetizer trio was ok: basic onion rings, mozzarella sticks, and the pretzel bits with the cheese sauce. The margarita was good with an adequate amount of alcohol (I was not driving! The cheeseburger was indeed in a pool of cheese, but some was melted and some was not, like the cheese was an afterthought. When I went to pick up the burger half off the skillet, it was stuck to the skillet; obviously the burger had been placed on the hot skillet before the cheese was added, which tracts with the cheese being half melted to begin with, which was a disappointment. The fries were hot and good and as the cheese finally melted, I was able to dip my fries in the cheese and it sort of made up for the burger debacle. The burger was good, with cheese, bacon and on a fresh bun, but it was stuck to that skillet and as I was trying to get it off, the bun started to fall apart. All in all it was just an ok for me. The wings were the winner for us. In the future, I'll order the traditional cheeseburger and if I can, order a side of cheese to dunk my burger and fries in.

We seated ourselves and the server came over promptly to take our drink orders while we perused the menu. The offerings are simple - a few appetizers, salads, and a wide variety of personal sized pizzas with numerous topping combinations. Our drinks arrived quickly we placed our order. My friend tried one of their craft beer offerings, Black Dog, listed as an Irish Stout, and mentioned it was good, but probably not memorable, lacking a depth and smoothness when compared to the classic Guiness, but drinkable and for a local product it was better than most craft brewery attempts at stout varieties.   We chose to split a Caesar's salad and chose the Spinach Pizza and Dog Pound Pizza for our main course. As we waited, numerous other staff came by to check on us verging on the edge of being annoying. While friendly in their approach, it seemed like a bit of overkill considering we had our drinks and were waiting for our pizzas. The place was less than half full, so they were probably just trying to be attentive and friendly. The salad and Dog Pound Pizza arrived soon after but there was no sign of my Spinach Pizza. If you'd like the salad before the pizza, I'd suggest you let them know in advance. After a few minutes we mentioned it to one of the servers checking on us, they went to check and returned saying it would be another 5 minutes or so - I think they forgot when they put the order into the kitchen.   The salad portion was quite large and was quite good for a Caesar salad and frankly, better than a lot of fancier establishments, plus there was enough for leftovers. We were a little disappointed with the pizzas themselves. The toppings were plentiful, maybe to a fault, and tasty but there was something lacking. For a specialty pizza place I would have expected a better crust - for both pizzas it was a bit soggy and difficult to lift off the plate for a proper bite. We ended up eating with a fork. Heartier appetites would finish the individually sized pizzas, but we had enough to take home for lunch the next day.   The atmosphere is sports bar like; the service prompt, courteous, and maybe a bit over-attentive; the portions and toppings generous; the price is extremely fair - a decent choice if you're in the neighborhood, but not quite a foodie destination establishment unless perhaps you're a beer enthusiast.
