Great place to get your eyes checked and get glasses! I brought my daughter who needed her eyes checked, and as soon as I entered this place it was clean, neat, and kid friendly. Staff were all very nice and helpful to get all services we needed. The optometrist was very thorough and talked to my daughter very nice and easy for her to understand the whole process. I also got a good lesson to learn about the importance of regular eye exam. They have a variety selection of kids glasses, and they helped us to get reimbursed from our vision insurance accordingly. I first came here almost a year ago to get my own glasses with a prescription that I had. This place is close by home, convenient and I know many people who have recommended them. The person who helped me was very nice and the experience was efficient and easy. I will say I did see on their Instagram and other friends IG stories of them providing them coffee or drinks while waiting and kids playing games and such but I NEVER experienced that or ever offered anything while we waited. I came again about 6 months ago or so. This time for my son. It was a busy Saturday but they squeezed us in for an eye exam and we picked out his glasses and I even bought another pair for myself. The same person who helped me the first time I came in, helped me and again my experience with him was good and everything went well. We were there for almost two hours but our experience was consistent and he was very patient and courteous. My son had his eye exam with an older, Caucasian optometrist who was quite chatty but nice and made my son's first time experience at the eye doctor comfortable. We came back after a few days to pick up the glasses and again the same man who helped us was nice and courteous. I came back last week because the film on my son's glasses was peeling and it was impeding his vision. Granted we came in just before closing (Wednesday at 6:15), BUT it was only just to inquire and ask about the process and what I needed to do. This person was dismissive and rude. I asked why lenses would peel and he proceeded to compare it to a car accident and said it just happens and you have bad luck. (I mean glasses peeling and a car accident have no correlation but he wanted to make me feel some kind of way and it is not nice to make your clients feel dumb or try to make them feel that way at all). It seemed to me that he just wanted to close and wanted me out. It was not yet 630 but I did feel rushed with other employees banging on the guard rails and shutting the doors. He did however explain that they had replacement lenses available and it would take an hour to fix. He told me to call ahead so I said thank you and left. I returned today exactly one week later. I called ahead as advised. I spoke to a woman who basically said the same thing and told me to come in before 5 and they could be ready in an hour. We arrived at 430 and the woman (owner's wife) whom I spoke to on the phone, helped explain the process and again was pleasant. She did transfer our conversation I was having with her to another man (according to other reviews, he's the owner, Danny) He gave me information about an "insurance" like program they offered and I asked why that was not offered the first time so that I could benefit from it this time and he basically said some employees share that information some don't but it's POSTED and implied I should have read it. I did explain that previous time was the first time experience with us but that was dismissed. Truthfully, being a business owner and salesperson myself, I would have extended the courtesy and provided the program so I could purchase it and use it for my current situation. It's only $20. However, he did not and I did not want to press with someone who was already standoffish. I did also asked about the quality of their lenses and why lenses would "peel". He explained other things that could be more preventive like blue light etc but I needed my kids to get to a class and my son needed his glasses for school the next day so I just said to do the same lenses they had done previously. I told him that I would be there by 615 after the kids' class but he then said they wouldn't be able to adjust the glasses accordingly and would have to just take it as is. Needless to say, I was worried his glasses may not fit properly, I pulled my kids out of a class I have to pay for, 10 minutes early so we could get there earlier. We arrived at 6:06pm and the glasses were already ready. A different man handed us the glasses and said they did not need to be adjusted since it was current glasses my son was wearing. I asked if he was sure since the man I spoke to earlier today told us I needed to come with enough time for adjustments and he said no and didn't even actually even touch or handle the glasses. I handed my 9 year old his glasses, he picked them up, put it on his face and we left. What was the point of telling me then that the glasses would not be adjusted or fitted if we were to come at 615?! This business is convenient and overall their price and products are fair enough but I just wish my experience was always pleasant and consistent when I come in. I hope they can adjust their annoyance to their tone and stature and instead take that opportunity to educate their customers about their products and services. Hopefully, they will become much more consistent in their customer service experience. read more
