Crab Dip Pull Apart Bread
Karen P.

Had to wait a little bit for a table to open up outside where we could sit with the dog. There was a concert nearby so I think lots of folks thought to grab a bite here before the show. It was definitely worth the wait though. We got the pull apart crab bread and loved it. The garlic wings were good but could have been a little more flavorful. The standout was the Trifecta pizza. So flavorful and perfect crust. Servers were really nice too! Looking forward to trying more. They also had happy hour deals 4-8pm.

I have had great experiences at Underground Pizza. I have gone a couple of times just recently, and I was very pleased with my experience. There is seating both inside and outside. The wait staff are attentive, patient, and accommodating. The food is phenomenal. I ordered the Wedge Salad and the Kale Caesar Salad. Both were generous portions and were reasonably priced. The menu says they feed 2-4, but I ordered them as my entree and found the portion to be right for me. I can't wait to go back and try something else.

The crab rangoon pizza here has been calling my name and was top on my list to try on a recent visit Baltimore. Definitely worth the trip! It's absolutely loaded with real lump crab and each slice has a whole crab rangoon! Flavor was great, price was reasonable, and service was pretty good for a busy Saturday. The menu had a ton of other unique flavor combos for their Detroit style pizzas so I'll definitely be back to try some more, or I'll just keep ordering the crab rangoon!

I am now a fan of Detroit style pizza! I ordered the margarita pizza which was not as traditional as Italian ones, but was very delicious! The pizza fries were thoroughly enjoyed by my sister - especially the pepperonis. The fires were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, which is perfect in my book. One thing I loved was how the staff balances the workload. Instead of one server being assigned to one section, all the servers check on all the tables. Overall, the friendly staff and tasty food made this a perfect casual pizza spot!

I've heard great things about Underground Pizza and was excited to try it! We ordered via delivery which came from DoorDash. We ordered a pizza with mushrooms and sausage and Buffalo wings. The wings were very good and had a nice kick. Also enjoyed the pizza. I appreciated the restaurant included instructions for reheating if needed. The pizza was tasty. Loved the sauce and the toppings and the crisp edges. Could have used a bit more cheese in my opinion, but will order extra next time (also just really love cheese haha). I love Detroit style pizza and this spot definitely hit the craving. The small is four pieces and we had one leftover since it's quite filling. Also loved it wasn't overly greasy for a thick pie. I will definitely order from Underground again!

Went back this week and it was amazing AGAIN! The staff there is so sweet! I spent my birthday eating amazingly locally sourced pizza with my mannnnnnnnn! Underground Pizza is undefeated in my book!

Ive been to this establishment several times in the past. Due to the previous experience being good I decided to dine here. Parking anywhere downtown especially the inner harbor on the street is very limited; and the parking garages are insane at times. I found parking and made way to this establishment at the Power Plant. There was a Flippino festival going on at Power Plant as well. When we entered the establishment, we were immediately seated. Seating is only at high tops or the bar. We started off with a couple drinks, old bay wings and cheesesteak sliders. The drinks were ok, not 5 star rating. The cheesesteak sliders were okay as well. We ordered Old bay fries which came out great. After digesting the wings, sliders and fries we ordered the Peppers and Onions pizza with added spinach. The pizza came out very light. Ive had this pizza previously and it was toasted and not doughy. There was very little cheese. The pizza disappointed. So after all, I was very disappointed with the choice of this establishment today. Absolutely nothing but the friendly attentive staff was a plus. The staff were beyond attentive. It could be a bad day but definitely not good since I havent been here in about 3 plus years. The prices has increased tremendously as well. I wouldnt say not to go but based on today, I would be skeptical to return again for myself in the future.

Last night in Chicago we came here after wedding and no reservation, these people know how to take care of their customers. Food was amazing. We had a little of everything from pizza, wings, salad and drinks!! Best bar in town hands down! Great atmosphere and something for everyone. Thank you guys!!

Yumm this was such a good find for Detroit style pizza. I ordered online and picked it up, a seamless process. No hate to the location but the parking situation was a little rough. I was hoping to park on the street to run in but ended up driving around for 10+ minutes before ending up in the lot. Turns out my parking was free so it worked out just fine. For the food, I got the cheese pizza with prosciutto and the mango habanero wings. The pizza was fantastic, and I really liked that you can order a half portion which was great for 2 people. The crust was crispy, and the cheese and sauce were great, and it was packed with prosciutto. The wings were also great, I loved the sauce and the sesame seeds on some of them which was a fun twist.

We went for happy hour, and we really enjoyed their drinks and wings. Happy hour is only during the week, and the pizza was a good size. We also got the crab dip pull apart bread. It was good

I always find myself craving the crab dip pizza every once in a while, it's so worth it. They put a lot of crab on it and the flavor is really good. I'm a big fan of the Detroit style crust. It's a little hard to find parking since it's inside power plant, so sometimes I just order delivery. I'm usually full after like 2 pieces since it's pretty thick, and the pizza still tastes great after reheating it the day after.

What a great spin on Detroit style pizza! Bold flavors, creative menu, fair pricing and good vibes. Now I will say the pizza is great but it's very expensive. For $24 you only get 4 slices of pizza. Not family budget friendly but definitely good pizza.

The Jersey Turnpike (Tomato Pie) w/ Pepperoni!...Delicious!!

10 out of 10! And, the hype is real!! What a great spot! The service was great and the Pizza....freaking delicious!! We came here after a night of hanging out next door at the Power Plant Live venue. The vibe here is really cool. We ordered the CBR, Tiger King, some orange crushes, mozzarella sticks and arancini balls. The pizzas were thick and we were so glad we went with our choices. Hands down!....The Tiger King!! RUN...& DON'T WALK TO ORDER THIS THING! This pizza is loaded with the meats....spicy sausage, bacon, cup pepperoni, mozzarella cheese.... and a honey glaze drizzle that heighten the pizza. We also added green peppers and onions which took it to the next level! The CBR stands for chicken bacon ranch. Just imagine a buffalo chicken pizza this is what you get. We ordered two full size pizzas and it was more than enough to eat there and we had plenty to take home. . The mozzarella sticks and arancini balls are a must order as well...if you are a cheese lover! On to the drinks....the bar menu and drinks are extensive. They feature a wide selection of drinks at their bar. The popular drinks in the house were the "Crushes!" They are very popular.and plenty flavors.... Orange, Peach, Strawberry, Lime...to name a few. Covid wise Underground does not play. The Staff here is really friendly and they can break down the popular pizzas based on your preference. Totally worth the drive from DC or a must stop when visiting the Baltimore Harbor area. I'll definitely be back to try their other pizzas. Just wished there was a sampler type menu where you can try +4 different pizza! Because, all the pizzas on the menu were calling me. LOL!! *ELITE TIP: The menu changes and updates with featured pizzas.....subscribe to their IG for discount deals and to stay in them know of new pizzas soon to be offered.

I'm giving this 5 starts because the vegan pizza was great. The customer service wasn't great, but I think it was just our server.

Ask the Community - Underground Pizza

When are you going to open some locations in Virginia, like Merrifield and Springfield, around the beltway?

We had a project we were working on in Alexandria that fell through. We will look for other opportunities in the future but nothing planned at the moment

Is this place open to walk-in? We tried walking down to this place from Inner Harbor with kids and could not figure out how to even access the place! It was a Friday night (Power Plant Live! place was crowded) - we just couldn't get to you...

The district becomes 21+ at 9pm on fridays and Saturdays but if you talk to the front door people, they allow families to access. You can always text us at 443-347-6190 in the future

Do you deliver?

Yes

Is parking free?

We validate parking, it’s $5-10 depending on the garage

Hi! How many people does a half pie usually feed?

We did 2 full pies for 4 people and had leftovers the next day. With the thicker dough, I'd say 1-2 slices per person pending appetite is a good measure. You won't be disappointed if you order too much! You'll be pissed if you don't order enough!

I read great reviews so, 1) I called. The number given on Yelp AND on their site is a non-working number. 2) I drive to this location and there is ZERO parking. What's the deal? Are they open for business or... ? Big time disappointed right now.

True, the entire operation is a shit-show. You're not imagining it-- there is NO parking and NO phone to call. The prices are extreme as well. Why would you go through all of this for an expensive, average pizza when there are LITERALLY HUNDREDS of…

I am very curious about trying this pizza but I keep hitting roadblocks. 1) the number listed here and on their site is inactive…

The number states to text it, whenever I have no problems. You will get an order confirmation and email. It's worth it!

My husband ordered his favorite - Chicken Francese - this is 3 chicken breasts egg-dipped in a white wine lemon butter sauce, which he asked to be served over fettuccine. I decided to try something new to me and ordered the Chicken Marsala, which was chicken and mushrooms in marsala sauce over linguine. Also ordered a Caesar salad which unfortunately did not come (again, the delivery had other issues so I don't think it was the fault of the restaurant). My bf loved the cheese ravioli. He thought the filling was tasty and enjoyed the sauce. Their red sauce is a more chunky sauce with onions which I did not taste because I'm not a fan, but he would get it again. I'm still looking for a smooth sauce for some chicken parm, but no worries since the menu here has plenty of different sauce options! I enjoyed the chicken francese. The chicken was very tender and it was a generous portion. I felt it could have used a bit more flavor, but the sauce was a nice consistency and the linguine was cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed the complimentary rolls that came with the meal. Overall, I enjoyed this spot and will try more items in the future!

All of the baked goods displayed on the counter entice you to indulge in a sweet treat before ordering a pizza. My first visit I just settled on some cookies and a jalapeno cheddar bagel, since I was on my way elsewhere for dinner. But let me tell you how the chocolate chip cookie instantly became one of my favorite bakery cookies. And the bagel was decadent for my morning breakfast, covered in cheddar cheese with those crispy edges that bake at the base of the bagel. Forno is officially one of those spots I will make the drive for. This was my second visit, and yes, I came all the way from Gaithersburg because the food is THAT good. It's a super cozy, family-owned, hole-in-the-wall Italian spot with such a warm, homey vibe. Nothing overly fancy or pretentious, just really good food, good wine, and the kind of atmosphere where you can settle in and stay awhile. The MUST order for me is the Arrosticini -- marinated lamb skewers grilled with lemon and EVOO and served with arugula. These are authentic Italian-style lamb skewers, and I'm telling you, you do not find these everywhere. They were so good we ordered TWO rounds. I almost went for a Third but they were sold out...no shame in my game. The fried artichokes were another standout, especially with the creamy cacio e pepe sauce. That sauce was so good I was dipping everything in it by the end of the meal. We also shared the meatballs, prosciutto burrata salad, and the Calabrian Sweet & Spicy pizza which is has fig jam, Calabrian chili, mozzarella, brie, and balsamic glaze. That sweet, spicy, creamy combo on the pizza was so good. We split a bottle of wine too, and I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable some of the bottle prices were. Sam took care of us and was incredibly personable and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. We ended up lounging on the couch, sipping wine, eating amazing Italian food, and just vibing. Honestly, such a good date-night or catch-up-with-friends kind of spot. Everything I've had at Forno has been delicious so far. Can't wait to be back! 100/10 recommend. Worth the drive. Come hungry, order the lamb skewers, and thank me later.
