The menu borders on vegetarian/vegan and would be much more at home in a large city like New York than a small town like Oneonta. You will not find another pizza place like this til you reach NYC. Their handmade dough is fluffy, chewy and baked to perfection! The garlic eggplant pie you can't get anywhere else. It is truly one of a kind and every bite is mouthwatering. My friend hates me because she craves this place all the time but lives 4hrs away from it. Seriously these guys know what they're doing. The salads are also very nice, super fresh and colorful. They have a great balsamic dressing as well. I wish this was a franchise so I'd be able to go to it more often. I was here a couple of months ago and it was amazing. The sandwiches there are out of this world. There were about 6 of this and every single person enjoyed their meal. The master stroke at this place in my opinion is the variety of drinks and one price. Keep it simple!! It works! One downside, I thought their menu was a bit confusing to find what I wanted personally and so did my companions. Nothing is worse than having to struggle to find everything. The worst part was I ordered (and loved my sandwich) but after getting my sandwich there was some sign off to the right and somewhere on the counter that I didn't see with exactly what I was looking for and would have preferred. Stuff was just too spread out to see it all. Either way, they made up for it with a fantastic sandwich. If I was near this place I'd go back again in a heartbeat! The pizza was okay. For something that is it's signature dish, I expected the actual pizza dough to taste better. I got a garlic eggplant pizza. The garlic flavor was great with eggplant, but the dough was disappointing. I loved the variety of desserts and drinks they had! Glass bottles are great. Sustainable! I've had several of their sandwiches before (autumn special and eggplant special are favs) but I wanted to try something different yesterday. I opted for the garlic and eggplant pizza. When my order was ready, I almost burned my fingers on the toasty hot crust. They make pizza to perfection - light, fluffy, crispy exterior - with perfectly creamy and tasty eggplant and generous topping of garlic oil. I only ate 2/5 slices at the time. I heated one in the toaster oven today and it still tasted amazing. I'm looking forward to trying other pizzas on the menu! read more

Well, I wasn't impressed at all. Dingy exterior and stark- echo creating interior. If the food was good that wouldn't matter. The limited menu seems their forte is pizza. Ordered the breaded eggplant 12" pie for $14.99. Didn't take long but neither did it's preparation. The small pieces of eggplant didn't have a stitch of breadcrumb but it doesn't end there. Came here for lunch with my notoriously vegetarian mother. I picked the place and didn't tell her where we were going. She was pleasantly surprised. The eggplant special sandwich is so delicious. My mom got a hefty, and colorful salad featuring, squash, mushrooms, carrots, onions, lettuce, peppers, tomatoes and a delicious balsamic vinaigrette. She also had the tomato soup which was okay. I love this little gem during lunch time. Anyone I ever know who has been to this town talks about Undercover Eggplant and how much they miss it. It is a place to be missed. The salads are huge, their drink selection is huge, and they have great food - what is not to like? Probably the long time during lunchtime because a lot of people come to enjoy it. I only ever order one thing from here and need to branch out but, seriously, I LOVE the veggie pizza. It's hard to pass up. It's great for my lunch and dinner when I'm feeling extra lazy. Some may not like the pizza because the crust is thick and doughy, it's not like a normal NY thin slice so don't be fooled. Super soft and tasty - my faves. Their sandwiches are big, I have gone with coworkers who really enjoy the sandwiches. I will need to branch out and get a salad, whenever I see one, I get jealous I didn't order it. Tons of seating indoor and outdoor. Great spot on a nice day to relax outside and have lunch. Parking lot can get crazy. Right next to the Dairy Queen so you can walk there for dessert, winning! Got it home and it was ordinary white bread--not grilled, not toasted...? (A mistake?) Meat piled all in the middle. Good ham, fresh, but just ok. "Free" pasta salad included with all orders fell short too. :( Neahwa: essentially a BLT with turkey & ham added... but only one sad, little piece of soft bacon in the whole thing. ??? Hmm. And LOTS of leaf lettuce. Assuming this was a bad day for them we will try again for a 2nd shot, but not in any rush. Stark, open restaurant design. Simple. Clean. The place stays busy and had most tables filled, so they must be doing something right. Loved the extensive, well-stocked bottled drink coolers--excellent marketing choice. Soooo delicious! We noticed the parking lot at this place was always packed at lunch. Thought they'd be open for dinner--good thing we called. They close at 7pm. We ordered our sandwiches to go and were not disappointed! I had the City of the Hills and it was just scrumptious. We also got the West End and the Po Boy. Both of those were tasty as well, although, the Po Boy was so spicy you had to pace yourself. I do not believe they have wine or beer service, however, I heard they own the store that sells those directly behind the restaurant.
