This was an awesome experience! It was easy to book and a great way to see and taste the best of Paso wine country. Laura Linda was our host and she came prepared with family friendly winery suggestions from the owner Katie. We went to J Duci first which was our favorite since the kids could run around and play while we enjoyed the wine and the views. Then we went to Shale Oak which is in a beautiful stainglass building and the wine was delish. Lastly we went to Sculpterra which was just OK. The pistachios they grow and "make" for purchase was the highlight here. Laura was a wonderful host and driver who was knowledgeable about the area and great with our kids. She even took them to the swings at J Duci and took a pic of the family. We highly recommend Uncorked. The only downside was the price ($360 for 4 hrs) and the lack of food. We cheaped out of buying the boxed lunch offered by uncorked thinking that the wineries would offer food. But we were wrong and got pretty drunk. :( Get the lunch. read more

Great tour experience-- checkout process was frustrating: Until we got back to the hotel, the tour was great. Our driver was friendly and pleasant to talk to. It was nice to talk to a local and hear their take on the Paso wine scene. We were picked up from the hotel at 1pm and returned at 6pm exactly. Keep in mind you'll be charged per hour (and not per person). When we got back to the hotel, the payment process was unnecessarily complicated. I was asked to read my credit card to the driver, provide an email, and sign more waivers. This seemed tedious since I had already provided my payment info and email when booking. From here, the process is just pencil and paper. The driver seemed to pretend to be bad at math and thought we were out there for an extra hour. I corrected him. I want to stress that I was charged the correct amount. However, it was frustrating to watch the driver struggle to calculate the number of hours between 1:00pm and 6:00pm. I don't expect Uber-quality invoicing, but I do expect more from a premium service. You won't receive an itemized receipt even though the bill includes a credit card fee and gratuity. I wouldn't choose this service again. If you do, make sure to check the driver's work when they're calculating the bill. read more

The part that is not true and the reason for wanting to get out of their contract is THEY booked us at a location 24 minutes away from our Airbnb. She is saying my wife said were staying at Siri. I booked the airbib in the fall and we would never stay at siri. That is the reason I wanted a refund. We went with Toast and were picked up and dropped off at our door. Horrible. They booked us for pick up a 24 min walk away from our airbnb even though the closest hotel was 8 minutes away. I asked for a 50/50 split of the refund. No was the answer. There are better companies to go with. She was disrespectful on the phone. read more

We did an Uncorked Wine Tour in Paso Robles recently, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. From the time they picked us up at our hotel until the time they dropped us off, everything was perfect. The large sprinter van held our whole crew, was in perfect condition, and they managed to keep the van cool at all times despite the searing Paso Robles heat. Jed was friendly, knowledgeable, talkative and funny. Absolutely perfect for us! He had kids, and when he heard us all talking about our kids and chimed in, which we all loved. We felt like we got to learn a little bit about the area from a local, and we enjoyed the chance to meet a new kindred spirit. We started with a tasting and a lunch at a local winery, and our driver did a good job of checking on us while we were in there and making sure we could be on time for our next scheduled tasting. We went to three wineries total, and by the time we made it to the third, we were running really late. But Jed called ahead and made sure the winery knew we were still coming. It's the type of attention to detail and keeping everyone running on time that I usually do, as the resident travel planner for my family. I can't tell you how thankful I was to have someone else keeping us on time, keeping our reservations apprised of any changes, etc. He even took over what I normally do, which is watch out for my mother. He helped her in and out of the van, made sure she had water, etc. For once, I was on vacation, and really felt like there was not a single thing for me to worry about or think about. read more

Ok, I normally don't write too many reviews and certainly not in depth ones but I have to review Uncorked & Captain Clint, our driver, because of the truly above and beyond service we got! We had my sister's bachelorette party here in Paso and we needed a driver this past weekend. Booking with Katie was super easy and Katie was really great and flexible. I had to change both the number of people and the itinerary a few days before our trip and Katie was able to do both no problem. We also needed somebody for essentially 12 hours. Katie said they could do it, and Clint did. Wow. Also the price structure was better than anyone else and their fleet was in very good condition. There were seven of us this weekend and we were in a very comfortable van (so comfortable we all fell asleep for a few mins). Ok, that's the good stuff. Let me get to the great stuff; CLINT. Wow. I mean, WOW. The night before he picked us up, we had a nightmare Airbnb situation and had to change Airbnb's (ergo address location) last minute. He confirmed the new address and was here to pick us up early even. Now, let me tell you some of what he did for us the whole day, aside from providing a very comfortable, safe driving experience. Ok, first of all he is just the NICEST man and we raved all day about him and how great he was. He also had a captain's hat (hence Captain Clint), and that's minor, but we loved it. So, he called ahead at restaurants without me even thinking about it, if were running late, and made sure they could take us. He checked us into places so I didn't have to deal with it. He had water for us constantly and it was in the 100's. He very professionally helped us in and out of the car as we were all in long dresses. We were also told some really cool stories about local places (he was the Fire Marshall in the area for years so he just knows all the most interesting tidbits.) He carried these large posters for us into and out of the wineries and carried our wine bottles for us, to boot. He took pictures of us and especially (very, VERY nicely) kept us on time so that the schedule we made could work out. He showed us great picture opportunities that weren't even on my radar. He was also just in constant communication via texting etc. with us so that we literally never waited even a minute for him anywhere. And he ended up being with us 14 HOURS. That's above and beyond. He just put in so much effort and we all felt so comfortable with him. Everyone said he helped to make the experience what it was and my sister's day was just seamless because of his efforts. I truly could not have asked for anyone with a better personality or greater skills. Clint is just THE BEST. We have still been talking about how amazing he is today and how much more difficult everything would have been without him. In fact, everyone was laughing saying how much they missed him today lol! Everything with him, even the paperwork in the morning and the checkout process at night, was SO EASY. Our biggest regret was we realized we didn't take a single picture with him in it and we would've liked to have had that memory since he really contributed into making our celebration great. Alright, if you've read this far, then I know you're doing as much research into services as I do. Book Uncorked. Seriously. You won't regret it. I don't. I used them two years ago and I decided to use them again. That was the best decision and I am most certainly going to use them in the future (and I know 6 more people who for sure will too cause quite frankly, we were all just blown away; 14 Hours of incredible service you guys!) Talk to Katie, she's great, and request Clint; you'll have an amazing trip. There's no way it could be any less than stellar with him as your guide. I know these reviews are polarized, so I quite often take them with a grain of salt, but if I may say in this one case, don't do the same with this review. Uncorked's outstanding service really made me want to spend all this time reviewing them because they were so outstanding lol. Although we visit regularly, some of our friends were first time visitors. We wanted everyone to be able to relax, enjoy the wine and enjoy each other.
