Passing through Luling on a weekend road trip we got a little hungry and didn't want to hit up fast food. When we read the name we thought... dang it, we're in. We walked into a time warp! 80s wrestling on tv, 50s and 60s music playing on the speakers, old Coke signs on the wall and a framed 8x10 of Kerry Von Erich w/ Iceman King Parsons at the register. They've got an entire back room that looks like someone's grandmas living room from 40 years ago. As cool and interesting as the ambience was, the food was just as amazing. As you might have guessed, it's a themed fancy hot dog restaurant. The dogs themselves are standard sized and delicious I ordered the "Hi Ho Silver" which is topped with cheese, ranch, jalapeño and bacon. My wife has the "Bandstand" which is a chili weiner. Both were served with home fries and both were $4.99. In addition to the weiners, they have burgers, sandwiches and salads. One kiddo ordered the "Wake Up Little Suzy" burger which includes hash browns and a fried egg ON the burger and the other ordered the "Lucy B" salad and they halved it with each other. The owners are a mother-daughter combo and when talking to them (they were very nice) we learned that the cupcakes and lemon bars were also made in house. We also found out why the place has such a goofy name. Seems there's a cartoon from the early 1900s about a "Gentleman Rabbit" called Uncle Wiggily. A relative suggested that as the name, they changed the spelling a little and... BobsYourUncle... restaurant named. I will say the same is perfect. The place is slightly odd, fantastically eccentric and a little goofy. And the food is priced great (family of 4 in and out for under $30) and is delicious. It's totally worth a trip from out of town to Luling just to eat here... and if you're driving through try and time your hunger right. You won't regret it. read more

Very nice place. Posters, plaques, signs hanging on the walls. The first time inside was yesterday Friday 03/ 01/2024. Old cartoons on one screen and 80s wrestling on the other. Nice setup with the front main entrance, the eating area classic old wood top and thick metal frames that won't bend . Hotdogs were great as was the cupcakes and cheese bars. Would never spend money here again. Cute inside but the food was NOT GOOD. The chili was horrible. The burgers were ALL burned. The onions they threw on were literally a whole piece of onion. Not cut at all. The staff wasn't very nice. Guy from the kitchen stomped around in water books and was super rude. Just a weird experience and we won't be back. We ordered a Great American Bandstand hot dog and a burger. Both came with chips. The chili on the hot dog was so good. This thing was bursting with flavor. The burger was the same way. Our total check was less than $14 for two people. All outdoor picnic table seating under the awning of an old gas station (1920's). All painted and fixed up. Ceiling fans. 50's music playing. On top of having amazing food and an absolutely lovely hostess. The ambiance hers is absolutely stellar. Taking me back to my grandmas house in like 1969. The menu is a hilarious read and is chocked full of Easter eggs and throwbacks to various pieces of pop culture. The wrestling belts and a fun and interesting addition as well. All that said I highly recommend. Love this place. read more

The whole experience was just odd . They don't have name brand soda? Everyone wants regular soda selections. The hot dog was the size of a kids meal at Dairy Queen. Tiny ! Know your customers, Ranchers , Oil fields, city workers, Truckers . We want a 1/4 Dog at least. The hot dog didn't even fill the bun ? And what up with breakfast potatoes? We want some fries ! Don't over think this , It's Lulling. How about a foot long offering, or a half pounder hot dog. Any the cook running around with knee pads on ? It was just weird. Good luck . read more

I've eaten here four times and have never been disappointed! I've had their hamburger a few times and a BLT and both were stellar. Their fries are perfect and the service is kind and quick. This is my go-to place when I'm in Luling. Make sure to check it out if you want great food, service with a smile and all pretty quickly. Such a gem. We were traveling from San Antonio to n and we wanted something besides the typical barbecue or Mexican food. The good thing about coming at lunch rush hour was I walked by every table and every basket looked better than the rest. By the time I went to the counter I wanted everything. I settled with a hot dog and a side salad and my husband chose a burger. None was run of mill. There were 4or 5 burgers to chose from and 4 or 5 hot dogs. Let me tell you. I was expecting a basic hot dog but these are not. The meat was lean, not greasy and so flavorful. I chose my dog with bacon, jalepenoes and ranch. Delicious. The salad had the most beautiful tomatoes and they had great home made dressings. My husband had a jalepeno concoction and he loved it too. We left stuffed and each meal was under $10 which is unheard of now days. The shop is adorable like a walk back into the 1960's drugstore. Such a great surprise! read more

Stopped here for lunch when passing through on vacation and reading the reviews on Yelp. A welcoming little restaurant with a great variety of delicious hotdogs. My hubby had the Danke Shoen and I had the Bandstand. Both came with little fried potatoes and all of it was delicious! We split a chocolate chip bar for dessert and it was also delicious! The table next to us had the frito chili pie and it looked really good as well. Friendly service, great atmosphere. Would definitely stop here again. read more

The cheese is too thick, gooey, could almost choke you, the chili had no gravy and a weird flavor. I ate the burger because I was hungry, but nowhere near the best I've had. Prices are not great, only way I'd go back is if all other restaurants were closed. read more

They've moved down the street! 521 East Davis. The new location has indoor seating and great atmosphere. Same great food and a great place for a quick bite. It's a quirky joint in a cute building.
