My husband ordered the wicked dog and loved it. I had a bite and can see why. I had the chicken strip combo and it's the best I've ever had. The chicken strips were juicy, flavorful and large. We substituted the mac and cheese and it was so good, it ruined all other mac and cheese forever. It was that good. Creamy, flavorful and plentiful. Our cashier, who was very friendly, also threw in extra fries, which were good. We ordered a gold bar pastry, which is kinda like a brownie with other stuff in it, including coconut. Incredible flavor! And my husband ordered a banana pudding, which, you guessed it, was heavenly (no photo, sorry). Plenty of comfortable seating. The restaurant was spotless and it's right off 35. Not bad but I wish it was a bit more of the plump hot dogs instead of standard. The bun was buttery and good. The wings were standard. Not bad. The asada fries were very salty. I think it was the cheese but can't be for sure but it wasn't the fries. The Mac and cheese was ok. I think it was the same cheese as the asada. Didn't stand out. Now for the best part...the tenders are good. The coating is delicious and you can tell they season or marinate it. They were tender and juicy. No complaints. Also, we were excited to try the cinnamon rolls however, the 2 they had out there looked older and dry; not appetizing so we didn't get any. The atmosphere is cozy with fountain drink machine and plenty of seating. Customer service was good. They don't accept bills larger than $20. Just FYI.

I've literally never had fried mushrooms at a restaurant that were Portabella. These are to die for but the star of the appetizer menu to me are the fried pickled okra. they are coated in a perfect , cornmeal batter and served with homemade ranch dressing. Now onto the main courses. The burgers are all phenomenal. I have tried three or four of them no matter which one you get, order it Bob's way, which comes with fried onion strings. I usually can't finish a whole burger, but here I make myself finish the burger. No morsel is wasted. I recently tried one of their hotdogs, and I can say it won't be my last. Last but not least, their sides with the burgers cannot be beat. I know it sounds weird to say, but I am not much of a french fry person. Here I want to eat all of them. I go one day when the card reader isn't working. I hand the carhop a card and a cash tip. Immediately, she goes into a speech about not being allowed to "pay two ways". Now a carhop is almost guaranteed to stare at you. Let us not forget their inability to take an order. Unable to mention that the number 9 combo is no longer grilled, they are at least able to call it by its new name, Chicken Slingers. But order a burger "all the way" and you get a plain cheeseburger. Never did know when to say "all the way" or "as is". Hurry up and get in there before one of their games becomes obsolete. That is, figuring out how to get ketchup out of them. I was like, "Um, ok, what's that about?" I got home and looked it up. I found out it was Texan company. Then I decided I wanted to visit the biggest Buc-ee's in the Lone Star State. We landed in San Antonio and rented a car. Thankfully it didn't have a California license plate. We drove to Luling on our way to Austin. We pulled into the Buc-ee's parking lot. We saw the gas prices. Gas in Texas is more affordable than Washington State. Took a photo with the metal critter in front of the entrance then made our way into the store. Spacious, busy. Bathroom was clean. We picked up some brisket sandwiches and some sodas. Food is more affordable in Texas. We also bought some souvenirs to take back home including a red shirt with the beaver.
