Friendly hot dog dude manning the booth all on his lonesome today. $10.92 before tax gets you a dog…read moreand a drink (free refills all day), but if you want any topping other than grilled onion or jalapeño it will cost you. I got chili (certainly not much!!), cheese (melted nacho) and bacon (nice and crispy and in small pieces, so I could eat without impersonating a dog with a chew toy) and that made my combo $13.98 before tip. Happy: There was no line when I ordered, and it was served up efficiently and cheerfully. The biggest selling point (certainly consider this if you are a northerner visiting Tx in the summer) is the large drink with free refills for the entire day--there's another stand somewhere else in the mall which was news to me. Also, I think I saw they have a hand washing station as I left. Sad: There are no tables, chairs, or benches. You will be prompted for a tip if you pay with a card. This after paying a LOT for a non-gourmet but not untasty all-beef dog. Also, half my free grilled onions were approaching burnt. For comparison, I could have gotten as much cheese and substantially more chili on a polish sausage in a pretzel bun at Weinerschnitzel for under $5 after tax. For $14 I could feed two there. I got three vegan sliders at Buzzmill this Monday for that much money, including table service. What you are paying for is convenience, time, and saving your spot in a large mall with limited parking and impressive traffic on holidays (Franky's only sets up shop when higher mall traffic is predicted). Perhaps you want to avoid a public meltdown with your partner or child. You get to decide if it's worth it. Love to the upbeat hot dog dude. I tipped bc I doubt much of the markup makes its way into *his* pocket, and it's not table service but outside the onions he did his job well.

Both my daughter and I were super hungry and thirsty. She told me on the way in, she wanted In and Out so I told her we will share a hot dog and get us a big ass drink of lemonade. The combo was a little over $10 bucks with unlimited refills on the lemonade. I didn't think that was a bad deal at all. My half of the jumbo beef hots dogs had onions and my daughter side had chili cheese. We inhaled in and it hit the spot for us to continue shopping. Not bad for an afternoon snack!

A rare find! Hiding on the side of the gas station is this food truck waiting to be discovered…read more Everything is cooked fresh to order so it could take some time and depending on how many customers they have. They have two tables outside, but the umbrellas do not work. Other option is to eat inside the gas station. While waiting for your food, you can grab other drinks and snacks in the gas station. I ordered the dumplings in mild heat! They were super hot and fresh with a good mix of flavors. My husband ordered noodles and chicken 65 in spicy level. They did not disappoint on the spice. Chicken 65 came out slightly different from expected, but delicious. Great, authentic spot to try out!

He reports the staff were friendly, and I can tell you the food was delicious. I had the samosas and a mango lassi, he had palak paneer India hot. Despite riding in a car's full blast AC and then being plated in a chilly room, our lunch was still piping hot when we sat down to eat. My samosas were full of flavor and the pastry was so flaky and crisp-tender. Came with a shot of sauce: vinegary tang with a little bit of heat. Perfect complimenting tones and amount for the two pieces that come in your order. The mango lassi was wonderful. Generous size and not overly sweet, just what I needed following a night of too many cocktails. Mr R enjoyed his paneer over two servings (his favorite breakfast is leftover Indian food) and I couldn't tell you which serving he enjoyed more. Happy as a puppy both times. As I hoped/expected, Mr R actually said he would not object if we ate here all week. It's not the cheapest and your order will take a minute to be cooked (we happily ran a nearby errand in the wait time which was what you'd expect in a sit-down restaurant where your entree isn't microwaved) but we think the pricing is fair and the provisions are tasty. The location/parking is the biggest drawback; there are picnic tables for you to use but you'll probably have to find parking at the busy convenience store it's parked next to. Again--if you enjoy these regional foods they are worth! it!
