I heard about this food truck and I decided to try it. I had the German and it was great. I highly recommend it.

My other co-worker went out and tried the German Shepherd hot dog combo and loved it as well. So with a little twisting of the arm, I went out and went to see what they had to offer. Apparently they have hamburgers as well, but I was there for the hot dog experience. They had a "chef's special" which is whatever the chef wants to make. My only request was to be light on the cheese. They in turn asked me if I wanted it spicy. Without a second thought, I immediately said yes! What I got was a pile and a tasty pile of a loaded hot dog with chips, chili, mac and cheese, and pickles topped with jalapenos and some spicy shiracha on top. It wasn't good, it was amazingly good. Being from NY I was asked how it fare against NY dogs, and I have to say, this was way better. I have to praise the chef there, he or she made a tasty loaded dog! Also I have to forget the fries as well, they had sour cream and onion seasoning that pairs excellent with their offerings, not just the special. Well done!

I peeped the sign and 'Unc' short for Uncle came to my window. He greeted me and was warm, friendly and told me that everything on his menu was outstanding. #Facts I settled on the Razzle Dazzle Dog that had a honey mustard and cranberry slaw topping. It was refreshing, satisfying and I had never had a salad topping on a hot dog before. Living in Texas over the last 6 years had cornered me into chili dogs and such, but the Razzle Dog was a tastier and much healthier option. It was served on an oversized bun and it was well worth the $6.00 price tag. By the time I had gotten home, a mere short 5 minutes... the Razzle Dog had been nearly consumed and I debated heading back for seconds. Since I had just finished my workout, I decided to let the fat girl in me sleep and posted the greatness to Instagram and Facebook. So Yelpers unite, look them up on Facebook and Instagram as the food cart moves around the City. Satisfied and Should be consumed on an empty belly Da Islandgal29412 Ms.Foodie

They offer beef, chicken, bean and cheese, and chicharrone (pork skin). With those choices, I have to go for chicharrone. I rarely see that option and I'm curious if they can pull it off. The gordita bread was prepared well with it being slightly think, crispy on the outside and soft in the inside, but strong enough to hold all the ingredients. Your choice of additions are avacado, and tomato. Don't forget the pico de gallo and salsa on the counter, both great additions. The chicharrone was prepared nicely, crispy, porky flavor, very nice. I wish I could have tried more, but there was no way I could have eaten anymore. I wish they had other pork options as well as tripe giving more choice and some bizarre options. Enjoy! CASH ONLY****

Of special note is the very good blueberry lemonade from Conscious Cravings, as well as a to-die-for selection of goat cheese from the Chivata Goat Cheese Truck. (Seriously, go check out their trailer and pick up one of their sandwiches, your tummy will thank you.) Pros: Outdoor and *indoor* seating - useful when it rains or bakes in Austin, which it can. Reasonable selection of food trucks, you'll find something to try. Bathroom facilities are fine and not port-a-potties. Cons: Some of the trucks hold odd hours on the weekend. Parking is at a premium, with about a dozen spots and 2 handicapped spots. You can find parking on the side streets but be careful crossing 1st Street as the traffic zooms by at light speed! All in all, this location is well worth a visit!

Pros: -hidden upstairs in a dive bar on red river (to some this is a con, but this is hella cool to me) -garlic bread (fire, you'll fill up fast on this so make sure you go with a group) -freshly made pasta -massive portions for the price (again, go with a group!) -great people working there Cons: -fettuccine Alfredo (I am a picky girl when it comes to my alfredo sauce and while theirs is objectively good.. it was not to my taste) -takeaway (ok.. so Italian food doesn't travel well and that's not on them, but there has to be a better way to package so that things can reheat well OR retain their heat without getting soggy) Overall, if I'm drinking in the area, I'll go. Otherwise, I'm sticking to my fav spots.
