The food was OK it was not as good as he served on his food truck. The mac & cheese was definitely not homemade it sucked my brother said his jambalaya rice had no meat in it but the ribs was really good the peach cobbler with ice cream was good but it taste more like peach pie and all the portions are small for the price even the dinner portion's Going to have to try something different next time and good people I'll let you know. read more

The atmosphere is great, you really feel like you're transported down south. The bathrooms look like little outhouses! Our server was a delight, very knowledgeable and so friendly. My friend and I both ordered the baby back rib dinners, the buttered cornbread was not good. The artificial butter was so overpowering on top of the dry cornbread muffin. The ribs were so tough, not edible. Still super pink inside I ended up throwing them away. Coleslaw and baked beans were decent. Excellent food but far to expensive, last visit cost almost $50 just for myself, which was a two meat combo with one beer.

We have been here a handful of times, the food has always been delicious and the servers have always been great!

Food and service were good but the price was a little high for the amount of food we were given. It's worth a try if you're in the area.

Amaze balls!!!! Me and the wife were looking for food during our trip to Oberlin to drop our daughter off and ran into this suggestion on Yelp. We were a bit thrown off by the 4.5 stars because no one could rate this high for BBQ in the Midwest!!! Boy were we wrong. It earns that 4.5 and then some. The brisket is tender and flavorful. The BBQ pulled pork was absolutely divine. The corn bread muffins were sweet and hearty. They have three different sauces that we did not use because the meat was flavorful on their own. We also thought that the sides couldn't be good since the main food was so good. Wrong again. The greens will make you slap your mother and the baked beans were delicious. The service was friendly and entertaining. Bo the chef came over to meet us as we devoured our food in silence. Ended up ordering a rack of ribs to go for the trip home. Best BBQ ribs with a solid bark and super tender meat. Bourbon sauce is thin but extremely tasty. If you like a thicker sauce they have other options as well. First time in tonight and will not be my last. Our new favorite restaurant when visiting family here. We are from Southern California and hope this place becomes popular enough to open ship there. I have traveled throughout the world and have ate at some incredible BBQ restaurants from Franklins to Blacks to Arthur Bryant's to Rendezvous and this joint while new is up there. It is absolutely the best restaurant in the Mojave area. The jambalaya is excellent, I felt like I was back in Nola, or in the south definitely not out here in the west. The brisket was spot on, other than being a little over for my taste, but I like competition type brisket other than restaurant type. The ribs were excellent, I tried some of the sauces they were good as well, but the meat was how I like it it didn't need sauce. I was scrolling thru social media and came across Uncle Bo's Slow-n-Low 's page. Now located in what I believe to be the old Longhorn Steakhouse building at the Midway Mall in Elyria. I decided to take a drive out there because I read nothing but good things about the place. As I was pulling in, I noticed a pretty full parking lot and a pretty impressive pit area behind the main building. Walking in, I decided to sit at the bar as I was by myself tonight. I was greeted immediately by Kim who handed me a menu and asked nicely what I would like to drink. Started out with a water and draught beer. I knew what I wanted right from the start. I told Kim I was gonna make it easy and go with the Thursday Smoked Meatloaf dinner. It came out hot and fast! It had a generous amount of meatloaf..moist, flavorful, with a nice crust and smoky flavor. Real mashed potatoes with gravy, loaded baked beans, and a large buttery cornbread muffin for $13.99. Great food at a great value! Kim and Kelly were invested in the business, knew the menu, and showed enthusiasm in their profession. The menu listed numerous regional BBQ favorites like brisket, pork ribs, chicken, smoked sausage, smoked BBQ pizza, catfish and southern sides. Mediocre. Terrible server. The waiter didn't know what the brisket burger was and messed up our drinks. He brought us our tiny quesadillas and they had no dipping sauces. I asked for sauce and he waited on several other tables. Then he came back again without the sauces and said he'd be back with them and again waited on other tables. I had to flag down another waiter and ask her for the sauce. Meanwhile my tiny quesadilla got completely cold. The cold, tiny quesadilla was underwhelming and virtually flavorless. I liked the food pretty well, but none of it was so memorable that I'd he in a hurry to come back and that makes it difficult to write a thorough review. Our appetizer was great, and our server was excellent. I did not care for the massive beef rib I ordered. I dont even think it was bad, but I have discovered I prefer babybacks or pulled shoulder over beef bbq. I dunno i hope they continue to do well but it was pretty dead in there when I went. Our server said it was due to competition from all the summer festivals that weekend. Very disappointing. I got a craving for Cajun Catfish and so decided to go here, and got the 8 oz. catfish and the 4 oz. brisket. On the menu it says that the fish is 3-4 pieces, and yet I got two very small ones. I thought there was a mistake and told them so, but was then told that they weighed it and this is what it was. Not impressed. We were there a week or two after they opened. They hadn't worked out all of the kinks yet. They were not serving appetizers and were out of ribs, full chickens and corn bread and it was only 6:00. They were also not taking to go orders. Our server was great, she was very attentive and felt bad that things were not running smoothly. I understood that with any new venture you have to work out the details, so all of that wouldn't have kept me from trying them again. However, the food was overpriced and we were disappointed. The homemade sauces provided on the table were not good at all and we ended up using the Sweet Baby Rays, which I can do at home. The brisket was pretty good, but the sides were not. The baked beans I had one bite of and passed and the macaroni and cheese was bland and I passed on that as well. We won't be going back. Best local BBQ around! Everything is made fresh which makes it that much more amazing. The meats are melt in your mouth amazing and so juicy! The BBQ sauce has the greatest flavor. We also tried the jalapeño mac and cheese which was amazing... not hot at all just had very little kick to it. The apple cobbler was so good too! We generally don't eat desert but so glad we gave this a try. The service was wonderful as well, almost to good, our waitress constantly checked on us. I wish we would of known about free samples. This is such a great gesture knowing how the food is and what you'll want to order before making the purchase. This was our second time eating there going into tonight. We ordered the brisket as we did the the first time, as We loved it the first time. However, tonight it was completely different! The amount of peppercorn crust easily out numbered the brisket itself on certain parts of the brisket. I'm ok with spicy foods for the most part, but my boyfriend is NOT! When he asked for rolls to counter the spice, we were charged for it. Whatever, that's fine. We're NOT those people (I'm in the business) . Regardless, if I wanted spicy tonight we would have gotten Mexican. We both are not feeling good after this meal, and I honestly don't want anyone to feel how we feel right now, especially after paying good money hoping for a good meal. The chicken wings were dried out, the back ribs were good, and the brisket was soft but lacked flavor without the sauce, the fries were good, and the corn muffin was good but was served covered in butter. Their barbecue was similar to the highly rated John Mulls Meats & Road Kill Grill in Vegas which I was not a fan. I'm a fan of Rollin Smoke Barbecue in Vegas. Attention Drug Company reps.... this is a very good place to get catering for your doctor's lunch appointments. Good job guys! The staff greeted me when I first walked in and we're very friendly. There were about for people that all stood around and welcoming me and carried on with conversation about the way they prepare their food. I was even joking about their sign twirlers on Highway 95 and said they do a good job but they assured me that they only work for 20 minutes at a time and are required to drink plenty of fluids. It's kind of like a Famous Dave's but here in Bullhead City. However I can honestly say this place has better quality meats than Famous Dave's (no-knock Famous Dave's). As you walk into the place from outside they have smokers that are burning would that really gets you in the mood for barbecue. As someone who really loves to cook I'm a very harsh food critic. I really enjoyed this place. I ordered the brisket the baby back ribs and a half a chicken. The brisket was so tender that it practically fell apart when trying to serve it on the plate. The baby back ribs were very tender and the sauce complimented the ribs perfectly. You couldn't ask for ribs much better than these. I also had the grilled chicken and the flavor was awesome and the meat almost fell off the bone it was so tender as well. I will definitely be back! read more
