Decent dogs. Decent sausage & peppers (slightly spicy sausage). A little pricey for food of this quality but otherwise good!

I stopped by the Five Guys and had a great experience overall…read more Right from the start, the experience was positive. I didn't catch the nice lady's name at the register, but she was very pleasant--greeted me with a smile and a warm welcome. She even took a moment to compliment my hooded sweatshirt from the Hudson Valley Polar Plunge for the Special Olympics . I shared with her that my wife and I participate every year to help raise money, and she was genuinely kind and engaging about it. That small interaction really set the tone for the visit. I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger (well done) with lettuce, ketchup, raw onions, and jalapeños, along with fries (well done) and a large drink . Everything was cooked to perfection--my burger was exactly how I like it: fresh, hot, and full of flavor, and my fries were great too! (Pro tip: try ordering French fries well done to avoid wet, soggy fries .) I will say, I was a little surprised to see that Five Guys has changed how they serve their fries. They're no longer packed into the cup like before and are now served in these small little bags, which was a bit disappointing at first . Also, I originally thought all fries automatically came with Cajun seasoning--that's honestly the main reason I go to Five Guys--but I learned that you actually have to specifically order Cajun fries if you want the seasoning. When I noticed my fries didn't look seasoned, I asked about it. Jocelyn and Carlos, who were working behind the glass, both took the time to kindly explain that I would need to specify regular fries or Cajun fries when I place my order. They were polite, patient, and genuinely friendly . They even thanked me for asking questions, which I really appreciated. I then asked if they could add Cajun seasoning to my fries, and without hesitation, Jocelyn said "absolutely" with a smile . Carlos took care of it right away and handed them back--no attitude, no problem at all . On top of that, the place was very clean. The floors were spotless, everything was well-stocked, and the whole environment felt organized and welcoming. I've been to other Five Guys locations where peanuts are all over the place and things can feel a bit messy, but this one was the complete opposite--nice and clean all around . That kind of customer service is rare these days. From the friendly greeting at the register to Jocelyn and Carlos going out of their way to help, the whole team made me feel comfortable and appreciated . Great food, great people, and a clean environment--it was truly a pleasure visiting today . Definitely a 5-star experience . I'll be back!

The wait staff, although very nice, was incredibly inexperienced, not prepared for a crowd, and couldn't make heads or tails of honestly anything that was going on. Drinks took 45mins-1 hour to come out. We ordered a Sprite, a Club Soda, Two Beers, an Old Fashion and an Espresso Martini. Unbelievable it took 45mins to an hour to come out. Had we not been going to the show at the Paramount, we would have left right then and there. In fact, we did see about 4 tables get up and leave for lack of service and attention. Sides were tastey, but the servers did not provide any utensils for the side dishes and didn't provide napkins. When asked, we never received serving utensils, but did receive little cocktail napkins. Really? Cocktail napkins? When the rodizio came out, now about 1:30 from when we sat down, it was tasty, but the service was so slow that it felt like an eternity until the next meat came. This is quite a shame because the price for the rodizio experience was not Pennie's, therefore, we definitely did not get our monies worth. Now, as noted above, we were there before the show at the Paramount. We had a reservation at 6 pm thinking it would be plenty of time for the 8:00 show. Nope! After experiencing the snail-like service, we asked for the check around 7:40. We asked for the check three times. Finally, enough was enough - we went to the bar and grabbed our check, paid and left. For a party of 6, 4 cocktails, a sprite and a club soda, the tab came out to $400 before tip. The atmosphere was nice, but thinking about this more today, it was the equivalent of putting lipstick on a pig. Honestly, we should have walked out after the drink situation and went to Whiskey River. Respectfully, we will not be returning to Gauchos any time soon. This just seems to be yet another failed Peekskill restaurant.

I always ask "what's good today?", he always replies, "everything!" Then I give my considerations, "it's between the Cuban or tacos" of which he replied "Cuban". I agreed, let's do it. It was snowing and cold. I guess I could've waited in my car but I chose to take in the scenery and stand next to the small propane heater Octavio generously placed outside his trailer. The food came out after maybe 7 min, not long. I quickly shuffled back to my car and got on the road. I opened the tray while driving through the winding Bear Mountain, probably not the smartest thing I've ever done. But this guy was hungry. First we have to try a fry. Crisp, seasoned well and delicious. I wanted to take a bite of the sandwich. It was going to be a chore while driving. The bread looked so good. I could see ham, pork and pickle sticking out the side and I needed a bite. I took a mental note of the tray. I kept my left hand on the steering wheel and my eyes on the road. I reached down w my right hand, grabbed the sandwich and took a monster bite. YUCK A BIG CHUNK OF PORK FAT. I spit it out and ate the rest of the bite. It was good, really good BUT it had a Smokey taste that I didn't love. It wasn't bad, just not my cup of tea. In any event the ingredients were fresh, the bread was toasted and crispy, the fries with the little tub of ketchup were just right. I enjoyed the lunch and look forward to my next trip to Octavios.
