Phenomenal food. The meats are awesome. The pastrami was a shining star for us but everything was great--including the sides! We got fries, creamed spinach, mac and cheese, and potato salad as our sides. All of them were incredible and did not disappoint. The fries were crispy and good, the creamed spinach was lush, the potato salad was made correctly, so so good. I was waiting for the mac and cheese to be boring and it was the total opposite. It had this awesome tang to it. I loved them all. The corn bread, if anything, disappointed because it wasn't fresh. Also, my pumpkin beer had a weird smell to it but my husband traded with me because he didn't smell it. Overall, that food shined. Service was fine. I look forward to returning. I nibbled on the leftovers from our Pig Nic the whole week following our visit! Barbecue everyday? Hell yeah. This visit reminded me what I've been missing out on.

Was suggested by a local guy - did not disappoint! Really nice draft beer selection. Ordered bbq platter- got the baby back ribs and pulled pork, both were delicious! Service was spot on- fast and easy! Definitely will go back!

A great BBQ spot located in Mahopac, NY. Ive been coming here for years. They have a grrst selection of BBQ menu items and a big list of drafts and drinks. This spot is known fot their HUGE PORTIONS, their Ribs are fall off the rib and go well with their sauce. I also enjoy their brisket and different side selections. They have outdoor seating and a family friendly place. Highly recommended!

Great hickory smoke flavor on the meat. Vermont cheddar on the mac and cheese and sweet corn bread with a good tap selection to wash it all down.

Have not been here in a while but it didn't disappoint! Smoked wings were amazing, ordered them hot but they could be just plain to savor the Smokey taste. Also ordered the brisket sandwich with O-rings and coleslaw, another winnner, lots of smoke too. To drink they beer list was quite varied so I went for a flight of dark beers - menu is up to date in their website and they also had some specials https://www.holysmokebbq.net

Someone raved about the food so we figured we should give it a try. I actually found the food to lack any flavor, meats were very dry.

Our server was a young woman who was incredibly friendly, personable, and attentive. She made the experience even more enjoyable with her warm and welcoming attitude. Between the delicious food, great service, and lovely outdoor atmosphere, Barnwood Grill was a highlight of our day. I would absolutely return if I'm ever in the area again! We also had corn chowder that was totally homemade and delish. I had one of the specials a chicken panini (Oh do I love their Paninis) with spinach, mozzarella and an awesome sauce. The Mrs. had Patti's Favorite Salad and added grilled chicken, fresh, plenty of food and totally healthy. I took a quick look at the ratings and the food photos and that was enough for us to set the GPS for the Stone House. Entering, we were greeted immediately and made to feel very welcome. The dining room was lively but we had a nice table and soon had water and bread, which came with a delicious sauce of some kind that had vegetables and cheese in it. It was so good they should sell jars of it! We ordered some shrimp cocktail to start (those were some giant shrimp, although it was only three and four would have been a nice even number) and then I had the rib eye for my main. It doesn't come with anything so I ordered fries on the side. That steak was outstanding! The flavor, the texture...everything was amazing. It came out on a sizzling skillet and it tasted as good as it looked. It was also so big that I took half of it home for lunch and if possible, it tasted even better the next day. I was very pleased. The fries were also exceptional and even though the serving was big, I ate them all. I couldn't help myself! Since I took half of my steak home, I decided there was room for dessert and the chocolate mousse didn't disappoint. The food was so good and the service was so warm and friendly, I definitely want to go back to Stone House Grill. If you're nearby, stop in for a meal. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

The decor is cute..I miss the dim light and warm / dark woods and colors that you expect in an Irish pub. I met the owner on the first visit and she is very nice and I wish her great luck..but the kids who work there have very little passion or personality unfortunately. This really is a nice little place and I hope it succeeds..but it has a few up hill issues..first is its smack in the center of many already establishment great restaurants the other big one is this: 75% of people who live up here moved from Southern Westchester or the Bronx..what does that mean? ..it means we all grew up on Rorys!!! Most likely of them litter the earth like wrappers from spent candy bars, a constant reminder of good times gone by. And then you get The Blazer. It is one of those places that shouldn't be there but it is and we are all the better for it. A low ceiling, low lights, jubilant conversation in the background all make for a snug setting. The bar is a seen out of Cheers with the conversation between business man and blue collar foreman flowing as quickly and easily as the beer from the tap. The drinks are cold and served quickly with a smile but it's the food that takes the crown. The menu is small but everything is cooked and presented perfectly. In all the years God has blessed me with life I have never had a better chicken wing. The Blazer traditional wing is served dry with limited spice but full flavored and from a temperature standpoint hotter than the devil's pitchfork. They were perfectly cooked, completely rendered, flavorful gifts of gastronomic joy. The burgers, cooked in a broiler style format, were fresh, perfectly cooked, delicious and of ample portion. The chicken fingers, which were each one a meal, served red hot, perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside and tender within. The chili cheese dog was everything it should be and the French fries, which are a traditional steak fry cut, were incredibly crunchy on the outside and soft and tender within. Every bar and pub owner and chef should come here. This is the superlative example of a simple menu, cooked perfectly and served quickly with a smile. It is obvious that the setting, service and menu gets them to come back again and again across generations from miles and miles around.

We came as we understood the wings were the best in Westchester County... After trying two varieties, and being on a perennial wing trail chase for the last four years... I find that title difficult to believe. Wings were meaty, cooked correctly, and came well appointed with blue cheese and celery. Plus, I'm a sucker for wing establishments that provide the wooden bowl for bones. I love that. Otherwise, I found the wings lightly sauced, and kind of dry... We tried the blazers traditional, which are fried, sauce, then refried... They needed one more dunk in sauce to be top-notch. Our second order was their teriyaki wings... much more palatable... But we're still lacking. And I'm not a huge fan of wings that are not sauced in a hot sauce base. The opportunity to add a side of wasabi sauce to any wings was a welcome addition... As we needed the moisture. We did not try any other menu items, but the pub food looked delicious... And our server was fantastic. I do look forward to going back and trying to order things slightly differently... I'll chalk this first experience up on me not really strategically placing my order or knowing how to maximize the potential of a really great place. I know next time will be better.

Blue Hill at Stone Barns (2 Michelin stars) and La Bastide by Andrea Calstier (1 Michelin star) are the only two Westchester County restaurants with Michelin Status. Purdy's rugged farm based surroundings on this clear bright morning were a bit unusual for what one would expect. However, once we entered the landmark old house with its original well appointed ambience of 1775 and beguiling aromas coming from the kitchen, we knew we were in for a treat. Menus were not quite ready (printer problem?) upon arrival to our table. Once we received the menu of the day - we knew what to order, plus we were accompanied by a great friend who happens to be a wonderful chef who knew the place well, and she is quite familiar with what to choose based on the well-mannered upper echelon Westchester locals. Here is what we ordered. Firstly, a bottle of bubbly to celebrate our birthday guests. Followed by ... STARTERS: Clam Chowder Polenta Fries Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail MAINS: Wild Mushroom Bucatini Nova Scotia Halibut Scottish Salmon Everything was delicious and well plated. Our waiter, Sean was warm, friendly and efficient overseeing his assistants who brought out the cuisine, and cleared the table items carefully. We will definitely return. 5 easy stars Thank you!
