Phenomenal food. The meats are awesome. The pastrami was a shining star for us but everything was great--including the sides! We got fries, creamed spinach, mac and cheese, and potato salad as our sides. All of them were incredible and did not disappoint. The fries were crispy and good, the creamed spinach was lush, the potato salad was made correctly, so so good. I was waiting for the mac and cheese to be boring and it was the total opposite. It had this awesome tang to it. I loved them all. The corn bread, if anything, disappointed because it wasn't fresh. Also, my pumpkin beer had a weird smell to it but my husband traded with me because he didn't smell it. Overall, that food shined. Service was fine. I look forward to returning. I nibbled on the leftovers from our Pig Nic the whole week following our visit! Barbecue everyday? Hell yeah. This visit reminded me what I've been missing out on.

Was suggested by a local guy - did not disappoint! Really nice draft beer selection. Ordered bbq platter- got the baby back ribs and pulled pork, both were delicious! Service was spot on- fast and easy! Definitely will go back!

A great BBQ spot located in Mahopac, NY. Ive been coming here for years. They have a grrst selection of BBQ menu items and a big list of drafts and drinks. This spot is known fot their HUGE PORTIONS, their Ribs are fall off the rib and go well with their sauce. I also enjoy their brisket and different side selections. They have outdoor seating and a family friendly place. Highly recommended!

Great hickory smoke flavor on the meat. Vermont cheddar on the mac and cheese and sweet corn bread with a good tap selection to wash it all down.

Have not been here in a while but it didn't disappoint! Smoked wings were amazing, ordered them hot but they could be just plain to savor the Smokey taste. Also ordered the brisket sandwich with O-rings and coleslaw, another winnner, lots of smoke too. To drink they beer list was quite varied so I went for a flight of dark beers - menu is up to date in their website and they also had some specials https://www.holysmokebbq.net

Stopped by after apple picking in Fishkill. It was around 7 pm on Saturday. Seating was quick. Drinks came right away, and food came out in reasonable timing. Food was okay. Brisket and pulled pork were a bit on dry side but overall satisfactory. Staff were friendly. We loved the outdoor seating! Lights and the fire pit were relaxing. We will come back again!

Someone raved about the food so we figured we should give it a try. I actually found the food to lack any flavor, meats were very dry.

Food comes out hot, portions are serious, and nobody leaves hungry or emotionally unsettled, which after a long week is a miracle. This is real comfort food. Our service throughout the meal was excellent with both our server and the manager (or owner?) checking in consistently. I really liked the decor and music as well. The decor is minimalistic, but I really liked how clean everything felt. I asked about the music -- it was 80s and 90s rock like Journey and Elton John and it matched our tastes perfectly for the particular moment in time we were there. They said they use pandora and the music varies from night to night, but we were fans. The food is where things weren't quite up to 5 stars, which is why the rating. We started with an autumn (squash) soup and wedge salad. The soup was good or maybe even a little better than good, but not great. For me, the salad was the same way. It comes with candied bacon and that just doesn't fit the profile of bleu cheese and iceberg. I ended up eating the salad without the bacon and then having the bacon at the end as an "opening dessert." The salad was super fresh and the dressing was well done. And the bacon alone was delicious--just not great together for my palate. We went with a couple handmade pasta dishes as our mains and they were both good. Again, not quite great. I liked mine better than my wife's. That is sis's new favorite was well named to my mind. It was spicy, but not overly so and the tomato and broccoli added depth to the dish that was missing from my wife's pasta. I would 100% come back. If we do, I think we'd split a pasta and a main. Some of the fish dishes we saw go by looked fantastic. The one negative to me was an occasional whiff of marijuana. I'm totally fine with someone taking a break to calm themselves if that's what they need. I just don't want to smell that while I'm eating, especially in a restaurant that is otherwise very very nice.

I took a quick look at the ratings and the food photos and that was enough for us to set the GPS for the Stone House. Entering, we were greeted immediately and made to feel very welcome. The dining room was lively but we had a nice table and soon had water and bread, which came with a delicious sauce of some kind that had vegetables and cheese in it. It was so good they should sell jars of it! We ordered some shrimp cocktail to start (those were some giant shrimp, although it was only three and four would have been a nice even number) and then I had the rib eye for my main. It doesn't come with anything so I ordered fries on the side. That steak was outstanding! The flavor, the texture...everything was amazing. It came out on a sizzling skillet and it tasted as good as it looked. It was also so big that I took half of it home for lunch and if possible, it tasted even better the next day. I was very pleased. The fries were also exceptional and even though the serving was big, I ate them all. I couldn't help myself! Since I took half of my steak home, I decided there was room for dessert and the chocolate mousse didn't disappoint. The food was so good and the service was so warm and friendly, I definitely want to go back to Stone House Grill. If you're nearby, stop in for a meal. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We came as we understood the wings were the best in Westchester County... After trying two varieties, and being on a perennial wing trail chase for the last four years... I find that title difficult to believe. Wings were meaty, cooked correctly, and came well appointed with blue cheese and celery. Plus, I'm a sucker for wing establishments that provide the wooden bowl for bones. I love that. Otherwise, I found the wings lightly sauced, and kind of dry... We tried the blazers traditional, which are fried, sauce, then refried... They needed one more dunk in sauce to be top-notch. Our second order was their teriyaki wings... much more palatable... But we're still lacking. And I'm not a huge fan of wings that are not sauced in a hot sauce base. The opportunity to add a side of wasabi sauce to any wings was a welcome addition... As we needed the moisture. We did not try any other menu items, but the pub food looked delicious... And our server was fantastic. I do look forward to going back and trying to order things slightly differently... I'll chalk this first experience up on me not really strategically placing my order or knowing how to maximize the potential of a really great place. I know next time will be better.

Blue Hill at Stone Barns (2 Michelin stars) and La Bastide by Andrea Calstier (1 Michelin star) are the only two Westchester County restaurants with Michelin Status. Purdy's rugged farm based surroundings on this clear bright morning were a bit unusual for what one would expect. However, once we entered the landmark old house with its original well appointed ambience of 1775 and beguiling aromas coming from the kitchen, we knew we were in for a treat. Menus were not quite ready (printer problem?) upon arrival to our table. Once we received the menu of the day - we knew what to order, plus we were accompanied by a great friend who happens to be a wonderful chef who knew the place well, and she is quite familiar with what to choose based on the well-mannered upper echelon Westchester locals. Here is what we ordered. Firstly, a bottle of bubbly to celebrate our birthday guests. Followed by ... STARTERS: Clam Chowder Polenta Fries Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail MAINS: Wild Mushroom Bucatini Nova Scotia Halibut Scottish Salmon Everything was delicious and well plated. Our waiter, Sean was warm, friendly and efficient overseeing his assistants who brought out the cuisine, and cleared the table items carefully. We will definitely return. 5 easy stars Thank you!
