Had to come to Uncle Bill's after many recommendations! It did not disappoint! Party of 5 went on a Saturday morning around 10 and while it looked packed, we were seated right away and food came out quickly. Wesley was a great server and it was so sweet to know that he grew up going there since his mom was a server when he was little. Great kid! The food was good but the pancakes were delicious! Our table tried the Oreo, strawberry, and apple pancakes and they were all great. The apple and strawberry ones get folded into a triangle like shaped and are stuffed and topped with fruit while the Oreo were cooked like regular pancakes. The syrup is from Canada and it was VERY good. The orange juice was DELICIOUS.. fresh and not too sweet. I could go for another right now! The diner has indoor and outdoor seating and it's a cute local diner feel with lots of tables. It was pretty loud because of how busy they were but not unbearable and we could still enjoy conversation.

My friends and I had the opportunity to eat at Uncle Bill's this morning and it definitely lived up to the hype. There were 8 of us, but we only waited about 15 min which was surprising because of how busy it was. Our waitress was kind and attentive, and quick to correct any mistakes. I ordered chocolate chip pancakes ($10.50) with a side of home fries ($4.50) and mmm mmm mmm it was so good. The whipped butter with the fluffy, chocolate filled pancakes really hit the spot. I'm also a huge fan of home fries and these were exactly the salty crunch I needed to pair well with the pancakes. My friends also said that the cold brew was pretty good! We were in and out quickly because of how fast we ate/how good it was. It's also a cute little cozy diner scene. Definitely recommend.

definitely one of the better places to eat in the wildwood area! it's a little touristy but the food is good. the menu is extremely centered around breakfast foods and sweet ones at that (pancakes, french toast, etc). don't expect to grab a lunch item here or set your bar very low. for being so crowded service was pretty good and the coffee refills came steadily. of course the pancakes are delicious. thin, soft, tender. perfect when smothered with butter and syrup. def a staple we'll come back to next time we are down the shore!

Good food , fast service, old fashioned eatery so don't expect a wow moment. They make it there business to turn over tables so customers get to experience their good food. CIAO FOR NOW

It's a decent spot if you want a gluten free breakfast that also has a lot of non gluten free options for others. It's not the most robust GF menu but it's there. I was happy enough with what they offered after a long walk around town. Our server was attentive and sweet which is all you can hope for first thing in the morning. The food was good and portion sizes were pretty large. I have Celiac and I wouldn't say that it's GF safe for everyone or for very sensitive Celiacs but I didn't experience any issues. Presentation of my waffles was so great and they didn't skimp when I ordered extra whip. We will definitely go back when we are back in town. P.s. we went in the off season and since this is one of very few good breakfast spots, it got pretty busy pretty quick.

So many choices and they are all amazing! Staff were super nice and friendly. We are for sure coming back on this trip and highly recommend this as a must h

Generous portions of scrambled eggs, sausage and potatoes, coffee was ok, food was ok not great. Reasonable prices and good service though.

WOW- the blueberry pancakes were DELICIOUS!! so yummy that i asked my fiancée to recreate them once we returned home to NY. we also purchased an adorable turtle magnet that said Cape May, NJ on it to match our matching tattoos. service was prompt and friendly. restaurant has a comfortable, cozy feel with a good amount of space too- i really loved being able to sit at the booth by the window!

Uncle Bill's is a chain with 7 locations in Jersey shore towns. It's a touristy spot. I've had much better breakfasts at hometown diners and other mom/pop shoretown diners. This place fed us, but unfortunately has nothing I can really recommend. It has a good size parking lot for a busy area that charges almost everywhere for parking. We were lucky to get a spot. It's always going to be crowded in here, so keep that in mind too. Our server was friendly and did a great job. She made a nice looking hot chocolate with whipped cream. Coffee was very weak. Huge disappointment. My little hotel room machine makes stronger coffee. I expected more out of the blueberry pancakes breakfast. It was a few fluffy pancakes stuffed with some blueberries. This dish could've been so much more if it had even just a sprinkling of fresh blueberries, which are in peak season now in the area. I ordered a side of strawberries with one of the waffle dishes and we got a scooping of the sugary canned strawberries they use for filling pancakes...for $5. The pancakes are fluffy here, but nobody was wow'd by their breakfasts to make us want to return.

This local beach chain was a new find for me and I am SO glad I found it. The cutest old school looking beachy diner, there's even a little bar area that we sat at that was super cute. And GREAT food. And because of the name, I just had to try the pancakes and they were perfection. The perfect amount of fluffiness and still thin enough to be able to eat them all! The staff was super friendly even with it being so packed with people, I'd go back for sure!!

We had an okay experience here. Nothing stood out, but nothing was necessarily bad either. We prefer the ocean city location!

Great place for a casual breakfast in Cape May. Huge space, plenty of tables and very good diner breakfast foods. You definitely have to get the pancakes, and they have so many different pancake options/specials, as well as plenty of other breakfast options, like eggs Benedict.

i'm a self proclaimed eggs benedict connoisseur. Unfortunately that makes me a tough critic. I would not come back for the eggs benedict but it was silly of me to order that at a pancake house!! my boyfriend got the pigs in a blanket and it was amazing. The sausages were sooo good and very big. It was an amazing combination with the pancakes. Highly recommend the pigs in a blanket!

Yelp Mad Batter…read morereally impressed me. There we were, in Cape May on Thanksgiving Saturday looking for parking nearby. After finally finding a space, we walked up to Mad Batter, where there were already a number of people standing outside. We were a party of seven, so this wasn't looking good for us. Well, we had a Thanksgiving miracle. They had a table ready for us in less that ten minutes! The food and service here were both very good. I had the crab cake sandwich. It was very mild in flavor but still good. I recommend it, but I'll try some of their other offerings before I get it again. My sister-in-law had one of the specials, the Fried Tomato & Cracked Black Pepper Bacon Sandwich. She and my brother agreed that it was messy but delicious. The lobster mayo set it off nicely. Our server was really friendly and accommodating. She made sure we were taken well care of. We pointed out an error in the check, and she was very kind in taking care of it, and gave no attitude. If you can find parking, this place is worth coming to!

The worse possible service ever! TO THE OWNER: Please…read moreremind all waitstaff to ask customers about any allergies before serving food, to ensure their safety and prevent any potential harm. I ordered the harvest salad with candied walnuts. I have no idea what candied walnuts are, so I wish the waiter asked if I had any allergies because they can SOMETIMES contain cinnamon in it and I am allergic to cinnamon. When the salad came out I started to eat the salad and noticed my throat starting to feel funny. I didn't mix the salad well so I just ate the arugula with the sauce and the chicken. Half way through I noticed there were walnuts and I took a bite of it and my throat immediately started to swell and I can feel my face and tongue getting itchy. Thank god I have my allergy medications on me, but what if the next person this happens to doesn't... We immediately told the server about my cinnamon allergy and the waiter looked at me like I was joking because I ate half of it and then asked me "So you're done with that?" and I said, "Yes I can't eat it anymore, I'm allergic to it and it's contaminated with everything else. I felt my throat starting to close up, but I am okay because I have my allergy medicine. " He asked if I wanted anything else and I said no just a hot tea to help with inflammation. I appreciate that the server was trying to help us out, but he still came back with the bill and said the owner is still going to charge me because it says candied walnuts on the menu, implying that it's my fault...I really expected this place to have better service, but looking at past reviews I can see how this place has overpriced underrated food and terrible service. They don't care about their customers and certainly just focused on making money. Hopefully after today they include that their candied walnuts have cinnamon in it! Or at the very least ask the customers if they have any allergies beforehand

It's easy to get to all the shops and eateries, but you aren't right in the thick of everything, which made for a more calm and relaxing stay. The hotel has complimentary bikes, and we were able to bike to town in just a few minutes. The hotel is small and there are only a few guestrooms. We stayed on the top floor and our window had ocean views which was such a treat. I was worried about the room being hot but the AC was extremely strong. Rooms are a bit dated and the carpet really needs to be replaced. The bed is super comfy and the bathroom is more updated, but new carpet would really make the room - the current carpet is like a funky green. We had to try the restaurant since it gets such great reviews and it definitely lived up to the hype. The lobster fra diavolo was sooo good and came with so much lobster meat. Breakfast is included in the stay and was so delicious. They have a screened in porch that overlooks the ocean and there's really no better way to start off your day. Everyone that works here is friendly and helpful, and there are little cute touches like complimentary drinks and snacks, a wine and cheese hour and beach items like umbrellas and chairs. Overall this is a super cute hotel - it's classy and beautiful and the perfect backdrop for photos, and the oceanfront location is prime.
