I love coming to Golden Stop. It is a bit off the beaten path and offers a serene atmosphere to enjoy a coffee or a light bite. The greek hummus sandwich is wonderful. A fun place to combine with a visit to Animal Outreach down the street to support the kitties that are up for adoption. read more

I've been to 3 or 4 Cape May coffee shops so far. I've found them all to be pretty much the same. Decent food, pretty good coffee. None of them stands out above the others. My suggestion- go to whichever one is closest. read more

Not 10/10 incredible but not bad! Coffee was goood and atmospheres cute but the service not so much. Employee sat chatting w her friends while we stood there for a solid 10 minutes (nobody else was in the cafe) then when 2 new people walked in she immediately took their order lol. It's not "OMG this is amazing" but it is a cute spot with decent food. Major plus that they have some gluten free options. If you're in a pinch you can get a decent GF breakfast here. My GF bagel was pretty burnt around the edges, I didn't love that, but I had already had a real breakfast so it wasn't a huge deal. My husband said his regular bagel sandwich was good! Honestly only originally went here because it was so cute! Pleasantly surprised by just how cute it is. read more

The best coffee shop in Cape May! I was taken back by the interior of this place, very cute & very much lived up to its name - GOLDEN. Short line on a busy Friday morning that went fairly quick. The host was very nice and gave her personal recommendations. Breakfast sandwich was amazing 10/10, I loved that they had sourdough, not many places offer and it's my favorite. Coffee was also one of the best I've had, espresso was light and the salted caramel was the perfect balance. I would definitely come back, while I am a coffee girl my partner isn't. So the fact that they also had fresh juices was the cherry on top for me. Would love to come back for lunch one day I'm back in the area. read more

What a pleasant surprise and hidden gem! I'm so glad we found it. We were looking for a place for a good coffee and a healthy snack and found both here! I had the peanut butter toast and the just beet it juice and both were excellent! The decor is super cute with pastel pinks and a cozy pillowed bench lining the one wall. A welcoming place to sit with your laptop while enjoying the good eats. You will not be disappointed. This is a case where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. The food is good but doesn't blow you away. Coffee and drinks are good. Service is kind of random, with items served when ready. Staff did not greet me when I came in, which is something I always look for in good costumer service. I can tell the business is still figuring things out, the inside lacks the homey vibe that other CM coffee shops offer. Food takes a while. Light, healthy bites that are very, very tasty. The avocado-feta toast was awesome. You could tell there is attention to detail. I often stop in for a juice. Also the maple latte was very good: earthy and not too sweet. Healthy options are limited in Cape May, so this place really fills a need. Cute decor inside. Limited baked goods options, couple baked items, did not see any gluten free baked goods. Was-told there was gluten free bread, wraps. and oatmeal. Would like to see some fresh baked muffins. We did not care for our berry smoothies, needs formulation tweak, was mainly banana-based with little berry.
