The service was absolutely amazing: friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome from the moment we walked in. The only downside was the food and coffee. We ordered toasted bagels, but they were barely toasted and tasted more like plain bagels. The coffee was unfortunately very disappointing as well. Even after adding half-and-half, I couldn't finish it because of the taste. We thought we would stop in for a non sit down breakfast wanting it to be fast and not as expensive. It was neither of those things. We walked in and it was super crowded. This seems to be one of the few places like this in the area and everyone comes here. Which is why I assume they can charge outrageous prices. We tried to order a yogurt fruit bowl but they were out of fruit so we ordered 2 avocado toasts, a latte and a black coffee. It was $46. Am I the only one that almost fell over? The avocado toasts were pretty good and big. We could have shared one if I had known. We also waited so long for them. This is hands down the best breakfast spot I've been to in Cape May! Breakfast for 2 came out to $16 and the price is unbeatable. The food was so good that we came here two days in a row. I tried the cheddar jalapeño bagel, the lox cream cheese, pork roll omlette with home fries and whole wheat toast and the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a bagel. All were delicious!! The bagels are so fresh, crispy on outside and soft on inside. I didn't think I could get a bagel this good in south jersey. This restaurant/breakfast place has a charming underground theme that I enjoyed. However, it is quite pricey, as a simple coffee with almond milk and cinnamon cost me about 7 dollars (if you're into super sugary coffee this place might not be it for you). The staff was friendly and cheerful, but the place was crowded on the weekend and there was a long line to get in. The food was tasty, especially the bagels that were fresh and satisfying. The service and the food were good, but the cost was high. I can see that this place gets good reviews because of the decor. If that is why you get bagels, then this is the place. If you go there for the bagels you will be disappointed. Yes the service is slow, but I sort of expect that at a beach resort. No one in the place is motivated to move quickly. The bagels were terrible. the bagels that we got were all stale and gummy inside. As other reviews mentioned, the place is super expensive. I would normally give them a pass on the price if the product was good, but it was not. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese. I should have checked it before I left but the wait was so long that I wanted to get back to my family. When I opened my wrapper and looked at the bagel it looked like they had forgot the cream cheese. When I opened the bagel the cream cheese looked like a thin layer of paint. I didn't think it was possible to spread cream cheese that thin! This was a real slap in the face after paying the exorbitant prices. Say away! read more

Stopped for breakfast before hitting the beach. The bagels were incredibly fresh, perfectly toasted (crunchy on the exterior but still soft on the interior). The smell of the everything bagels coming from the toaster were mesmerizing. We got bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel and pork roll and cheese on a blueberry bagel (sorry no pics of that one). The bacon was perfectly cooked not too crunchy and not too fatty. There was an insane amount of seasoning on the bagel which is exactly what I want to see, not a sprinkling that you get from some places. Also whatever cheese they use is perfect for these kind of sandwhiches. Even the seagulls thought it was delicious as one swooped down and took half my sandwhich out of my hand The porkroll was the perfect thickness and was a delicious combination of savory and sweet on the blueberry bagel. Tried for the first time recently. Bagel with cream cheese and a bagel sandwich. For a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel, it somehow lacked flavor. Was still good though. The veggie cream cheese was flavorful, but the everything bagel could have had more seasoning on it. Service was great, staff was friendly. I wish the cream cheeses in the case at the counter were labeled so you could see what was still available. I wish a menu was posted or the were available at the start of the line as well. The only negative I would have to say is that the one register was asking for a name for your order for when your order is ready and the girl who rung us up did not ask for a name therefore causing some confusion when our order was ready and if it was actually ours. My boyfriend and I both got a cold brew coffee which was good. He ordered a pork roll, egg and cheese on an everything bagel which he enjoyed. I had the avocado toast which was amazing. Had an excellent western omelette here that was defiantly big enough to share and was also delighted that they offered fresh squeezed orange juice. This is a lovely beach front setting and we enjoyed the coffee as well. We did not have an opportunity yet to try the bagels but they looked delightful and fresh. Actual Bagel = 4.25 stars Service = Closer to 3 Came here this morning before heading back to NYC after a couple of days in peaceful Cape May. I was sick of having really bad omelettes so I convinced my husband to get a bagel and head to the road instead. As a New Yorker of course my bagel expectations are pretty high. I have to say the bagel was really good. Huge, soft inside, perfect consistency. By 10:30am they were out of the sesame bagel, multi grain everything, and a BUNCH of other options. I went for the white everything bagel (which I later regretted, my stomach wasn't ready for everything), and scallion cream cheese. They didn't have decaf iced coffee so I opted for the decaf latte instead. My husband got the bacon egg and cheese on a plain bagel and a black iced coffee. I have to say the woman behind the counter was middle aged and super polite, certainly had a manager/or owner attitude which was great. She asked for my name, and my husband and I waited at a nearby table for our food/coffees. Total for everything was $19.10 which i thought was a little high but totally okay if they delivered in quality. The tables inside were small, and it was annoying to see so many flies in there, though I guess during this of year it's inevitable. My husband and I got a pretty bad sunburn during the weekend so though seating al fresco was available we chose inside AC seating instead. The rest of the staff working there was pretty young, all under 20 I'm sure. I think most of the places in cape May are open April to November so it may be tough to secure seasonal staff only and I think that's why mostly all staff in all restaurants that we visited were very young. The young server came over with our iced drinks and threw them on the table, which startled my husband and I. She definitely needs further training on customer service. Also my husbands black iced coffee had a lot of space for milk, which he didn't want (hence black). Then I heard my name by the counter; our bagels were ready, yay! I went over and picked up our bagels. My bagels was wrapped oddly, my husbands looked perfect. I opened the wrapper for my bagel, and was surprised by the conservative amount of cream cheese, which is surprising because bagel places are usually super generous with their cream cheese. The other half of my bagel was even more surprising as it was missing cream cheese on a full quarter of the bagel. Of course I got up and asked for more. The bagel and spread were good, and my decaf latte was really good too, but I really feel like their staff need more training. Anyways all that to say, of course I would be back, and while consider arriving much earlier so that I don't miss out on a larger variety of bagels. read more
