Who doesn't like Uncle Bills pancakes? Uncle Bills and Cape May couldn't exist without each other. The pancakes are very good. This trip had the peanut butter pancakes which are great. Also love the corn pancakes for a nice change of pace. My daughter is gluten free and they have a gluten free menu as well. The chocolate chip pancakes were also enjoyed on this trip. Absolutely LOVED Bill's Pancake House! Having bent to the one in Cape May many times, I was sure to seek out this location while staying in Villas for a week. First of all, our waitress on the first visit was the epitome of a friendly hometown restaurant waitress - great sense of humor who brought us great food! Place was packed to the brim when we arrived around lunchtime, but the service was awesome - great locals vibe, too. We made 2 more visits & our experiences (and food) were equally positive. "Well, my Uncle Bill's got a still on the hill Where he runs off a gallon or two The buzzards in the sky get so drunk they can't fly From smelling that good old mountain dew" (traditional Appalachian song) We had a few hours to kill before we caught the ferry to Delaware, so we were cruising around Cape May, and when we saw the sign for Uncle Bill's Pancake House, well that kind of made our lunch destination an easy choice. Uncle Bill's was jam packed and we were super lucky to get one of the rare tables for two. After we were seated, the next thing I noticed was the dining room seemed unproportionally staffed for the huge crowd. When we paid our bill, I realized why, when we learned that three servers had all called out sick that day. So I have to give a big shoutout to the staff that was on duty. They had to deal with much larger stations, more customers, and more meals per shift than usual. Oue server, Jamie, did a great job despite the heavy workload. He never stopped smiling and being cordial, so he did a nice job hiding the day's stress. We ordered Chocolate Chip Waffles ($9.50) and three scrambled eggs with a side of that New Jersey delicacy known as Pork Roll/ Taylor Ham ($10.50). Coffees were $2.75 each. My eggs were fine, and the two slices of salty yummy Taylor Ham were a rare treat indeed. Our breakfast for two was $25.50 before tax and tip. Bill's is open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch, then closes at 2:00 pm. Breakfast is served all day with over 15 different types of pancakes, waffles, French toast, omelets, and more. I've noticed people utilizing street parking across the street on Bayshore, which seems to be permitted. Also, it is very very very loud in here. Didn't bother me after a while. For our last breakfast in Cape May, we stopped at Uncle Bill's Pancake House! We waited about 15-20 minutes to get seated, and the restaurant was packed and definitely pretty noisy. We did wait quite a while to order, but tried to stay patient as our server was so busy boxing up takeout orders and trying to handle how many customers there were. The menu had so many great pancake choices, and I had the peach pancakes, which were unique as they were folded in almost crepe style. my boyfriend and i have been on a hunt for good pancakes in the area and we were not disappointed with uncle Bills pancake house! The pancakes were extremely moist and fluffy. we loved that they gave us a big bottle of syrup instead of a small cup and a very generous scoop of butter! The breakfast special was pretty good, nothing crazy! we like keeping it simple. the potatoes were nice and soft with some crunch from the peppers and onions and a few crispy pieces of potatoes. no complaints! the service was great! our waitress was quick to take our order and checked on us a couple of times to make sure everything was good and to ask if we needed anything else. it was slightly busy when we went (breakfast rush) but we got seated fairly quickly. it has a more old fashioned look but that's what made it feel cozy and like we were getting a home cooked breakfast! we will definitely be coming back for more pancakes! read more

Always a solid choice, especially at this location. While many of the other locations are a good source for good pancakes, they also feel like somewhat of a tourist obligation. The North Cape May location, however, comes with amazing service from a group that makes you feel like family and friends. We stay in the area a few times throughout the year, and Uncle Bills is always on the itinerary for a good meal with phenominal service. While, of course, the pancakes are a must have (highly recommend pumpkin pancakes when offered and strawberry pancakes) I really enjoy their cream chipped beef over toast and hashbrowns as a breakfast option and their reuben is probably one of my very favorites (open faced) for lunch. Anyone that's a long time and frequent visitor to the Jersey Shore from Ocean City south is probably familiar with Uncle Bill's. The pancakes are large and they have many different types to choose from. My family has their favorites. I love the Iowa Corn Pancakes and Eggs Benedict, my son the blueberry pancakes with blueberry syrup, my one daughter likes plain pancakes, and my other daughter apple pancakes. My wife is the wildcard, she likes to try something different most times. Today she got the special which was Raisin Bread French Toast. My Iowa Corn Pancakes were very enjoyable as always, the Eggs Benedict was good. The sauce was just a little to tangy, I prefer it on the buttery side. My wife likes her French Toast, very large portion that she couldn't finish. The kids only get a short stack and the 2 pancakes are large enough to fill them up. Everyone left full and happy! Our server was extremely nice and attentive. Uncle Bill's has a very good breakfast selection but like most everything these days it's pricey. Uncle Bill's Pancake House is such an example of how American/diner kinds of breakfasts are simply the best. Eggs, hash browns, delicious hot cakes and more! Bill's has multiple locations but we chose this particular location because it was closer to where some of our family was staying. We noticed that for a Monday morning it was really busy inside! Despite how chilly it was, we have been choosing outdoor dining just to be safe. The waitress, Mariah, was very friendly to serve outside despite the chillier weather. She was really attentive even though it was very busy inside and she was really friendly and accommodating with us even though we were outside. We had a large menu to choose from which caused us to take a while to decide but ultimately my husband and I chose their breakfast special and their pancake platter special. Both came with either one or two eggs and a choice of meat and either hash browns or pancakes etc. We also ordered a stuffed french toast entree which came with a delicious cinnamon butter. I devoured my breakfast! It came with (imo) quintessential NJ diner pork sausages which I hadn't had in a long time during the pandemic. The rye toast was perfectly toasted and buttered. I chose the home fries but looking back now I'd swap my home fries for tots instead. So, not a huge surpeise, their vegan options were lacking. My brother ordered oatmeal with fruit and and a side of tater tots but both portions were very large! The tater tots were super hot and crispy and stayed crispy down to the last bite (even though it was cold out and the tots cooled pretty quickly). We were impressed, haha. You can't beat the huge portions sizes and the low cost for these entrees. It's just a wonderful (though gluttonous) time - you really just have to have an American style breakfast like at Uncle Bill's. We will definitely come back! read more

Food was amazing here and customer service was just as good! Came in with my party of 5 after looking at a house my parents just bought in the area. I had the Uncle Bills in Wildwood and this location was 100 times better! This restaurant was way cleaner and the staff were fast and friendly. Ordered the stuffed French toast after looking over the menu of many of items that made my mouth water as I read the descriptions. French toast with cinnamon butter and stuffed with a creamy cheese filling, I am so happy I chose this breakfast item because when it came I ate it within minutes because it tasted so good. The french toast were hot and fresh and had fresh blueberries on top which was the icing on top! the cinnamon butter was something out of this world and was so delish. I also had some bacon from my moms plate and it was exactly how i like it extra crispy! My niece also ordered the stuffed french toast and you could tell we enjoyed our meal because our end of the table was completely silent other than hearing the chomping of the food. My daughter had the eggs and bacon and enjoyed her meal as well. I will deff be making it down here again when I come and help my parents fix their new house. read more
