Stopped at this place right at opening time, and what a large great selection of pastries. The pastries were definitely the best part, moist and absolutely delicious, but my latte was underwhelming. This cafe is quite popular so be ready to wait in line. It was Sunday morning and I arrived around 8:30 and I saw a line probably 15 people ahead of me. Some baked goods are available for grab in containers upon entering. On the shelves you can buy som tea, La Columbe coffee beans, pasta sauce, jalapeño ketchup, bacon ketchup. Also strawberry jam and fig jam. As you are approaching the counter, you can buy a dozen eggs from the farm. $6 a dozen is quite pricey but they're fresh. On the counter you can find varieties of baked food including some gluten-free and vegan options. Today they had among others chocolate croissants, butter croissants, sweet scones, savory scones, muffins, apple cake, pumpkin chocolate chip bread. Cranberry orange bread. All of them looked appetizing. You can get La Columbe coffee decaf and regular at the register. The staff was very friendly and patient. She explained that the scone flavors vary every day. Chocolate croissant was delicious and buttery. The scone and chocolate muffin were fresh and moist. Shortbread tart with strawberry jam: you can buy a small one or a pie-size one. Soo delicious, the crust was buttery but not crumbling and the jam is fresh and homemade. None of the items that I picked disappointed me. I highly recommend this place. Unfortunately, we really wanted to like this place. It was recommended on social media and we came here specifically on the good reviews. We ordered the nitro coffee and were left unsatisfied. The coffee was 60% foam and 40% coffee. When asked if we could be topped off due to less than half the cup being filled, we were met with annoyance from the staff. We have had nitro coffee prior and understand that this can happen but understand there are ways for this to not occur. They met our request but we will not be coming back to this establishment. It had no flavor, bitter and mostly foamy even when settled. There is much better coffee in Cape May NJ and this is not one of them. read more

My girlfriend stopped in on a Sunday afternoon in March after riding bikes around Cape May for a few hours. The coffee shop and adjoining outlet shops were pleasantly full but not packed. There was no line to order drinks. She ordered a double shot of espresso and a seltzer, I got the housemade chai, which ended up being one of the best chais I've ever had. We sat at two of the seats by the window and people watched for a pleasant half hour. Very chill and we'll decorated. Nice way to kill some time on a lazy Sunday. Bring Fido says they're Dog Friendly, but I still asked and immediately they asked back if Haru would want a "cup pup". She gobbled it up. And I loved their savory scones of rosemary, garlic and thyme, I think. The quiche was just alright, my daughter said. It did look a bit plain, but the coffee crumb cake was also good. It's connected to the West End Garage which is an ideal place to shop for trinkets and such that you might, or might not need. It reminded me of Etsy, if Etsy had a physical store. This is the coffee shop you want in your neighborhood. It is also connect to the equally awesome West End Garage. Stopped here a couple times during the shore trip and each time the coffee hit the spot like a local coffee joint is supposed to. I admittedly did not try any of the baked good because in both visits I was breakfast/brunch bound. Boy though did they look delicious, particularly the cookies and the pumpkin spiced bread. Lots of options with the drinks and milks, with a simple menu. There are a lot of take home goods such as wrapped goods, sauces, store merch and more. There is outdoor seating only as the space would be a bit crowded. There are a few coffee spots around the town, but this one should be tried at least once. read more

Very cool new coffee shop located in the newly remodeled front of West End Garage antique mall. They brew Columbe coffee and sell some local products (spices, sauces, etc.). There's a legit commercial bakery/kitchen right behind the cafe where they turn out fresh pastries and impressive donuts. I ordered a cortado with oat milk. They offered a good selection of non dairy milks (almond, soy, coconut, and oat). The coffee was perfect although in a place like this I'd expect the barista to put a design in the foam. I know...it has nothing to do with the taste of the coffee and maybe it's silly but I feel like it's always a cool touch and shows me the barista is having fun making it. My wife ordered a Chai which was delicious and full of spice. My daughter chose the 2 freshly made donuts for $4. She selected the coconut chocolate and orange cream. Both fantastic. I'm not huge a fan of antique shopping so if I end up in the area again, this is where I can be found for sure. read more

Wow, what a find! We found this hidden little gem while we were shopping at the garage next-door. I ordered a decaf cappuccino for my mom as well as a cheddar zucchini scone. My mother who is 87 said it was the best cappuccino she's had her entire life! She said the flavor of the coffee was like no other. The scone was delicious, A perfect flaky Dough with savory zucchini and cheddar. She was so happy with his coffee, I had to take her back the next day. The next day we also got a cheddar, chive scone which was absolutely amazing! She said next trip, we have to go there every day! Hidden gem, do not sleep on this place! You walk in to a cozy cafe that has plenty of outdoor seating. Gluten-free and vegan options are abound, on top on non-resticted items. This place has become my coffee/cookie stop when I ride my bike. The place is so quint and so inviting. The ladies behind the counter always have a smile on their face and a nice word for their customers. I am addicted to their gluten free cookie, even though I'm not on a GF diet I found it moist, perfect amount of sweetness and flavorful. I have tried their scones, OMG so good, their pound cake, their chocolate chip cookies and I have not be disappointed by any. A modern country vibe with an organic splash. Careful you don't run over any of the chickens while parking. Their small market was charming, they have some good ol' organic produce in there. I was eying on that bbq sauce that they make, it looked good. Outside is where they serve food and I heard its a "farm to table" affair. Came for Labor day weekend, as one does in Cape May, and heard about this place from a friend. We stopped in this morning and waited in a long line but it was totally worth the wait. This is our go to breakfast in Cape May. Nice little shop in the West End Garage. Service is always friendly and easy going. Our visits basically come down to four categories. My wife gets her chai tea lattes. Then we share a large assortment of quiches, scones, and other baked goods. The quiches are the perfect for breakfast. We usually get one or two of the ham and cheese and one of the veggie ones. We go absolutely bizerk on the scones though. They are the best scones I've ever had. I pretty much order one of each, but I especially love their savory scones and any scones with strawberry in them. Amazing. On top of those items there always a wide range of other baked goods like muffins and breads. Their pumpkin breads are outstanding in the fall. The offerings change so much I can't tell you what to go specifically for, but just know they're all amazing. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. I should be back in the area in two weeks. We were all excited to see if they had done if the delicious baked goods we had tried on the farm and happy to discover they had more items we had but seen.
